Title: Anonymous Altruists
Post by: InterArmaEnimSil on July 18, 2010, 10:41:32 AM
I keep getting random influxes of BTC....five cents here, 1BTC there....I can only assume they're from people on the forums, as I know no one who uses bitcoins.  Thanks to whomever it may be.  I'd really like to know who.

alright, alright, i confess. i think i liked the way you explained how inflation can still occur with loans, and that a hard limit of 21 million coins isn't insurance against inflation.

i wanted to type this in the "explanation" box, or whatever, but it won't let you type in a description when not sending to an IP.

Can you get transaction fees without finding a block?

afaik you can get the transaction fees even if you are not generating coins at all.

Nope. You only get them when you publish a block. It's added to the 50 BTC created from nothing.

One of 'em was me. I decided to start giving out a few BTCs to people whose posts I appreciated ;)
