Title: Recommendations for newbies
Post by: lagracia on June 19, 2018, 12:01:48 AM
Basically, what are the common things we need to learn first about Bitcoins, aside from the terms and guides? or maybe what can you recommend for newbies who's naturally has zero knowledge about bitcoins. I have read about Cryptocurrency and honestly, it's not that easy to understand at first but I am trying to do some more research.

Recommendation for what purpose ? Knowledge gain ? Investment ? Trade ?

I think for now is to gain knowledge, trading and such are more easy to learn after gaining knowledge. I'm having a hard time what to read, bitcoin has a very wide range I think, maybe you can also suggest something which is best for us beginners.

For gaining knowledge you can read this article
https://www.coindesk.com/information/what-is-bitcoin/ (https://www.coindesk.com/information/what-is-bitcoin/)

For trading ,I can't suggest anything , because price of BITCOIN is very volatile and unpredictable.
It's price totally depends on demand of BITCOIN.

I suggest only  "Don't hurry in investment and Don't panic at the time of market crash "!

Welcome to the family!
I think do not focus too much on the trading part first, you should understand why bitcoin and other altcoins are existing, on a what purpose and reason people are willing for trade for any particular coin, how new coins are born. There are an array of new and interesting things for you to explore more about cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Read News about crypto everyday while right now there are already many existing apps/websites mainly focus on cryptocurrencies field. Other than the value of the coin but the regulations are also fluctuating everyday. Search for more when you encounter any terms you had never seen or do not understand. This is the way for efficient learning!
Do not hesitate and give up:)

What did you read? I just remembered that a friend of mine got interested in bitcoin but the problem is he jumped right off into it's technical parts. That's a bad move if you're not a tech-savvy.

This one doesn't get too technical but still manages to cover the fundamental parts, check it out: What is Bitcoin? A Step-By-Step Guide For Beginners (https://blockgeeks.com/guides/what-is-bitcoin/). But-but If you're still having a hard time understanding, then maybe you need a more lighter one like what's on RAMSHIVDEEPAK post.

Here you can find a lot of the latest projects and the latest technical information, but if you need to understand the basics of bitcoin, then reading is the best way.

starting with earn for free its like minning, facuet, airdrop,or bounty
when you reach the market to sell something then there you have to learn trading
if you have a profit from trading, starting invest and learn what you think is suitable for investing
if you already understand, make some project and you will become a boss

At first, beginners need to analyze all the way bitcoin since its release. Then look at the price changes. And later when it becomes clear how it works, you can try to trade on the exchange.

I am currently doing research about cryptocurrencies, altcoins, blockchain and such, and actually the terms are totally confusing. I also tried looking for trading and investments cause that's what I heard the most, as much I wanna join and reply to the threads, it won't make me cause I don't really know the terms. Reading this I guess I'm on the right track.

Get some knowledge from the above guides and play around a little bit.
On several exchanges you can try out some of your trained skills without losing too much money :)

My recommendations: think long term, learn more and invest the money you earn here in yourself, don't be greedy and lastly trust nobody there is really no crypto expert.

As Henry Ford said “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty."
Everything is not easy at the very first time but if you keep learning you will be expert soon, in cryptocurrency space if you want to learn about this market only theoretical knowledge is just not enough you have to do parctical also like you have to do trade or invest. And you have to put urself in a continuous practice zone and then you will do mistake and from your every mistake you will learn a new lesson.
So whether your motive is to learn about this market then continue practice and learning.

As per my opinion in bitcointalk you will find everything what you require at the beginning, so keep spending time in forum much more rather than other place.
Thanks

Here are some of it.

What wallet you are going to use and what exchange suits your country.

Don't use an exchange that it's impossible to your country to do bank transfers or local cash outs.

Is there also an Ethereum forum?
