Hello friends. In the firts sorry for my English, but I will try to say the main thing.
Today 23 june 2018 I declare the beginning of the war with ASIC vendors.

ASIC vendors pose a threat for decentralization, peoples and the planet. Because

• ASIC vendors considered ordinary people stupid users, because their asics uses for own enrichment before shipping to customers.
• ASIC users violate decentralization, because they have the most coins and manipulate the price.
• ASIC kills promising coins, technologies and algorithms. The boiling point was murder equihash algo and Zcash coin.
• The production of ASICs is a threat to the planet and the ecology.

And now I ask people to unite for building a brighter future of a decentralized crypto world. I ask everyone to follow the rules and we will definitely win. My suggestions:

• All people stop buying any ASIC equipment.
• Employees of all ASIC factories must resign at their own volition.
• Large companies and banks should impose sanctions on all suppliers AISC components.
• All active coins for which ASICs are used must produce anti-ASIC hardfork.

In the past, ASIC markets were heavily centralized under bitmain which could represent a market valued as high as $30-$40 billion dollars. With nvidia, samsung and other semiconductor or GPU manufacturers poised to enter the ASIC market, we should see greater market decentralization as competition heats up.

Great market competition unfortunately doesn't necessarily imply less sabotaging of hardware to single out certain intellectual property from having subpar performance against other altcoins. It might be noted however software has potential to be more flexible than hardware, which could give altcoins an advantage over hardware producers building ASICs. If someone wants to enlighten me on "zcash and murder equihash algo" I would be interested in learning more on that.

In the past, apple sabotaged its operating systems in a way which prevented flash from running on them so enable apple to push its own html5 multimedia standard. Microsoft may have sabotaged its OS for a time to sabotage OpenGL in an effort to push its own Direct X IP. In a way, these types of restrictive moves could be very difficult to oppose and even open platforms could be susceptible to to a degree of cross market competition via sabotage, which makes things difficult.

Now 50% of Zcash blocks found by ASIC's(Bitmain presumably). This is a catastrophe.

I want to start off by saying that I understand your sentiment. ASICs could certainly be perceived as a threat, especially if the market is monopolized. There are lots of people who hate Bitmain for example. I feel like there are a couple of things wrong with your solutions though.


I'll respond bullet by bullet

• If people stop buying ASICs, wouldn't the hashpower be even more centralized? That would mean only the manufacturer will be able to have access to devices that mop the floor against the competition.
• Employees have mouths to feed, and it's often not worth throwing away the means to that because of ideals. Certainly not this one in my opinion.
• This needs to happen on a legislative level if you want any kind of compliance. Banks and companies stand to lose money by not dealing with them.
• I'm not well-versed in the issue, but can a PoW coin be truly ASIC-proof? Wouldn't manufacturers simply need to create hardware for the exact algorithm in question? If you're going to change the algorithm every now and then to stop ASICs, wouldn't that discourage people from mining? I'm genuinely interested about how it will work. I don't have a strong stand on the issue.

Overall it seems like a problem with no easy answers.

You recognize a problem we have known to exist for a very long time but the solutions you propose do not make sense, you are asking people to go against their best economic interest and in a capitalist economy that never works and you are also asking banks to help us with this when banks are the natural enemies of cryptocurrencies and they will like to see them destroyed instead.

I can't say ASIC doesn't lead to centralization, but boycotting them altogether is probably not the option. I think that what we need is more competition in the ASIC market, making them less expensive and accessible to more users. Of course big mining companies can always create ASIC farms, but if they are not that expensive, maybe more users will actually buy them for home use, and the mining pools could lose a small percentage of their share, which would be good enough I guess.

ASIC market is no more centralised like before when Bitmain dominated the entire market making Chinese manipulators to enjoy.But now,the big internet giant of Japan has too entered the market which would help to.make the ASIC market decentralised.

Do you really that people will stop using the ASICS at all? I dont think that it is possible anytime soon. This is becoming trend of newline now. Get whats the latest one and start putting it at work. Thats all they can do about it and as far as manufacturers are considered I dont really think that they will shut themselves anytime. Its there golden era to earn big  money from the instruments that they are creating in the first place. Crypto currencies has become addiction to mist of the miners and they always keep upgrading themselves with latest technology and well in this case its about miners.
