Signed! Hopefully at least a few people would stop buying Apple products because of this and Apple's behaviour in general.

You need to petition Apple with your money. Ditch the devices then they'll listen.

Exactly, but their fanboys won't care. I've got a battered iPhone 3 but wont be going back once it dies.

I do hope this petition of yours has some influence on Apple, but to be honest I don't see that happening because they see it as competition, that is they know bitcoins would lower their profits over time because they can't control it. They are thinking if you want to buy something from us you have to go trough us so we get a 30% commission...

They dont give a shit really... The number of us who want bitcoin  apps is SO small that it wont affect them if we swap. hahah

I'm talking about large scale really, not just Bitcoin users. Apple piss people off with their restrictions all the time. Just look how popular jailbreaking is.

Just look how popular jailbreaking is.
But apple never supported users unlocking their phones, and they probably never will.
I still doubt that the take-down of apps is compatible to their rights in the store, in my eyes someone needs to sue them for market manipulation.

I never said they did, but the fact that people have to even unlock them shows you how needlessly restrictive Apple is. People should just ditch them altogether. Hopefully they will overtime and their sales will reflect that, then they might reconsider the business practises.

What the fck is wrong with this new generation? Petition everything?  did you have your friends sign petition when your grounded?

Vote with your money, buy products from company you want to support. Stupid Apple fans....

The first time i heard of the term "jail break", i thought to myself .... idiots who volunteered to be "jailed" and continue doing so because they're hoping to "jail break".

But if you get a non-apple device... suddenly you won't have to care about what apple think or if they give a shit or not, because suddenly they will have 0 power on you.

How does that many people have 5 minutes to sign a petition and not 5 minutes to jailbreak their phone?
*sigh*

And a petition won't make a difference - Apple wants a 30% transaction fee on everything "sold" in an app distributed by them anyway. Jailbreak or switch to to another OS.

You can't jailbreak them all.

You're kidding right? Petitions make no difference? http://www.avaaz.org/en/highlights.php or http://www.change.org/victories. Enough signatures and they will without doubt pay attention, companies like Apple take their PR very seriously.

The gotcha is you need to get in the 100k sigs mark which is difficult with something as niche as bitcoin, got to try though right? Oh and ditch/jailbreak your iToys too of course, you throw everything at them...

Apple doesn't care. They even managed to shut up Martha Stewart when she started complaining on her twitter account. When has Apple EVER given a petition a second thought?
If they did, people wouldn't need to jailbreak their phones in the first place. Millions of people jailbreak for exactly that reason: Petitions do not matter when it comes to Apple - they have other ways of "handling their PR"("We will sue you for every pie you've ever made if you ever again say publicly that iPads are made of glass, Martha Stewart!")

Uhmm there is a blockchain wallet in the appstore not sure what else you want? :P

The Blockchain app got removed - and that's what started all this. Also, all apps showing addresses get rejected to be sold on the AppStore. Seems market data is ok.

I think people want a client like the Bitcoin wallet for android that actually stores a wallet on the device.

The blockchain app is still on Cydia for jailbroken devices though.
