Post by: electroxd on June 23, 2018, 07:45:01 PM
so, i am in need of 3$ in btc (0.000489)
i will pay you back 4-5$ in ETH afterwards.
Reason: i underpaid an item with 1.5$, and i cannot get any support from their website.
EDIT: 1-2 hours for payment
thanks!

After reading the reference feedback from Vod it appears you are here with the sole and only intention to scam. Posted to ask a BTC loan of 15 USD then now you need in this thread 3 USD in BTC and I think I saw you in the computer hardware section too but am not sure about that. Anyway this is enough why no one will lend you a single cent. Just stop your scamming attempts, it won't happen here.

Explain this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4486060.0) op?
Ignore him, he is a pedophile shitposter

Look at his trust ratings and while you're doing that, you can look at yours too :).

If you get wrong a bit where it says how much in btc you need to send how can we trust you won't get this wrong either and forget to send the coins back.
Also, where's this magic eth coming from and why can't you use it as collateral.

Buy another 1.5$?

Or show proof that you can get the eth AND/OR show proof that you actually owned the 15$ at some point?

Since you have been waiting almost four hours to get this filled, is it not possible to continue waiting until you get the eth through - or is that not possible?

I don't have paypal though and even if I did it woudn't be particularly good becuase it is reversible.

I'll send you the full 0.000489BTC anyway though if you can post your address?
Pay me back if you can, if not, I have done something to help someone here.

posting here and lending $3 worth w/o collateral isn't a wise idea specially when you are still a newbie.  you risked you reputation by doing that.  you are lucky someone helped you out.  wouldn't it be better to get that $3 out of you own wallet?  or get it from relatives/friends?

While its nice to help people, I would usually not suggest doing it when someone new asking for a loan with no collateral because then more people will expect the same or maybe think its free money (especially since OP claimed to only need it for a hour or so but it been about a day since he received it).

1. It's only been about half a day.
2. If the money doesn't return, that's not really an issue for me.
3. $3 here and there isn't bad to get a my bi-annual newbie test.
4. There is not reason for either of you two to weigh in here.
5. If you go to all the effort of sending screenshots of transactions you have done to someone via pm and post here quite a few times to scam someone out of $3 then you must be really desperate and poor so the money has gone to do some good.

You are right with most of your points but the truth is that not everyone plans to scam from the begining. This ideea usually occurs after someone obtained the funds and has no incentive to pay back.

Also, in most cases, the money that he received didn't do any good in the long run, because the person saw that it's possible to get money and never pay back and start pursuing this road. In the end will not end well.

Thanks for that piece of useless logic also.
There's not much point in any of you three posting here however. The fact that these requests don't come up so often is one of the reasons I may find them along with "evidence" op sent via PM.
I'd hope someone's conscience should force them to repay but apparently I'm judging people poorly.
If you want to reply to this DO SO VIA PM.

If you want to reply to this DO SO VIA PM.

It may be useless in your opinion but it may help others with far less experience.

I can see that you know exactly what you are doing and you have calculated the risk so the point of my posting was not targeted at you, but, as I said, to others less experienced in lending. It seems that you felt offended somehow by my post and overreacted, but, by all means I didn't told you what to do or not to do. I just explained the mentality and behavior in a specific scam case (don't missunderstand and think that I'm refering to this case exactly, I'm reffering to this exact situation where a scam may occur).

You have the right of your own opinion, but if by my posting I help at least one person to avoid beying scamed, then I don't see it as useless nor as with "not much point".

Also, I have no reason to reply to this VIA PM, because I don't want to start a debate about this. You are entitled to your oponion and I am entitled to mine. In no way I want to convince you to agree with me, but there is no need to use words like "useless" and "not much point".

People should have intelligence to know that if you giveout free money, you probably won't get repaid.

I have to say, I only wanted to give this loan because I was trying to combine a lot of inputs I have into one large one so it costs less to spend if the network gets a large volume in the blockchain again.

I'm also more referring to jonsi who seemed to suggest the OP shouldn't pay back because he has no reason to. As OP was probably not convinced on a possibility of actually repaying, something like that would rationalise it for them.

I didn't say your point was useless, I said posting logic is
