do you hear about the recent in  bitom exchange and coinrade exchange, so do you see why keeping money on exchange is very hard because once it is hacked they made away with your token or money.


so please what do you have to say about, because I m sure that is why the price of bitcoin and Ethereum goes down drastically this way.

coinmarkets is offline for more than 48 hours. Did they disappear ??

that is not relevant because coinmarket can't be of for 48hrs so I m strongly sure that they are online

There is no "bitom" or "coinrade" exchange, learn some basic how to write names correctly. There is hack of two south Korean exchanges Coinrail and Bithumb, all funds will be restored to users. Nothing to say about hacking exchanges, this is happening constantly and coins should not be keep online - last two hacks are not cause of recent price drop, it is in total 70 million $ damage in billions $ market.

Yes it is really a matter to worry but the fact is nothing is safe in internet. Anything can be hacked anytime. So we cannot stop keeping money on exchanges for the fear of being hacked as this fear is every where. Everything that is on internet can be hacked. So it will be a waste if we start don't keeping our money in the exchanges for the fear of being hacked. All we need to do is choosing the exchange very carefully and strictly maintain our privacy.

I think the exchange will be bithumb and coinrail. If so, I have heard about them. And hopefully it will be recovered soon. However, to fight against the hackers, it will be better to use hardware wallet.

Hmm i heard about the hack at Coinrail which amounted to about $40,000,000 of the total tokens that was stolen. Faithfully i don't like the idea of saving your money at an exchange all in the name of buying at a dip and sell at huge price because if the tokens are delisted from the site and you are not aware of such information you might lose your tokens so please guys let's learn a lot from the current cyber attacks and keep our tokens securely on our ethereum wallet address or what ever wallet your are using.

Yes i heard that the coinbase is getting hack by the hackers if you want to avoid losing when hackers attack do not put your token into exchange withdraw that all thats the only way how to avoid that situation.

I guess you are talking about coinrail and bithumb exchange. These two are Korean based exchange. Yes I heard these were hacked and huge amount Of money was stolen.We cant do anything of those hackers.Seeing the recent scenario, I'm a bit worried how people will keep their funds on exchange since exchanges are also insecure at this time.Something must be done in this aspect.

hacks are pretty common and they have always been common nearly as long as computers have been around. in crypto-world there is also one case of hack at least every week and sometimes they are too big that they make the news but most of them are not even worth talking about like these tiny exchanges that get hacked which OP is talking about. and they won't affect price of anything ever.

Korean exchanges Coinrail and Bithumb got hack recently,  we can take some lessons for this,  that dont stored your assets (coins/tokens) in an exchange site or else they will lose, if your exchange got hacked. Hackers are everywhere ,even the sites has a strong security, hackers can find some ways to steal, so better to be safe than sorry.

I can not think why maximum exchange was hacked in past or running hacking rest of the exchange.  It is right that there is no exchange where you store your money safely. You, the OP and other people who reply here that agrees about what exchange has been mentioned have to research first before saying yes or whatsoever, first there's no exchange with the name of "coinrade" or "bitom". And when using an exchange you should think in the very first place that there is a huge possibility that the site/exchange will be hacked since there is money behind and that's what hackers are looking for so take your risk when using this exchange and don't cry once the exchange you used are attacked.

Yes its Bithumb,a big Korean exchange which has been hacked.Such news of exchanges getting hacked seems to get normal nowadays which was once seen as a big news when Mt.Gox got hacked.That's why keeping our coins in exchanges is not advised.

News every now and then about hacking Exchanges and I observed that the more exchanges are being hacked the lower the price of bitcoin and is affecting the whole cryptocurrencies price. Despite the fact that there's no perfect security most especially when it comes to online business I think those exchanges are not putting effort to bring this issue of hacking exchanges all the time to an end. I just hope bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrencies gain their strength back soon.

I only know that bithumb got hack last week but don't know the other one. But you are right that keeping all your money in exchange are not safe cause one day they might get hack and don't have a fund to refund all the traders lost.

I'm not sure if you are still in the topic, as it's the exchange itself that was been hacked, so far extra security measured should be implemented and it's also the basis if you will going to invest your money and allow exchange to keep it while you are doing business, if the exchange can be trust storing decent capital can grow but if you are not sure better not invest money that you can't afford to lose,as hackers are just around and waiting for the next victim.

No way i will stored my coins and money in any exchanger even that exhcnager is top 1 in the world because it is too risky to live your investments in any exchanger wallet because if soemthings happen to that exchanger your just only lose your money for sure. i never save my asset on exchange that i didn't know. because nowadays there are so many new exchanges with their featured but i still prefer to save my asset in big exchange that still survive ex. like Poloniex and bittrex.
