We will not be successful if that is our mindset. I am also a retail investor, but I am not thingking of that way. We have to accept the fact that whales have a control over the market's price. I am an ordinary trader, too and it freaks me out everytime whales are doing their play to affect the price. But we can fight it by showing them that we are not afraid of that manipulation as well.

It will be good for market in long term perspective as soon as these sellers are washed out ofthe market there will be less sellers and more buyers in the market resulting in market going vertical.

Those are not hodlers, those are better be called weak hands.

The bear market will end someday, and those people will cry blood that they panic sold their belongings cheap.

So, be a patient hodler and laugh at them with me when it happens. No matter how long it takes, it will be worth it. Promise. :D

They are not holders for sure because there is no limit for a hodler in which he would sell all of his holdings. Most hodlers may cry at some point as well  :)

I don't have that mindset because I'm confident with my investment, I think at this time we are still in the early adoption of CryptoCurrency and this market will still grow.

This panic syndrome will do its job, I think that they will now sell their bitcoins very seriously, because they want to save at least something, but this is just an illusion of what they are actually cooking.

I never sell altcoin which I think is a good investment. And if many people are selling altcoin they may have their own calculations or they are panicked and unable to hold on for longer.

If this is true, I honestly do not think it's a good idea. It's not advisable for a holder to sell all his holdings as he would later regret when things get back to normal. When it comes to crypto projects, one really needs to be patient with any good coin one is holding.

Quitters are not welcome in the crypto market if you don't have the guts then leave this industry this is not for you try doing something good, on the other hand we are experiencing the volatility of the market this time and let them cry when the bull run soon to come.

Many of the investors are depending on their income that they struggle to get with their market trades. If they invest a small amount of money they can earn beer money and live without that invested money but almost 95 percent of the traders are striving towards the higher goals that are being represented with the growth of the value of their portfolio.

That growth cannot be made with small amount of the investment. Because of that 50 percent of the investors are investing 1/2, 1/3 of their household earnings in a hope of getting richer. The current situation on the market isn't so promising and the ones that have invested the amount I have spoken off are in fear of losing their money. This money is very much needed for their life and because of the long wait, they don't have the time to wait for better times.

Rich will get richer! That was always true fact. The ones with the most money can control the market and leave in despair the ones that are struggling in the market with their life savings investments. People should invest so much of the money they are willing to lose. That is the no. 1 rule on the market but almost 60 percent of the traders are not following it because they are being blinded by the illusion of the easy money.

If this how every investor feels or acts, then none will succeed. Even if some leave, others will still remain. I believe those leaving do not have good understanding of how important some altcoins can be. Altcoins bring in competition into the crypto space, which is better.

Common man , you should not judge others so quickly. You are talking to the entire community here. I know that you are trying to convey your message to the people who are selling their altcoins but it won't matter to them because they would have already sold or decided that they have to sell.
If they would have believed in crypto then they would not have sold it at the first place. Let them weep when we will celebrate our joy when the price of crypto rises.

Well, that is a normal dude. Not every people ready to lose big money.
So it's normal selling their asset to save the capital.

Not everybody can take risks as the others can. Some are soft heartened and weak and I must say that the crypto trading is not meant for those people. These are the people who panic sell and create and spread FUD in the market. I believe a portion of price drop is caused by such people and the other is caused by the wise people. The wise people sell at higher prices so that they can buy more at lower prices. Rest are the whales who manipulate the market.
The Crypto market is filled with different kinds of people.

You are right. Without patience, there will be no good result or outcome. The base of a company is their capital. If we sell them early, the capital will go down and along with the coin price will also reduce. So, every company needs our support to head up. We should wait for the best time to sell and not to leave the market early.

I wpuldn't be worried about it. We will see probably millions of new thread ''how stupid I was'' after market starts to recover. They can go back to their jobs in some factory for doing real job for pennies :D

Well, actually alot of unwated investors invested in Crypto when the boom arrived and that caused alot of unbalance in the market. Crypto are for serious players only, once the dumpers will be gone, then things will start moving upwards just like they should before all these dumpers moved in thinking of this as a overnight rich scheme.

A different research shows a larger increase in the number of people investing in cryptocoins in the year 2018.
Though current sideways move is making a lot to wait, it has increased investors more in number than the leavers.

 If we allow big whales to manipulate the cryptocurrency then it's a sad moment on all of us and even the worst scenario that will happen in crypto space but what can we do to stop this kind of manipulation, they are a superpower that can change the path on every coin, maybe a simple way to contribute on this is to keep our coin and not let eaten by whales.

Cryptocurrency world is the bed of roses with prick, this filed does not belongs to those people's which have negativity and exiting markets in loss. This bearish trend not happening for the first time. This will happen again and again, as we all know things which goes up will come eventually down vice-versa.

This is what separates the GAP between HODLER and TRADER. IF you are a trader and you know what's coming thru technical analysis, you probably sell your holdings and eyeing for a good bottom entry. That is smart move from trader. Well, probably the main advantage of becoming a HODLER is that you will not constantly updating the price fluctuation every now and then. That makes less time and effort.

The one who's been losing money constantly are those HODLER that turns into a TRADER out of the blue - making FOMO and panic selling.

people who panic are good food to spread more panic and constantly enter the game that they make, so no more calm in the face of it all, then the whales will be very easy to get more, repetition is continuous as it should be smart to go with the flow that they control and can make a profit, long-term investment will not make you think much about all price movements, because a good altcoin will be worth it if you want to keep waiting for the next few years

The market state right now is really hard for people to believe in cryptocurrency, our conditions are really negative. And so even some of the strong hand s can become weak hands and just quit.

Well it's anybody's personal choice to leave the crypto space especially if you can't handle the risk involved.

Yeah Im hoping here also that history last year will just repeat this year. Hoping this manipulative whales will be lestened too. But I think some investors are discourage also investing because of this free airdrop doing dumping in market.

Yes, there will always be and there are people who drain their altcoins on the bottoms at a loss and feed the market. Especially beginners. It is difficult to trade, not everyone succeeds.

The big dump of bitcoin is the main reason why holders are quiting and seeling their coins right now. As a member of this forum I'm searching sulotion to help them to encourage to stop panic selling their tokens and coins because dumping of bitcoin right now is normal compare for the past years.

Selling now that its bear market will pull down the price even more. The more people like them enters crypto the more it will pull down the market.

It is very true. Many tries to buy or sell alts without knowing how will it affect the market. Most of them are just beginners that just tried to buy a lot of alts and keeps on moving hoping that they will profit. And once the market goes red they sell all of their tokens and helped the market to dump more and more each time.

A real good bunch of panic seller are the ones that were "when lambo ?" "to the moon!". While, lucky them it was kinda true last december, a loss of a tiny percentage make them panic right away. what did they expect.

it seems like your mindset is wrong in this case, as not all retail investors are like that. yes we can not deny that whales have control over market prices. we have to do is always vigilant, convinced of the investment we have made. and most importantly not affected by the manipulation done.

It's quite unfortunate that people are losing interest in the cryptocurrency market and chosing to chash in and move away, to some point it's understandable coz the value is so low, but again it show how much most doesn't trust the cryptocurrency ability, the massive departure is just those who don't believe in the technology

I must continue to hold my altcoins because when i sell it now then i suffer a very big loss so i'm holding it and hoping that the crypto market can be recover sooner.

I always says that the main key to success in life is to be patient. If retail investors dont have that than I would suggest them not to invest in here because this place is not for them.

I do not think this is true picture of what is happening when the market is down. Let assume that the statement in this heading is somehow correct, the exit of some cryptocurrency trader or investors automatically create a robust entry for new investors at a cheaper and price.

If they quit crypto market then so be it. It proves that they are only here for money money money. Maybe they invest on the wrong coins maybe because they have lack of knowledge on the altcoin that they buy and they have entered without a plan. That proves that they are greedy. And because they get nothing but loss of course they will leave because their mindset is weak. It is better to know what you've enter before playing with its rules or norms.

I'm certainly noticing a lot less enthusiasm in the space currently, due to the continued bear market. As for me, i'm just going to be patient & hold. It's best to step looking at the market every 5 seconds, switch off & go do something else for a bit & come back when the bulls return.

It's just that people are already tired of waiting. Half a year, prices in the market are falling. This is a rather long period. People get tired and sell their coins. I believe in growth in the future, so do not sell.

I think these people leave the market for a short time. When the crypto market starts to grow again, all of them will come back and invest again.

I've never think newly investors knows about it, a simple strategy to keep from losing. Actually, I've never check my holding everyday hearing that market is still on bear season cause it only give me stress seeing how far my coins going down. Exactly they do the right thing, troll around and give room for some amusement to escape from the stressful market.

But any kind of fear, uncertainty, or doubt about a market can have huge repurcussions on your trading and the value of your portfolio.
If you make decisions on trading based on generalized observations based on emotions rather than data, you are more likely to make foolish trading choices.

Instead of fud, try researching data and interpreting market trends.
It will bring a lot more clariety, reduce stress, and most important, give you information to make smart trading choices.

Well ICOs seem not to be lucrative anymore for investors and it appears like after the project finish raising their money, they do not try to work for the benefits of investors and they keep losing money every day so their interests in altcoins is gradually dying out.So if icos do not find ways to make their projects attractive to investors, soon altcoins will be getting out of the system.

Well, I am not surprised that plenty of investors have left the cryptocurrency market because 2018 year is the strong bearish year where much part of investors lost money. We should not gloat over the misfortunes of others because those investors brought constant cash flow which caused of growing BTC and other coins.
Moreover, I think that most of you have alredy noticed that your income and expectations get reduced sufficiently. We need to attract new investors. 

Because they are scared. The market is now unstable. Altcoin is especially vulnerable. I know after myself because I change everything to BTC and ETH ...

The market eliminates the weak players. Now they sell their altcoins almost for free, trying to save something. And then again will buy when the price will higher mountains. So the hamster cycle continues.

I entirely agree with you. If people are trading, then I guess it's ok to sell now and then buy later at a better price, since the market is clearly falling right now. But most of those that are selling, and helping this bear trend to get stronger, are doing what you just said: "selling and leaving the market", and thus "making whaler richer".

It's sad to see people leaving crypto like this, but they've probably invested more than what they can afford to lose, and now are in a huge pressure to sell, to pay their bills at home etc.

Selling your altcoins at a lower price is suicide. You need to hold until a better price and don't feel FOMO.

Why not sell more expensive in a falling market and buy back cheaper by increasing the position in the most attractive altcoins instead of just keeping them?

If the people selling the crypto currencies doesn't means that they want to leave the market.They all are looking to buy the coins more cheaper than their selling price so we have to wait and see the market raising when people starts to invest

It is not only retail investors that behave that but most of the bounty hunters are the most people that sell or dump their stake without taken into consideration what the price will become in the future.

Those who act like this make a big mistake. Patience is very important in this market, otherwise they will make whales rich. On the other hand, some people have entered the market with a loan from bank or they sold their cars and houses to buy bitcoin therefore they need urgent money now and have no choice but to sell it. The investor who are now leaving and selling their crypto portfolio amidst the bearish market right now are inevstors that were git into the hype of cryptocurrency with the thought to getting quick money but in reality in this market you would need plenty of patience in order to bank up those profits and the people who gets discouraged easily are the ones who losses all of their capital.

Well it cant b help maybe they needed money right now. Leaving crypto is very hard decision knowing that cyptocurrency has more to offer. Also may they feel helpless since crypto is declining for almost 6 months. There are many factors. We should just respect their decision andnwish them goodluck.

selling at this bear market will only lead you of losing almost half of your investment. you will only end up of full of regrets for every decisions you made.

may be explained that they already benefit from the sale, so they wait for the price back down to make a purchase. or they switch to altcoin that has a good future. those who are smart will not leave this market they will still join because this market still has value.

if they are leaving their coin already and try to sell it and leave the market, its still fine to them to do that,  i hope that the coin will find another investor to invest that coin so that the price can recover and hope that the coin is in good hands,

maybe they are planning to buy new alts for an exchange for a new coin with a good profit in the future, since the market still going to recover soon.
during this dip, i did try to buy some good coin too since everything is in the bloody price but not to sell my holdings. i wont lose something i want to gain something :D

I laugh at all these amateur traders. They fomo'd in at the peak and now they're selling the bottom while the whales laugh on and make billions. I don't have the time or patience to try and trade so I'd rather do a ton of research and pick one or two coins max that I will buy and hodl for the long term. So far I'm pretty much all in on AMB since they're solid in so many areas, they have tons of Swiss government and UN connections, rumors of some of the biggest partnerships in all of crypto, and I can make a killing in passive income from hosting a master node which works out perfect for me since I'll be holding long term anyway.

However you can not blame them. Maybe some initially bought Altcoin with cold money, and gained three times in two weeks. Then they look for a loan to bet more, and what happens happens. Maybe they were forced to sell because of this situation. But nevertheless those who make this market become bigger.

If many crypto hodlers are selling and leaving, that means that whales doing their good right and when most on unwanted investors will leave we will see a huge pump, this is how it works...

A crypto market is created from many interests. Maybe not everyone has the same strategy, but I'm sure the goal is the same. Some people do not have good risk management, because they enter crypto when the market goes unstoppable. Maybe this is part of the game, maybe not. But I think fluctuations will always take a toll.

So? There will always be investors who will simply convert their crypto to FIAT and leave. This is nothing new. Different investors leave due to different reasons and this does not necessarily imply that the cryptocurrency market will stop growing all of a sudden. Just look at how far the market has come. Bitcoin has grown from a few cents to $6k mark and many altcoins like Ethereum have always grown in a big way over the years. Growth is important and I am fairly confident that the market will continue growing like this as time passes attracting more and more investors.

It is not good to sell the coins. It will make the whales richer and it will affect the market I guess. The best way is to keep patience instead of selling the coins. I believe that the market will recover within the end of this year and it will again bring the situation in control.

Unfortunately that's what happened. Maybe some people are not ready when entering this field. They want instant benefits without calculations that are mature enough. When the market crashes, chances are their financial situation is shaky, and maybe they feel finished with crypto.

HODLing coins consistently is also the same market forecast only upward. In terms of trade, it's silly not to sell bitcoin for $ 19,000 or an ethereum for 1,200 and not buy back, although at prices of at least $ 10,000 and $ 600.

Not an easy decision, but in reality the market is not in line with the will of many people. Of course big players have bigger chances, because they can affect the price. And maybe you are right, we just have to have the same mindset with them.

Selling altcoins also a nice decision of anyone who want to securely have earning profits. But,it is much better if when they sell their altcoins,they will buy a bitcoin for their alternative way of earning profits,and expect more with bitcoin investments nor trading activities.

Correct! Whales can easily control or manipulate the market, but ordinary investors can affect the price too. Just like what happened in the market today, if you notice, the altcoins dropped a huge percentage than btc, you know why? Because a lof people was dumping their alts. Theyre selling big time, from btc to fiat. Everyone is cashing out and are afraid that btc might die. You know cryptocurrency wont die easy.

yes you are currently very much altcoin holder selling assets owned and out of the exchange and in my opinion it is very harmful because he can not get the maximum profit and only get the loss just because it is too panic and finally sell at cheap price.

Can't really blame some guys, a lot will be 80% down or more since the start of the year, won't be selling at these prices myself though.

We can't judge them how they able to decide but I think they are temporarily quitting the market because of the bull trend but still they are capable to update on it to look what gonna happen . They may leave but in the time it has a good bounceback they are ready in involving again.

BTW, i'm an small ethereum holder, but as much as i would like the market to recover, i should warn people to consider that this market can crash at any given moment, and that you have to consider that this situation is horrible and very very dangerous right now (reason why the market is declining without bulls pulling back).

No one wants to make whales richer. It's just that every average investor has his own life needs for which he has to spend money every day, and if his expectations are not justified, if one has to wait much longer than he thought, then he has to sell his coins at a loss in order to continue buying his food and clothes and pay tuition to their children. While the coins go down below 4 times or even more times then the panic situation is gone random and everybody is selling their asset. Whales are manipulating market just to make panic sellers sell at all time low. People bring unnecessary emotions in crypto trading because of high volatility. Market lacks volume which makes it easy for whales to manipulate market supply and price trends. I have seen market defying technical analysis in many case because whales tend to move market irrespective of potential trends. This is quite a big problem for the market as for now, which can only be changes if market volume increases.

I don't think they are leaving the market. Most of them are going in BTC as can be seen from the BTC dominance going up in the last few weeks.
Also, alts became too many, probably 3000+, so a lot of them will fail, so quiting makes some sense from the biggest crap alts.

It is true, as  many newbies  entered the market during the last year`s hype and after it we are having bear market for 7 monts. Many of them has already  lost their interest and it is too much for their nerves and leaving the market.
Market manipulators are shaking their hands but the hard core will survive as only weak hands are leaving.

On the contrary, the increase in the turnover of cryptocurrency trading attracts a greater number of speculators and investors in specific altcoins.

Yes, I also noticed this tendency now. Recently, many are starting to sell their altcoins and leave the market. But I am absolutely convinced that such a strategy is now erroneous. The trader or investor who leaving this crypto market now is newbie and they does not understand about price action and trend of crypto market.  My personal opinion, we are already near with bull market so we should be keep patient waiting for that.  From technical analysis, I can predict bull market will start in a few month. People who leaving crypto now,  they will never rich. Actually now is best times to buy and hold until bull run coming.

I think also like that, many people sell their coins in situations like this is not the right time, and worse if they leave the entire market can cause losses, I think it's better to hold it for a while or at least a few months until the end of this year .

Oh yeah! They are impatient, so only strong holders will be rewarded by altcoin growth.

I agree with you. For me now, it's more of accumulation cos the price I. Itself has dropped but i am trying to accumulate as much as I can just doing my normal trading though this does not mean I have my buy order hit everyday, but it has been working out pretty well just still been able to pull them in gradually and knowing that once the market reverse, it's all good and those that are selling and cashing out where not really into this for the right reasons. If you've learned abit about crypto before investment, they could have understood that what is happening right now in the crypto market is inevitable.

Unfortunately, many people come to this market without basic knowledge about trade and overbought market, so many people buy alts very expensive, and then they have only two choices: either fix a loss or hold, but not everyone has the strength to wait

The cryptocurrency market, of course, is still fully restored and will flourish and is now very foolish to sell your coins and tokens, especially at such a low price. However, this market is still very new, it has significant features and many do not understand this. Therefore, their actions are so impulsive and not logical for this market. the panic they experience creates a blind of potential that exists in crypto. the result because it is a lot of that away even though it was detrimental to their correct amounts. While anyone can be saved so it is better than nothing at all. but the thought of it is certainly wrong. distrust happens naturally also because not doing deepening for crypto and this makes the bad results.

It's ironic that they'll come back here after the market recovers and will buy with the current price. They don't know how to utilize the bear trend. Though we can't blame them for leaving, maybe they've easily swayed by fuds or they just cut loss, whatever their reason they'll be the one who will take the consequences.

The market may not explode, but you should not throw it, at least because of cheap coins at the moment. I am not sure that in the future we will see such prices again, development is happening every day, and therefore the value of the entire market.

What do you mean by fools, each person makes the decision how to moisten and when to leave the market. Now is the time when you need to strengthen and buy a cryptocurrency.

Why calling people fools, that's too much from you. Those that invested their money into them are adults and they have the right to make any decisions that suit them whether it is profitable or not, you don't need to call anyone a fool

They are not fools and looking back they made the right decision in selling their coins. And some of them are now having to buy back the coins they dump 6 months ago are now at it's cheapest price.

You cannot blame them, not everyone understood what they were getting into when they started to invest in the coins. During the last bull there was a lot of hype and a lot of people bought a lot of scam coins that they shouldn't have and now they have to watch the value of their coins go down. People get scared and sell, they are human
