Title: Web of Trust based on multisig addresses? Post by: wolverine.ks on February 07, 2014, 06:56:24 AM Could you make a web of trust that would be easy to use and which benefits from bitcoin innovation and security, by using multisig addresses and transactions?
Two people meet, and make a multisig address. Each person sends 1 satoshi to the multisig address from their respective 'identity address' as a way to 'sign' the identity of the other person. In each deposit you include a message indicating the address is to be a WoT entry. A WoT app or a WoT feature in a bitcoin wallet could scan the blockchain at any time. A revocation could be incorporated if the multisig only required 1 sig. And the amount of trust could be indicated by the size of the deposit. Thoughts? |
