Title: New Here Post by: ionlaser on February 08, 2014, 01:12:52 AM Well Id say I'm still new to all of this, I started mining right at thanksgiving with 1 usb block erupter at 336mhps and Ive now moved up to 25 of them and 2 butterfly lab jalapenos one at 5.5ghps and the other at 6.7ghps.So im running at around 21ghps.
Now my question is which is better, the usb sticks or the jalapenos? Im looking to get another one,just don't know which way to go. Thanks! More hashrate is better, so 6.7Ghs beats 336Mhs easily. Bitcoin mining is all about giving back to the Bitcoin infrastructure rather than hashing at a pool. I also just got a red fury in mail today,went to added it the others, and it works but it has the most miscalculations ever over 50%! not sure if Ive done something wrong or not,but it was running at 2.5ghps. any thoughts? Just a friendly reminder, you are very likely mining at loss (after hardware cost and electricity cost) with your hardware now.
