Title: recognize the phishing hacking techniques and how to prevent them??
Post by: andryhari on June 27, 2018, 03:22:17 AM
● note the URL of the site you are visiting. for example binance.com, usually the hacker will disguise his fake site like binanće.com. You note the letters, similar but not the same. For the original, he uses the letter "c", while the false uses the letter "ć".
● as much as possible the sites you visit make sure to use the HTTPS protocol. In general, big sites like Binance, Okex, and Bittrex, must use HTTPS as the protocol.
● ignore emails or messages coming from senders you do not know, delete them immediately if necessary.
● do not download software through unclear sites.
● mark important sites that you visit frequently

Good suggestion but I think we have lots of discussion regarding this issue. I don't mind if you have an intention (I'm sure) of getting merit for this thread cause it is daily scenery of the forum.

After the OP's guide the person who access a website should bookmark the website and when trying to access a site it should be typed manually to avoid opening a wrong url address and carefully check the spelling. There is also a security near the address bar that shows secured or not secured connection.

Comprehensive guide here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4404175.0

You could use it to expand you OP more to include all types of phishing scams.

Your other posts are all low quality bounty posts. Most people that award merit will look at that.

I was recently approached on facebook by some fake stellar profile inviting for "special airdrops" asking to login in a fake stellarterm.

if you participate in bounties, have your attention redoubled, they get data from this forum and know which tokens you have.
