Title: List of bounty scammers (Avoid wasting time with them)
Post by: USBitcoinServices.Com on June 27, 2018, 05:13:46 PM
In this thread, I will publish some of the bounty programs that I supported but at the end, all of them ended up hiding, not answering or just no giving rewards!

TOKEN STARS NOW TEAM
(They didn't pay what I earned after helping/supporting them for many months, they only gave 50% in ETH of the value of TEAM (pennies after ICO) they have stolen from my dashboard was 628 TEAM Tokens, their excuse was that I submitted a USA id to pass the KYC, just to say later that they don't accept USA residents ID and acording to them that was my fault) Stay away of that TEAM, not a reputable and trusting TEAM

FINALLY. A thread that could warn users what bounties they should avoid joining and participating in. I've tried to join dozens of bounty campaigns and most of them are scams and failures. Thank you sir for making this one. Hope you would make this an active thread.

How is it going to help? ???

Don't most of these projects only pay at the end of the campaign? If the campaign is already over before participants realise that it is a scam... How is it going to prevent people joining? ???

Honestly, 99% of all these token/coin projects are just "me too!" money grabs trying to dupe suckers into "investing". They promise to pay campaign participants with (worthless) tokens, knowing that they're getting free advertising while these participants spam away on BitcoinTalk and Telegram and Facebook and Twitter to try and generate hype for their ShitCoin/ShitToken.

Then the devs run off with the collected ETH/BTC and all the campaign participants whine that they "worked so hard" for nothing (yeah, clicking retweet is real hard work ::))

Maybe if people stopped doing this "working for stakes"... And demanded weekly payments in ETH or BTC, a lot of these scams wouldn't even get off the ground and the entire crypto space would be better off.

Just something to think about.

Yes, in fact this can be a list of "Projects who scammed users". This is a consulting list for scams after the ICO, the % of bounties thats pays during the ICO is near something near 0%

But also someone needs to make another thread about what bounty managers to avoid working with because there are plenty of idiots out there doing management work with zero idea of how to handle that, no communication, bad behavior, etc!! the list is very big!!

With bounty companies there is one problem: from the moment of the end of the bounty to the moment of receiving the reward often takes a very long time, so it is not always clear whether the company is a fraud or not. But it's definitely worth keeping track of which managers led the company - and what came of it.

You can use Google Drive spreadsheet and make a list there, in case you don't know how to create one, let me know I can create one, so you can make the list.

okay, please create one.
However, how to make so that others could also enter distinguished managers? The list of peterparker9191 alone is unlikely to protect anyone.
And it is necessary to provide a graph in the table with links to the topics from Scam Accusations - otherwise we will deal with gossip.

Are you claiming that Lauda is some sort of scammer and didn't pay you for your Vivid Token Bounty work? I suspect it is highly likely that the reason you didn't get paid was because you failed to read the rules properly:

I saw this condition, but by the time this condition arose, I had been doing the work for this company on the previous link (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3048141.0) for several weeks. And there was supposed to be some continuity between these threads ("--- This thread is now CLOSED. The bounty will continue HERE") . I think it's unfair that I did not get any tokens for the work at all - although I did the work. On the previous link, the youth of my account was not an obstacle to work.

And no, i didn`t claiming that Lauda is some sort of scammer - only that this company with led by Lauda and Pelsjager didn`t pay me for my previous and continued work.

Can someone create a google form for us to submit bounty scammers? It is easier to track and refer.

just like what HCP said, how should it help? when the damage's already been done? it's not like you could turn back time and not join the campaign. You already joined and you were tricked. Deal with it. Just be vigilant next time on joining campaigns.

Perhaps the bounty of the REDBUX project is a scam. Dev have cut bounty allocation very unfairly even some of the campaign participants have not been rewarded/not paid.

I think it will be very valuable to track who led the "failed" projects - the bounty managers. To create statistics.
On the one hand, bounty managers, who value reputation, will carefully choose projects that they are going to led and will behave more honestly with the hunters. On the other hand, we, hunters, will be able not to step with the whole community on the same rake - not to face the lawlessness and rudeness of the same managers.

I highly doubt Lauda would be willing to risk the reputation she has for some bucks.

perhaps you're right, and still

Yes, dear HCP, press the retweet is not difficult, but this is not the only thing that is required. I have at least 3 hours a day spending to the bounty campaigns. (and more-to demand my reward) I spend the time of my life - and I want and should to get paid for my work.  )

Every Bounty manager can fall into accepting a campaign before knowing it is a scam. I think what they need to do is to up their game of due-diligence on the developers before starting the campaign. It is a necessary step so that their name will not be dragged to disrepute. Lauda co-managed this campaign. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2483684.0. I am not sure it is conclusive.

I like the post and it seems very useful.
I'm not looking for bountys scams that have already happened, but bounty managers who do not care about what projects work, sometimes they can make mistakes, but when errors are recurring then it is better to know which BM to avoid.

I hope someone would compile all of them and warn people about the bounty and ICO right from the start that there are a huge signs that it is a scam. Telling it at the end is good but we nee to minimize the losses from the others or if possible, prevent it from operating from the start.

Several managers have been painted red trust recently. I'm worried because I chose their bounty company because I saw them as good organizers. But if you think about it, none of these companies have paid me yet, although many have been completed long ago.

I'm not saying these companies are scams. Just that they still haven't paid me for the job, even though the bounties are over a month and more ago. At the same time, I am sure that I fulfilled their conditions.

Impressio: got my infos on scam accusations (too lazy to retrieve the post you could check it out yourself)

Slate: telegram channel. I joined the bounty and was asked to make an account on their site and the rewards would be rewarded on my dashboard. Upon knowing that it isn't an ERC20 token i didn't bother to make cause i don't know how those tokens work and how would it be beneficial to me.

Vivalid: telegram channel said that distributions was after ico, checked the thread and it's stated there that the ico is until oct 14.

Lpesa : telegram channel also. But for the rewards to be given you need to have a certain amount loaded to your lpesa wallet. If you don't want to cash in, they have a separate channel for loans. Didn't bother to loan since it would took to much time for a few bucks.

Kepler: also telegram channel. I'm counting on this since the previous 4 was a waste of time and effort.

Wow! Thank you very much for the clarification. It seems that the telegram channels more informative than the bounty threads. I definitely need to think of something to bypass the telegram lock on my computer. (Not that telegram did not work at all, but due to the native Roskomnadzor it works slowly, painfully and intermittently)

Are you sure with this accusation? Do you have any proof for this? You know it's Lauda, you're throwing a big accusation for this. I don't think it's fair to tag the one who's running the bounty campaign for inaccurate distribution of tokens since it's being handled by the company alone. UNLESS after being proven that the project didn't give the allocation that was promised when the project launched and the manager still supporting it, then he can be considered as accomplish.

Are you sure with your accusation? because any phrase can be turned into anything by pulling out of context. And as i was saing earlier " i didn`t claiming that Lauda is some sort of scammer - only that this company with led by Lauda and Pelsjager didn`t pay me for my previous and continued work".

I started to keep statistics on the managers leading the bounty. I do this NOT in order to condemn scams each Manager, whose company has not paid. Anyone can make a mistake. But it's important for me to see the trend: if yahoo mostly pays a little bit but honestly, I'll most likely aim to get into his bounty. If the team tokensuit not yet paid me for any company, in which I participated, I likely would not work for them in future. That is all.
And I'm perfectly capable of keeping my observations to myself. Although in this topic such information seems to be appropriate.

You seem to be confusing campaign managers with the token/coin issuers. Campaign managers are generally given set terms to operate with, like number of weeks, number of participants, total number of tokens/coins (ie. budget) etc. These terms are generally set by the ICO/service.

If the campaign manager provides all the appropriate data (post counts/stakes etc) to an ICO/service, and that service then fails to distribute the tokens/coins, that isn't the campaign manager's fault.

I've noticed at least one campaign who has now gone to great lengths to explicitly state as much:
Quote
The bounty manager(s) is a facilitator and not the bounty-issuer. They will not be held liable in the event of a breach of contract by the bounty-issuer or failure to fulfill their obligation. Facilitation is NOT an automatic endorsement of product or service being offered, unless explicitly stated. We reserve the right to change the campaign at any moment, and reject people based on our judgement.

HCP, i understand that the Managers is only an intermediaries and does not distribute tokens. But they have more information about the projects from the start. And some intermediaries say "if you are not paid, it is not my fault" - and they have a lot of Scam projects. On the other side some middlemen more scrupulous in choosing their companies, and they have fewer scam-projects, and they trying to act honestly. I prefer the second, so I try to find them.
