Title: How Can I transfer BTC from Bitcoin core to Any Mobile Wallet?
Post by: fmboyzz on June 29, 2018, 10:31:36 PM
I'm using Bitcoin core where I have a small amount BTC. The synchronization seems taking months and months. Now I want to transfer my funds into another wallet. What option do I have?

Windows 7, 32bit (SP1)
Electrum don't run on it (Tried to install KB2999226)
This is the error I got.

Using electrum on Android, tried to import a private key, but it's not importing the funds.
What can I do now? Any Android or Web wallet?
Thank you for your time in helping me.

You can import your private to ELECTRUM, is the fastest way and more secure.

You aswell use blockchain.info, they have option to import private key too.

I think your electrm problem come from the fact that you are not connected to any server, remove automatic mode and connect manually to a random server.

It would probably be the best if you could get Electrum to work on your Android, but there are other wallets as well.
I really wouldn't recommend web wallets though.

PS: You should really upgrade your OS. Other than the fact that it is Windows, it is also 32bit which means you can't run any 64 bit software.

At a pinch, you could install Mycelium wallet on Android... it allows you to import Bitcoin Private Keys.

NOTE: Personally, I don't recommend this.. it's potentially exposing your private key and could lead to loss of coins if you're not careful!

Use the "Add Account" -> "Advanced":

You probably won't have a QR Code to scan (unless you use a QR Code generator to convert your private key to a QR Code)... so you'll need some way to get the private key onto your phones clipboard (ie. copy/paste the key on your phone) so you can import the key from the clipboard...

Another (more complicated, but safer) option might be to create a Linux Virtual Machine using the freeware Oracle Virtual Box... install Ubuntu and run the latest version of Electrum using the Linux virtual machine. Once you have the coins imported, you can send them to whatever wallet you like.

I've used this, and it works fine. I have several accounts in Mycelium, although most are watch-only.
As an alternative, instead of creating a new account, you can just click SCAN from the main screen, scan your private key's QR-code, and sweep the funds to your existing Mycelium account.

Warning: don't expose your private key to online QR-generators!
