I heard the price will be dropping to below 100$ by end of February because of the huge MtGox scam. So is it better to sell the bitcoins and take the money to another alt coin? Or is it better to hold on to the bitcoins?

They have some technical issues (mainly due to their own way of processing transactions, instead of sticking to the default) but nothing critical. 2. They claim there is a vulnerability in Bitcoin, but it's just a mistake on their eind. They verify transactions by awaiting confirmation for a specific tx ID, rather than just waiting for a confirmation of the address receiving the coins (no matter through what tx). A lot of people (investors) have been waiting for the price to drop, so it's a good time to start buying again.
With positive news about new merchants accepting bitcoin, the price is sure to rise with new investors coming into the game with every positive article published all around the web and media.
