Title: https://bountyhunters.io Scam or legit?
Post by: escalante28 on July 02, 2018, 11:19:43 AM
This site is a bountyhunter platform, like bountyhive and Oxbounty.

Hi guys, I just sign up on this site about 30 mins ago(https://bountyhunters.io). So I set up my profile like my Eth add, social media but when the time I connect my telegram the site was asking for my phone number I'm using on the telegram instead of bot like other bounty platform do and I start wondering why but I still  put my # after that it was asking for the pass code they sent. This is clearly show that they want to steal my account? If i'm going to provide the passcode I'm sure they will have the access on my telegram.
I need your opinion about this site.

Forum should ban all the bounties and hunters all together, they are nothing but trouble, they all are participating in scamming people through ICOs and nobody cares. do not under any circumstances give your passwords to anybody.

Should ban all the bounties and hunters? Are you out of your mind? You must be the one should be ban here because you got lot of negative trust. I was asking here about the site and I deserve an answer for that not what you felt  or opinion. You are out of the topic and that is a violation of furom rules.

I won't trust any other platform that offers bounty programs like bountyhunters , bountyhive , etc. The only legit way to participate into bounties is here on bitcointalk on this following threads :

1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 ( most of the bounties are being paid in bitcoin with escrow )

2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0 ( altcoins bounties - make sure you choose one after you make your own research as some of them will pay you worthless coins )

3. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412712 ( The most respected bounty managers of bitcointalk )

If you think you can find bounties more attractive than here its your choice but after don't come here to cry because you haven't been paid on those platforms.

There is no grantee that you will be paid in all the altcoin bounties here in bitcointalk too. Few times you will work for few months on the bounty and they will not send you the earned coins or make excuses of not reaching the required cap, cancelling of the ico or implementing additional requirements to get the funds like KYC etc.

The only advantage here on the forum is that you can tell your problems in public and this will either help to resolve your issues or the bounty can be declared as a scam one. Also the bounty managers can be held accountable and can be given neg rating etc. This type of freedom of speech is not available if you are doing a bounty through bounty sites.

However, this by no way means that those all bounty sites are of no use. If you are working on social bounties like facebook, twitter, you do not need to post your reports and links on the forum. All of your social media posts , clicks and sharing are automatically recorded. This saves a lot of time both for the bounty hunter and the manager.

Lol. Hey stop fighting guys.😂😂
Im a member there and all I can say is nothing's special with their platform. Good user interface but few BOUNTY projects, maybe because it's new. Nothing compares to bitcointalk. There's a lot of opportunity here.
Some bounty platforms has prefunded bounty projects which is good. But it does not guarantee that isn't a scam. Some bogus projects distributing worthless tokens to participants. So always be careful joining them.

It's legit to me I have received all the coins I've worked using their platform, although they have a scam accusations because of the private key issue they have already address this issue, and this really harm the site's reputation, right now there are no more task to complete because the bounty campaign is getting lesser and lesser, I guess it's only a matter of time before they go out of business.

I dont care if this bounty platform is legit or not because i dont ever consider these places to be worthy to join on when it comes to bounties.

Its much better to join up on your own to those projects manually and receive tokens fully basing on allocation rather than joining on automation
which do deducted out big percentage of your pay. They dont offer something new but only automation and it isnt worth for such deduction.

It's only a matter of time before this project close shop I log in here 2 times a week for two months and there's no task still in the dashboard, because they could not get a bounty campaign anymore because of the competition there are a lot of sites similar to them, and there's hardly new bounty campaign now, bounty platform and ICO rating are having a bad business today.

It's nothing scammy, no one can access your telegram account without having actual access to your phone number (like being able to see what texts and calls it's currently getting). Them knowing your phone number isn't anything scary, it's probably just a precaution so that they can verify that you are a real person using their platform.

Anyway, there isn't really a point in signing up there, they barely have any bounties (0 on the site right now) and it seems like bounties on a whole has died down and they aren't getting clients due to it.

They are legit I have received some of my coins I've worked there in the past, my only hope is that they do not close shop and hang on I have a huge coin as my rewards and they are going to work on the project for the distribution it seems the project is good and going to launch their own IEO in Binance, they can close shop after I received my coins from that project.

Seems like a cloned site. Never really heard of it before.
Can you share where you learned about it and if we can check the source of that ad or whatever? What if you are shadow promoting them?

Nah. I'm pretty sure they are legit, they did some advertising around the crypto-space for their bounties but have died down since bounties are no longer popular.

They did some decent work, brought spam away from the forum but where nothing special and didn't scam anyone.

Can I get a link to their IEO? They must have raised a lot of funds in order to afford an IEP on Binance, either that or they are pretty well connected. Could be interesting to see what they are going to do with the funds and how they expand now that their industry is dead.

I know bountyhive and bountyox are legit but never heard of this particular site, it won't hurt to try it out I suppose all that is required is just to register with the site and try it out, between the site look pretty decent to me, although you have to be mindful of the project listed there if they are legit or not in other not to waste your time promoting fake project, I can also see some project from btt on there, the site is not bad in my opinion.

Although it’s looking cloned website whatever i think it’s dosen't matter because it’s a legitimate bounty platform. Because also i participated a few campaign and received payments will not face any kind of problems. But their official bitcointalk id got red trust for the asking private key related issues. I participated long times ago so that i don't know bountyhunters.io is still a scam or legit platform.

You can register but there is no more task available I have log in here from time to time for 2 months but until now there are no task to do, it's understandable the competition is very stiff, and there are no good ICO right now and they are becoming fewer and fewer, I think bounty campaigns are going to end soon.

Yeah if we don't start seeing new project in the market that are willing to host a bounty campaign,  then yes there is a possibility bounty campaigns will gradually die off,  but I think not many projects list there bounty there which will explain the lack of task to perform, here in btt there are still some campaigns around especially the alts, only problem is if they are genuine.

I left bountyhunters.io (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2199474) negative feedback 11 months ago:
Quote
Asks users for their "Private Key or Mnemonics" to claim bounty tokens. NEVER GIVE YOUR PRIVATE KEY TO ANYONE!
Two months later, they were last online on Bitcointalk.

Other than that, this topic isn't even worth bumping!

never ever give your passcode, private keys, and password to anyone. no matter what benefit they offer you. this is very suspicious. they could simply ask for a telegram username. there is no need to give the mobile number and then passcode. I joined this 2 years ago. At that time it was not like that. I know the person behind this project is also a team member of Chronobank project.

Bountyhunters is not a direct scam platform but they supported scam bounties which is a shady thing. In the golden times of crypto, this platform had some great bounties like Playkey, Vexanium. But over the time they kept lidying scam projects on their site, rven once i provuded proof about a scam project and suggested them to delist, but they did not hear me, lol. So, this platform brcome worst and dead now!
