Title: janssenk073 not willing to accept escrow
Post by: SpeculativeHunter on July 02, 2018, 03:04:14 PM
I'm not making an accusation, just giving folks a heads up.  He's new, posting in a locked thread, and per his email he's not willing to accept payment through escrow.  I'll be cautious, and I recommend you do the same.

He's new, posting in a locked thread,
A locked thread (on those sections) is already a good enough sign to not trust the seller.

per his email he's not willing to accept payment through escrow.  I'll be cautious, and I recommend you do the same.
Can you provide a proof for that? Not everyone visits/reads this board and as result, most (newcomers) will miss the warning but if there's enough evidence, DT1/2 members can tag him/her accordingly.

Here's a copy of the email, I can forward it to an Admin for "proof."

Hi, I saw your ad on bitcointalk.org,

I'm interested in the miner you are selling, but I have a couple of questions:

Is it a Bitmain S9?  Are you negotiable on the price? Will you accept escrow?

Thank you.

Hi, of course it is a Bitmain S9. Price is already good. 0.06 BTC with PSU and shipping included.
No escrow, only direct buy. I also had to pay Bitmain upfront when bought the miners

As stated on forum rule, they (admins/moderators) won't check it:

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

Simply posting the quotes or even uploading a picture, can be counted as invalid (since those can be manipulated).

Two ways (that I'm aware of) that you can provide proof without manipulating/changing the evidence:

1. Take a video and post it online.
2. Go on the email you received on gmail > Upper right corner, click the drop down button > Print > Change its destination to "Save to Google Drive" > Save > Go to your google drive and right click on that file > Get shareable link and post it here.
- Take note: By doing this, the name you have on your gmail account will be shown as well (if you're not comfortable with sharing it, then take a video instead).
