RPICoin is a full PoS (Proof of Stake) coin and can't be mined in the usual way, you only need to leave the RPI wallet running instead of requiring expensive and energy consuming hardware.
So this switch from PoW to PoS provide the following benefits:

• Energy savings;
• A safer network as 51% attacks become more expensive;
• Affordable for Users– In addition to less energy consumption, the Proof of Stake system allows more users to take part in the forging process. Where for (PoW) expensive mining- rigs / hardware is needed.

The staking reward is fixed at 300RPI each stake.
Depending on how much coins you have in your wallet (your weight vs network weight) you will receive stakes more- or less frequently.
When running the wallet 24/7 (unlocked state) the Staking rewards will earn you 45% of your total amount of coins held in your wallet over the period of a year.

Staking is a kind of a lottery as some days you will receive more stakes than usual, some days less. The more coins you have, the more you will get.
There's no predicting exactly how many stakes you will get. However, if you stake with more coins, you get more blocks and you more likely to find a reward. Someone staking 24 hours a day, 365 days a year would get more than someone staking the same amount of coins an hour a day.

Today I received my first stake reward!
It was so easy: I transferred my RPICoins to the wallet and kept it open while working on PC.
Besides that, great and fun community on Telegram, especially at lottery time. :D
I'm addicted to this coin! ;D

   Not quite sure that only POS mining will be a good solution for the coin. And although I love this mining method, in practice it shows a very fast saturation of traders with the coin and the loss of interest in it due to the fall in demand. But in any rule exceptions are possible, at least be sure to watch your development.

I have only seen great gains so far. This is the kind of coin you should invest in if you are looking for passive income. This is also the time to get in this coin because it is still at the bottom.

Not everyone knows it yet but mining is an expensive thing to do.
Just look into how mining costs and energy consumption are for PoW coins like bitcoin.

I'm really enjoying this coin so far.  It's cheap and easy to get started right now.
The price is currently hovering around 6 sats which makes it the perfect buy with plenty of room to grow!
It could easily double or triple and still be a cheap buy.

Being based off of Blackcoin's POS 3.0 is a good thing, it'll keep the network going strong for quite some time.

I have 2000 coins and a month, not a single award has come!

When I tested a batch of 10000 RPI and it took 8 days to get the 300 RPI reward.

I've got a much larger stash of RPI now, and it stakes about 35-42 times a day.

Just remember to keep your wallet online or you won't receive any rewards!

Although the current difficulty is quite high but overall still profitable for me.

By the way do i need to update to the latest version of the wallet? Is there any benefit or major fixes?

We always advise to upgrade to the newest release, in the current release the staking- combine threshold has increased which results in less splits which makes combining inputs (coin-control) a bit easier to manage.

Between 1-2 million, and got a buy order on the exchange also, we will see. Wallet stakes decent and the inflation isn't too bad at 40%, so just needs further adoption. Haven't gotten a chance to use the android wallet, because I have an Iphone, but we will see. I think team should do a BCT bounty program.

I agree very well, because POS is a new system that is very complex and there have been a lot of successful big projects that have implemented it.

In order to succeed in this business it is necessary that a large number of people invest and make a profit. Otherwise, all the received tokens will immediately be sold on the market, thus action drop the price.

Hi all, I want to staking on android, how can i backup my wallet? I can not find wallet.dat file and there is not any option to export or backup in app :/
