I'm straight, but I'll try to help anyway. The short answer is that activity is your post count, up to a limit of 14 posts per fortnight. If you make more than 14 posts in a 14-day period, additional posts within that period do no count towards your activity. Note that these 14-day periods are not relative to the date you registered, so if you registered partway through a period there will be a discrepancy in your first period (potentially allowing up to 28 activity in your first fortnight).
