Look on the services way for a good way to earn BTC.  Faucets are definitely not the way to go.  I've earned quite a bit being a referrer for PrimeDice.  Definitely helped me earn a decent chunk for free!

I think the most profitable way to earn in case you don't want to spend your own real money on buying bitcoins or mining is selling your forum signature. Look for an offer that suits you in the marketplace-services forum section.
The better paying ones might have some requirements for minimum posts, activity etc, but there's always some good offers.

Another site I'd recommend is coinad.com, simply make an account and click a few ads once per day, pays quite well, and payout threshold is fairly low.

I recently got started in the BTC game myself, and as "level 2 noob" (self proclaimed) I can definitely say mining is easily non-profitable right now and faucets can be a waste of time. 

If you have the mindset that you want a very minimal amount of BTC, and hold that amount over a very long time, and have the time & patience to type in series of captcha's....then by all means do some faucets.  Coinbox is a popular site that holds your faucet proceeds and pays out at .000055, just doing simple math you make $14.05/Year if you get that .000055 each day.  Most faucets pay .00000020-.00000060 per 30-60 minute cycle.

I've had success doing two things to get me started.  The first is buying BTC through Coinbase and transferring it to BTC-E and then buying/selling either BTC or LTC when the prices drop/rise.  You can always just buy and hold onto it too if you think the price will rise soon (I do).  The other success I've had is by mining Primecoin and transferring that to BTC-E and buying small amounts of BTC/LTC.  Primecoin can be mined on your CPU and it's startup took me like an hour of reading up on it and 5 minutes of installing the software.  Any questions feel free to PM me or post anywhere on this forum.....I started by posting question after question after question, and this community was super helpful.

Fiverr is already full with people selling every single thing they can sell that too in 5$..!

Tested the website, wouldn't recommend it to -anybody- unless they were able to get tons of referrals.
Even tho it's a passive income the daily amount that's added with a standard account is so little that you'll most likely have forgotten about it and be dead of old age before you're able to withdraw it.

It is true that you don't need to enter captcha or login on that site, but you can still only earn dusts unless you got a lot of referrals.

You will make the minimum amount you can withdraw in about 2-3 years on that site.  The minimum amount is like $0.03 (all coins added) right now and will continue to decrease in value month after month.

Not really. Can have a semi-usefull pc with not so great video-card standing at home and use that. Start from scrap and fight for crumbs. It'll give you:
1) a little bit of bitcoins that you could use to eventually buy a better gpu (2nd hand market is good place to look if you poor)
2) (even more valuble) it'll give you experience needed for when you do actually have some btc or a proper miner.

And while your computer is working you can troll the marketplace for more crumbs and bield your way up...

2 hours of a full run and you can get 1 payout from coinbox, so say you average 8 hours a day (4x0.000055=0.00022btc a day 0.00022x30=0.0066btc a month 0.0066x12=0.0792btc a year which is using 800 $usd for bitcoin 0.0792x800=63.36 $ a year.just for some captchas every hour and just on the coinbox faucets. there are many faucets out there that pay considerably higher then that per hour. then you any of the exchanges that can wield you massive profits if you do it right.

remember faucets were only created and ment to be for getting new coiners their first coins and get them used to using the coins, was not ment to be a full source of income for folks hence "faucet" name meaning drips.

Maybe it's an idea to make a blog/website where you promote your favourite programs? It can help you getting some referrals, which may increase your earnings a bit.

Well I use there Mining pool as well, and I must say, whit all the blocks they find, I am happy to pay a bit more fee.

yup, I too agree selling your own skills is the best option.

The problem here is the maintenance fee on cex is not "a bit more".
If you check cex.io/maintenance (http://cex.io/maintenance), you will see the fee is $0.26 per GHS per month, which is about 30% of your mining revenue. :)

Mining
Trading
Gambling
Personally i don't prefer Gambling.

Skip everything that most people have said, and just buy it with the money you have with fiat.

Focus on your job and use that as a small percent to invest and hold.

Worst investment you can make, hard to break even, no guarantees, difficulty increasing etc. Unless you get them for free they're not worthwhile.

Literally speaking, you will not be "earning bitcoin" then. But that is definitely one of the best way to earn fiat money. :)

I would advise, from what I know, for you to first set up either coinbase or bitfinex account. Bit stamp too, but I hear the mt.gox style downfall may be on the horizon, so decide for yourself.

Nobody can say for sure. We just know it's a violate nature deciding the value. It might double, it might fall a few hundred, and it might rise again to 10x it's latest value. Speculation, you know.

If you believe in Bitcoin, it is reasonable to buy/get some and wait to make a profit ;)

i notice for btc they use more than 8 on the decimal place lol... so basically in like a yr you would be lucky to make 0.00000001 bitcoins, just enough to actually have a number show up in your client. kind of deceit full they make your balance like 0.0000000000xx bitcoins.. client doesnt even support that!

It's probably legitimate, but I think I calculated that without referrals you'd need to wait 5-10 years to reach the withdrawal limit.

Ten billions dollars for a bitcoin is way too much, maybe it will reach 10.000 / 50.000 or an amazing 100.000 but higher than that is science fiction.

In relation to OP's post,

I invest my coins thouroughly, buying things such as cex.io shares, or investing and holding cryptocurrencies in certain exchanges. All of my investments have a profit, each. It's not that one investment gets 120% value and gives ~10% to the other investments, it's more like 135%, 107%, etc.

Congratulations for earning ! but you also need to share in how many days you earn 120% of profit on your investment.

They probably get their earnings from people visiting each day trying to withdraw their money, haha.

I don't find faucets and giveaways an effective way to earn bitcoin. The best ways are to offer goods and services in exchange for bitcoin. Have anything you would normally flip on eBay or the like? Sell it here in the marketplace for some coin! :)

1) Sell your service (If you're a developer, you'll be able to sell a software !)
2) Buy Bitcoin and then make trading with it !
3) Agree a Signature Campaign and then earn !

Frankly, I agree with the faucets. But, if you're a programmer/developer who knows cryptocurrencies pretty well, you can actually make some pretty good money by trolling the Service subforum for jobs. Otherwise, just take stock of your skills and tell everybody that you take Bitcoin as payment when negotiating your pay for freelance work.

Signature advertising campaign's one of the easiest/quickest ways to start earning a few coins.  Or list whatever IT skills you want to market over under the [Marketplace] [Services] thread.

Any newbies are welcome to come over to BetMoose (https://www.betmoose.com) and put up bets that they can share with others. We actually have considerable return rates (0.5-1%, depending on your reputation and level) from all bet payouts, which means even if you get 2 people to enter into a bet event with each other, both betting the minimum amount, that's 0.01 of volume = 0.00005000 of commissions for you minimum. If you get 10 people betting 0.05 each, that's 0.50 in volume = 0.0025 in commissions.. not too shabby! And that's if you're level 0, as you level up, that increases.

We're still new so hopefully we can only grow over time!

if you're trying to earn without an investment you're going to have a hard time

you can check out the services section and find some work to do for bitcoins but always do escrow so you don't get scammed ;)

Well I don't know what you expected from something that is free... Become member and go to the Services, you can earn some decent money if you are into it.

1. faucets are shit, most people make more BTC from one post than they do from days of working on faucets.

2. Go to the service section lots of people offer BTC for simple tasks.

3.Find something people want, some people paint and sell BTC related pictures. Others make sites that people read and sell the ad space on here for BTC. Alot of ways to make some BTC.

You are right, try buying btc now as they are low and hold them, or sell them when the price is high.

or invest in a project that is bitcoin-oriented, and it's better you have your own idea, which you can work on it.
