Title: [ASK] 100 Merit On Some Member
Post by: evelyne.theresia1 on July 09, 2018, 04:05:18 PM
Good night everyone.
I'm just curious why some member got 100 Merit instan? Are it's random given by the admin or when the post reach about 250-300 Post/Activity?
Bcos when I click the user profile, I don't see where they receive that merit :/

As example i will post some member profile (sorry for tagging)

These merits were given when the merit system was first implemented. Users with member rank and above received merits based on their rank.

10 merits is nothing. You can easily earn that by simply posting and replying helpful information. Honestly, your content doesn't even need to be great. It just needs to be helpful enough. Also knowing that most members with higher ranks tend to be more generous to lower-ranks that are helpful.

For what "no reason" was banned? In theory you cannot create an Alt to avoid a ban, thus your current user may be banned at any time.

I was thinking exactly the same. All those who create accounts to complain that their account was banned are actually breaking the rules as the ban evasion is not allowed.

Whoever has any sMerit available. And no, you can't have any just by begging. Start by doing real HQ posts or you will never get any, and consequently, never rank up to join your juicy bounties.

Its because you needed to be active before implementing merit system. Then it was easier to get big merit amount.
Now its a little harder but still if you are member that gives something back to the community you will have merit without thinking about it even.

My previous account was banned and i'm already send several email but no reply. So i create a new and leave the previous account then focusing on this one :)

I'll add this guide if how to get the merit and don't beg for a merit because they will give you a negative trust for begging merit.
Making helpful post and informative will give you chance of receiving free merit.

Anyway, here is the guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3182178.0

About the system of merit and rules, everything is described above, so i will not comment on it. I see that you too are Jr.Member with a high number of posts - just like me, nothing but writing quality posts does not remain to us and hoping for a reward in the form of merits from other people. Sometimes quality is more valuable than quantity.

No reason, proabably you mean plagiarism? If you got permanent ban, you aren't allowed to make new account, you banned as a person. Forum admins very rarely react to ban appeals, but it doesn't neans that you can use new account because they didn't replied.

Sorry for off-topic, but I just wanted to say that now you're breaking forum rules by evading ban.
Anyway, your question was already answered, you can lock topic :)
