There are so many Bitcoin address, wallet and merchant providers out there so how did Coinbase manage to get hundred of millions of dollars in funding?

So why is Coinbase considered such a viable investment for investors rather than other similar products?

Investors use coinbase because its easy to set up, easy to use, popular and for a newbie there is really no competition on where to start buying bitcoin.

It's probably because Coinbase has proven to us that they're one of the best places(if not the best) to buy and sell bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies, so far at least; and that's probably and most likely the cause why Coinbase attracted a lot of investors. I think they're doing a damn great job if you ask me. Though I'm not 100% sure as Coinbase currently doesn't support the country I'm in, unfortunately.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Investors choose coinbase because this the reliable and best app also coinbase did contract with many merchants, for newbie investors who wanna buy bitcoin than coinbase give them facility to by from their credit or debit card as like they shop from E commerce sites but this facility is not available for all countries also coinbase offer referral system so people will be attract they can make money.

First thing the coinbade have good security system and safety activities, secure wallets and giving good customer support with more than 20 currency's acceptable for deposit and withdrawals with quick.

What about exchanges? Plenty of people buy from exchanges so what was it drawing people towards Coinbase?

I hope that investments will help Coinbase expand the list of countries where Bitcoin can be purchased and thereby promote the spread of BTC.  ::)

In my coinbase was popular in initial days for its free transfers. Coinbase literally used to give us transaction free of cost and thus no miner fees and exchanges fees at all. For this reason lot of people started using it and thus its data base already grew huge in number. Later on they launched their referral program where people can get upto $100 for every people who joins the coinable under your link and thus made it great deal for everyone. This way people tried to bring lot of users and user base risen even more than that.

Even in August 2017 Coinbase got $100 million in investment from bluechip companies. Why is Coinbase attracting so many big companies to investment?

Because Coinbase single handedly provided a solution to the money transmission issue that at the time was plaguing "LocalBitcoins" users, simply by the taking the proper legal procedures and carefully following the regulations at the time.
    They created a legally compliant Bitcoin exchange that brought the availability of Bitcoin to the common public. The average Joe (with a little know-how) could easily create a Coinbase account and purchase Bitcoin, giving him access to the other coins within the market. Any open minded venture capitalist would have jumped at the chance to be apart of history, had they understood what opening Coinbase would mean!

Coinbase has a high level of trust and popularity in the United States. Also it seems to me that investors consider Coinbase to be a more legal place for trading than Binance.

it is true that Coinbase is good and proven to be a legit place and all that others said already but in case you haven't noticed shitty ICOs that don't even have a business or a company are raising millions of dollars out of thin air. there are literary kids sitting at home and calling their room a "company" and raising millions and they have no product or service. in comparison Coinbase is a legit real business/company which is actually doing something real and useful. raising $100 mil is nothing.

I believe that Coinbase is the most popular a d the most recommended  exchange in buying btc and altcoins.
Another of consideration as to why they had preferred to patronize Coinbase because  it is a legitimate exchange site worldwide.

They're also getting the funding due to the amount of fees that they're able to collect from these same investors who don't know the tricks to be able to same money in fees (such as using GDAX instead of buying on coinbase) Investors like that they're a trusted name in crypto, they collect high fees, and they're continuing to get more and more customers. It's a godsend for investors

They also have their ecommerce merchant services available too. The money they make on the 1% withdrawal must be massive so investors are attracted to Coinbase.

The exchange is considered to be the most participant and has the best security today, in addition to it has many coin functions and community freeze.
Especially the exchange is quite easy to use for beginners.

coinbase is a great platform for bitcoin buying and selling for some countries investors because coinbase buying selling is not available in all countries. on coinbase platform peoples can buy bitcoins from debit,credit card also they can sell bitcoin and get payment directly in their bank account because they don't need to find any legit seller for purchase bitcoin. coinbase already makes contract with many merchants to accept bitcoin as a payment.

coin base is the big platform in the crtyptocurrencies, we can see from 2015 first time i know about coinbase, i dont expect that that platfrom will success until right now, but as we cans ee that coin base have the friendly user interface and have the good support, its the reason why people choosing coinbase

You can see coinbase as a wallet provider for certain Altcoins. But they are also one of the providers of Bitcoin buying and selling services through FIAT. They are also involved in big projects, so it's like a big investor.

Coinbase has a huge market share of people due to its fiat gateways and ease of access. Most investors cant be bothered with other exchanges.

I think that many people have a lot of trust in Coinbase and therefore they use it. I think they are trying to cooperate with regulators and therefore I think that everything will be fine with them.

I fail to see why that would be a specific reason for investors lining up to invest in Coinbase. There must be something else to it.

Just like anoy other merchants buying and selling bitcoin in an centralized market is easy and API is more easier way to sell but KYc should be the priority of this exchange. Coinvase right now has almost reach a billion market of its users and probably in the next few years more coins will be added so in the U.S they are more paying attention on this one.

Coinbase is one of the most known website to buy and sell Btc, they have clear interface, very good security, fiat acceptance, easy to use interface so it is obvious that they could catch lots of investments ! They have the trust of people which is mandatory.

Coinbase is the big company in bitcoin, they handle million of wallet and account, so it is very good when the investor trust Coinbase to investing on coinbase right? have the big company and trustful.

Coinbase service is free,  you can create wallet, exchange, transaction, buy BTC no loss at all. Coinbase is widely used and trusted by bitcoin users.

Their ease of use for merchants is a plus but that cannot be a major selling point for attracting investor funds. They have their FIAT set up with banking in the UK as well as US. They are expanding but I see Binance (non-FIAT) and so many other exchanges that have potential. I cannot understand how and why Coinbase holds that much potential and value in eyes of investors.

easy to use, one of the biggest, good security (once it blocked me as I failed to provide Google Authenticator 2FA as I lost my phone, they went through the total vitrification again before unlocking my account.) - also, they are the best if you think about an online account for your BTCs.

Coinbase was one of the fist exchanges that "legitimized" the trading of bitcoins by introducing strict KYC/AML requirements and this is what some users wanted. I am saying some, because a lot of Bitcoin users did not want a centralized authority like Coinbase to rape people's Bitcoin anonymity.

It is difficult for a law-abiding citizen/business to use services that might get them into trouble. Some people want to operate legitimate businesses and they want to pay their taxes and could care less about financial privacy. <Coinbase was exactly what these people needed and this is why Coinbase became so popular>  :P

Actually many investors choose coinbase because they could easily set it up and can use. 2FA verification good strong security to use coinbase wallet. When I buy and sell bitcoin in my country people then i used the coinbase because to easily transaction.

It's established, and most likely cryptocurrencies are going to get big in near future, so investors want to be part of it.

Coinbase was introduced at a time when some Bitcoiners wanted a legitimate company with KYC/AML regulations to protect their Bitcoin investment. In the early days, most Bitcoiners was very focussed on anonymity and sticking it to the "Man"... but as time goes by, a lot of new Bitcoiners entered the scene and they wanted to "legitimize" the scene. <They wanted a company with a good reputation and one that would be more secure than the dodgy sites at the time>

Coinbase quickly grew into a huge company and it got a good track record for security. <MtGox and other exchanges that got hacked, was a huge blow for most people who wanted to get into Bitcoin at the time.>  >:(

There are too many scams in crypto. Coinbase is a trusted exchange and easy to use. Passing regulation means they less likely to lose investor funds, same as Gemini.

Cannot be denied they have a great UI but their live customer services is attrociously bad.

They have automated replies and when you cannot find the answer they give an email address but a project the size of Coinbase really should have live chat operators.

Coinbase is truly the best exchange we have right now,this praises are the fruits of their hood governance,the team behind the site is very constant in developing and for customers concern,their support is there whenever you need clarification ,no wonder why they are One of the best exchange now,being a coinbase user for more than a year,all i can say is positive and nothing negative(only the high fee is my concern incase they want to lower it lol)  ;D

I don't think this will help much since live chat operators mostly only provide information. They can't look into your account, make changes, etc. There isn't much usefulness to these services if you think about it.

I would even say that people could end up more frustrated with than without live chat operators. I have read enough about how exchanges have blocked people from chat because they didn't follow their 'chat etiquette'.
