42 - It's the answer.


[size=35] PREMINE DISCLOSURE [/size]

The new 42 chain had a premine of 1.75 Million coins, which happened on block 1.
Although we are against premines in most forms, this one was necessary as our previous TRTL based chain broke.
All the funds in the premine, with the exception of 100K for giveaways to thank the community for dealing
with this very long hiatus were given to wallets to replace coins on the previous chain to a 100:1 ratio.
The only coins that I took (I referring to System96) were my own from the previous chain, which was around

Im glad you asked! Although 42 has an intentionally tongue and cheek way of going about things, but that doesn't mean we aren't serious development wise.

42 is a magic coin. The price is so high. It's a single currency.

With the reasons and evidence you give, this can be a good replacement coin. But to do that, you must first attract strong community support, technological improvements must be effective and take special measures to stand alone. I'm waiting for that

hmmm, miner.exe....yeah so some help on how to mine this coin would be great
Tried loads of different commands for solo...nuthin
Tried pool recommended easy mier...which seems to be mining from algo, so failed
Why does wallet, and pool wallet give different type of addresses???

What a mess

As for the slating the original coin (not by the DEV buts the other guys), for mining, its been all done years ago, as for trading, still a very good coin to trade. Can be very profitable.

The pool wallet is fucked up and we didn't fork it because no one uses it. We'll probably remove it from the source entirely because all it is a shitty simplewallet with an RPC interface. We didn't copy an existing coin, we just copied the HGTTG :D

42 and 42-coin are different entities and they have different goals. I believe they can coexist.

Lolo investors, not trying to rain on your parade but investing is really not the point of the coin as stated in our FAQ (https://coin42.co/faq.html). If your looking for investments, go somewhere else.

If your looking for fun however your in the damn right place!

Ok, that the old 42 Coin is dead is a good argument, but as far as the total supply is concerned, everyone has their own opinion. Anyway, I wish you much success for your project. Let's see if 42 is really the answer.  ;)

I think i will donate some money, but I got confused because on marketcap, I see other 42 coins
but I think this project is fucking awesome, we mine for fun not for money

So this means that the coin won't be able to be used to make some kind of transaction.
Like paying some bills, purchasing some goods or any other things like that.

We never said any of that. The site actually says you could send it to anyone and potentially pay for anything, it's just that profit isn't the main goal of the coin and isn't kept in mind during development.

Storage of value != Profit;

yes, I Downloaded from that web, but when I open 42d application, it shows nothing, just blank the wallet won't sync, can you help me?

If it still hangs though I would delete the 42 folder in %appdata% or start the daemon with the argument --p2p-bind-port=4222 (or literally whatever port you want lol)

Since up until today, I still don't really get what the real reason of the existence of this project, cause I still has a doubt about the seriousness of this project.
