If you want to choose: "HODLING or DAY TRADING" which one do you prepare to choose? as we all know that Hodling is only for those who has long patience because hodling is boring and idle while some are thrilled with day trading and continuously aiming at the prospected profit!  don't  hesitate to drop your perspective here.

Who says HODLING is boring? You have got to be kidding with me op. HODLING is my preferred strategy in this extremely volatile cryptocurrency market which has always helped me earn steady profits in the short term as well as the long term. Selling at the right moment also matters a lot which many people tend to forget a lot. HODLING is a much stress free option when compared to day trading.

For me doing both would be ideal since it would maximize your profits. But as we all know not all of us will have the means to do it. And yes I would agree to you that hodling is kinda boring but it is one of the most assured way of having profits in this market as opposed with the margin of error in doing day trading with more risks involved.

Well if you're clever enough to predict things at its best, then maybe you can do both. Lets say in Day Trading, you're buying cheap then selling high, this cycle is a bit more profitable than Hodling because Hodling is far too long and it makes more time but if the coins arent doing well but you foresee that it has a potential or the product of it is unique the Hodling for it will make you richer than making day trading.

Definitely holding. If you choose the right coin, not very popular but with a good fundamental, then in one year it can give x50-100 profit. I can not even imagine what a professional you need to be a trader to earn so much for such a time.

I will choose both of the methods. In fact hodling will become a very good thing if you can choose the coin which still has so many rooms to growth in the future. the fact that the trade will give you a regular income as long as you can try to manage your own trade activity properly.

holding is only good if the coin you are holding is a good one with real future, low risk, big rewards. and so far i only know of bitcoin that fulfills these conditions. this means i only find day trading a viable option for altcoins.

based on my experience i am making a lot more profit when i trade altcoins in short term only which is why i am going to stick to it, in the end the only important thing is whether you are successful in the strategy that you choose not the strategy that someone else uses. maybe the strategies i use is not good for someone else or vice versa.

Day trading for professionals gives a good income, because the cryptocurrency market is very volatile! But if you are not a professional, it is better not to do it. It is better to keep coins and half of the capital in bitcoins!

No need to choose because all are possible like they good for invest to earn here OP and if you post that you get bored in long term i think we have different feeling and want so if you like that then do that still i suggest you to hold some as a trader too then actually i only earn here in long term like a few months and not in day trading,Moreover try all ways to earn here that's all i can say

Holding any day, This is not to say that day trading has no meaning or value but its just a matter of preference, HOLDING GIVE the coin lots of room to grow as the development team works on improving the coin value overtime, hence attracting more value in the long run

I prefer holding because it has many advantages one of them does not require much time to trade. it is suitable for long-term investor type.

I would choose HODLING, because in my opinion it's less exciting and uncomplicated, and brings more profit than DAY TRADING.

Just hodling is for newbies and people who are busy with their own job and have no time to give towards crypto but want's be be a part of the expansive economy.
If you really want's to make a profit, has the learning skill and a good liquidity than day trade is the job for you.

I am a long-term holders and I have been holding some of my tokens for long and some of them more than 1 year now.  Trading is good but you have to know how it works before you can actually makes good money from it.  Trading is very risky and you should learn how to trade before investing.

Actually to be honest if I want to pick or choose one it would be holding(or HODL) why? today is a sign, a possible sign that bitcoin value and other altcoin will rise to the moon. Which means you money will rise the percentage or double while the market value slowly do its best to make you holders or traders happy. Still to be honest trading and holding is good.

Holding is a good deal, but not always profitable, because you don't know if it will grow or contrariwise drop to zero. And day trading may bring to you more profit. Money need to work but not to wait. But you need to be very careful and don't make hasty decision

I choose holding because I do not have the skills to day trading, I don't have skills technical analysis. Especially holding for me is a less nervous process that does not require much time.

Holding is good if the market is bullish, but if the market is slow and is moving sideways then go for day trading. With it you can multiply your coins. I have been using these tactics and been got reasonable success.

It all depends on the coins you choose. Some coins are not suitable for day trading, as they do not have high volatility, but in the long-term period they will grow strongly.

I personally will choose Day trading (well, actually it is swing trading). In this volatile market of cryptos, if you follow some coin closely and be patient enough, you will surely make money.

If you choose holding, be sure to set an exit rate to avoid bag holding.

Well many people have had this argument over which is better and honestly, i think it's up to how a person sees and reacts to the market and his capital. I personally think hodling has lesser risks since it has lesser movement but certain people can develop skills to make them efficient in reading the market.

as a BitcoinHodler it is obvious what i have chosen to HODL. so i wouldn't get into that anymore.

just want to add to what was said already that you don't have to necessarily force yourself to only choose one. you can do multiple strategies and make profit from all of them.
for example i am buying and holding bitcoin while i do some altcoin day trading and sometimes even day trade bitcoin mainly during times when i can predict the market easily (when it is most predictable).
you can also add margin trading and short altcoins that are getting dumped hard to make even more profit.

basically, it all depends on the price of the coin in the market. if the price is good to do day trading then i will do it. but if I think the market is not supporting then I would prefer to hold my coins. for me to do day trading when the price is down has a big risk, especially we will get the loss.

I am a risk taker so day trading would be the best choice for me,holding wont give you good results if you want to maximize your potential profits why not trade and make money using your assets? there will be much difference between trading and just waiting for some kinda miracle to happen in the market keep in mind that the banks are controlling bitcoin's value which is why we shouldnt expect too much.

in my opinion, I do not like daily trading, I prefer to choose to hold for long term because I want to play it safe and I want to get a better profit in the future.

Holding is a good choice. I often place this higher than Trading if you are inexperienced. But Holding also needs to have a separate skill to make a profit, have to scrutinize its foundation, use long-term analysis, consider the community around it and events, etc. I personally combine it to make a profit, sometimes I participate in bounty, especially for potential projects, such as Eot (Eon), when ico you can combine skills skills and trading accordingly.

To find the right  enter and exit point for the hold - this is very important. January showed me a lesson in haste and a lesson in greed. I overdid many altcoins and missed the opportunity to earn.

Of course, you would want to do both.
There is an incredible amount of profit to be had from day trading.
It takes a lot of skill and knowledge so many are afraid to do it but if you stick with it and learn from your mistakes it can be really worth your time.
For me, I lost a lot of money when I first started day trading but I adapted to the market and now it is a normal part of my investment strategy.
I have a normal full time job, so I do it during my free time, typically no longer than 30 min. to an hour a day and it brings steady value to my porftolio.

for hodling, I do that also and is an important part of crypto.
There are companies that will legitimately be the next "Google" or "amazon" of the crypto world.
I have found it to be very much worth my time to research projects and pick one that will see substantial development in the next couple years.
This can really help you achieve those really high financial goals.

If the cryptocurrency market in 2017 is backward, it might be better Day Trading.
But if the market is January 2018 until now it's HODLING for the long term, I also bought the SCC token at Mercatox at a price of 155 Gwei and now the price is 75 Gwei. (-50% SAD)

If I were to choose between holding and day trading, I wod definitely pick holding. Day trading is not for me. I can't handle the stress with day trading. Trading requires a lot of work like checking the price of your coins every minute and always looking at the markets status very often. Yes you do earn fast in trading but I don't really mind waiting for my profit.

For me trading is better then holding but for those who don't know how to trade or don't know the correct timing for trading so holding is much better for them. Trading is a very good skill which gives you profit and amazing experience but it need many times to understand each and every movement of market. It needs pateint also.

At this moment forward i prefer to do both, I hodl on coins that i believe will have a good future of price increase, and i trade another coins that has a high fluctuation in it's price, so i could gain enough profit from it.

Maybe as a first step I will choose to hang out first, indeed here you need patience because to get the results it takes a long time but the results can be used for trading and we can get more profits from the trading results

hold naturally also viewed the situation as capital owned at the beginning. If small but hold in the long run is certainly a loss in terms of time. better might be traded daily since at this when could play a good strategy can always get consistent results every time. Despite their risk but at least of small capital can continue to grow to become large.

I think, both are my choices, hodling is my strategy to create market stability, so bitcoin doesn't fall drastically, while trading is a strategy to create short-term profit.

if I only choose hold, then I will not get short-term profit.

I prefer long term because it is more profitable, I mean we will get more profit than we have to trade every day/short term. anyways I also don't have much time to see the market every day ;D

Day trading better i think, long term holding not depends from you, you only wait when market returns its notpredictable

I'd rather say day trading, i'd like some thrills. If you do day trading you will get better and better on your next trades because you will gain experience on how to deal with market and the charts. However, when you are looking for big gains or profits, I will say choose Holding, cause it gives more profit than a normal trade.

I would prefer doing just by HODLING. Because when I am a long term holder, I keep the stress away comparing to making day trades. Because in day trades, you need to keep an eye on the prices from time to time, and that part will surely steal your complete time of the day. While holding, just a chill type with a long term profit earnings.

I have always wanted to hodl for as long as possible, right from the onset I love a long term process because it always yields a lasting and impressive results.. Holding my coins for two years or more as the case maybe which will enhance that particular investment to grow overtime and be one of the big stakeholders in the business

More than choice its about the acumen and work one puts into each, and i think most people end up doing both once they have understood this crypto world and how it works.

In my opinion between hodling or day trading both can be done and depend on our needs. If we don't insist on needing fresh money, then it's better to hang out. Day trading can be done to get a daily profit even though it is not large. For me, I prefer Hodling for coins that have good potential in the future, and trade daily on certain coin-coins that have a large volume

i think the last 2 years have proven that holding altcoins is a terrible idea and you will end up losing a lot more money than you could imagine. and the only way to go is to day trade or basically to do a short term trading where you don't end up holding altcoins longer than a couple of days.

and that is what i have been doing for the past couple of years because i am most comfortable with this strategy and also trying different things i find that this strategy is the most profitable for me.

Now I would choose day trading , because it's a much safer and faster way to earn money nowadays . Hodling is not a very good option right now , because you can't be sure that market won't move down and and how long this bearish trend will last . Maybe you will have to wait 2 years or more until price will reach the desired levels , will that suit you? Hmm , I don't think so  :-\

Holding and day trading I choose both of them. I would like in invest 50 % of my capital for long term and another 50 percent for the day trading. Day trading is also good for making some income but it's also risky too. But for long term before choosing the cryptocurrency you should do more research about the project. For long term I choose Bitcoin and ethereum. These two I always consider as a long term investment.
