My hope is that cryptocurrency is getting known all over the world, its usage is increasing and the security of its transaction is getting better.
all crypto is legend across the country.

each person must have their own expectations, and some hope bitcoin up there also who expect bitcoin prices to go down because they have their own needs and to be honest I hope bitcoin prices go up.

I think that in August may be the growth of altcoins. Much will depend on Bitcoin. If it falls, then altcoyn can be very hard.

I think the market in August will be volitile. And here we see the rapid collapse and price increases. We must be prepared for what can happen. Because it may fall and return to 4,000 $ to 5,000 $

In my opinion, I think the crypto market will be more stable around the $8,000 - $9,000 price range. I don't think it will drop to the lows of 4k or 5k. I think it will either stay more or less where it is at the moment or go higher.

I expect that the value will hover between 8k and 9k. I do hope that the value will increase more as we approach the end of the year.

bitcoin will rise at least until the first half of the August before the SEC decision comes out about ETF and then we will see a small correction in price which will also be an excellent time to pick up some bitcoins at a small discount before the rise continues.

the crypto market aka altcoins will not change. and if bitcoin continues rising big time we will continue seeing altcoins get dumped harder.

The past experience says that it will continue to rise upwards and may reach unexpected prices one more time. Once the bitcoin starts going up it alway attracts investors to jump in and this liquid flow of the investors then makes sure that bitcoin will not be going down anytime sooner. This situation arises only few times when all the altcoins are dumping and bitcoin rising, meaning people are actually putting their assets in the bitcoin so that they wont miss the train here. Surely people are now thinking that bitcoin might go high in similar way it did last year and thus they will either hold, jump in, buy more and in the process it will keep rising itself very high.

We are facing a political and social revolution in these day when SEC will annunce the cryptocurrencies can be fairly traded in tradictional market as well - this is a huge point and you can't argue.

I hope we really find a solution in the world contest and overtake FIAT because it's justa a Scam!

Crypto should start recovering in August and September. We have seen a big dip, but everything should start climbing back up

Expectation is depend on particular person need some wanna crypto should be down and some wanna should be up but i want bitcoin and Altcoins both Should be up in August and bitcoin break its all time high $20000 record and me and many bag holders will get profit from this uptrend. everyone know crypto is volatile and it can be high anytime in future.

Everyone has their own expectations and their expectations are the best for them.But I also expect the price of crypto market in august to rise.Although the increase may not be as expected but at least the market price of crypto could be more up than the market price at currently.

I think we'll be around the 9k-9.7k mark. We're currently @ $8260, but I think the hype/speculations around the Bitcoin ETF will keep going up next month which will continue to stimulate an upward movement in the price. We'll probably consolidate for a while around the 9k's before the official SEC announcement about the Bitcoin ETF which will probably be in September, according to some news outlets.

It is necessary to look, when the maximum number of people will write in the Internet search engines how to put on a decline. When the short squeeze reaches 20-45%, a sharp move to the top will begin. There is no regulation on the market, there are no news, so we will never know what kind of news it will do. if viewed from the chart, technically bitcoin will increase, we see the current price is moving between $ 8000 with a very powerful body candlestick, I think, in August bitcoin can reach between $ 10000- $ 12000

I would say the range for August will be 7500 - 9500. So far the price looks decently strong at 8000, but I'm sure in the next month there will be a correction at some point, but in general I expect some bullish pressure for the month.

I hope there is a correction, I want some more discounted Bitcoin! This price rise was super unexpected for me, I was actually thinking this bear market would continue and we would see lows at around the $4k - $5k levels, but of course the price surprised me. I did get burned a little bit  :-\ But its my fault as I was essentially gambling with the price. I just don't want to miss out when the price really starts exploding to $20k+ which will be happening soon, possibly by the end of year.

Honestly Im not expecting too much this month on what will happened to bitcoin price.

Just go with the flow an trust the process. What matters here is our long term vision and of course since most of us here are bitcoin optimist then just expect that your positive expectations will surely happened no matter what.

The price increase movement that started few days ago no doubt really gave back the excitement of most of the average joes. This is a good start after getting struck in bearish market for long period.

I don't fancy predicting the shape the market would take.
The news regarding bitcoin ETF woupdnbe have a telling effect on the market, possitively or negatively.

With the amount of time needed in able to rise crypto I doubt there will be a big change or it will go up in the short length of time, probably there will be slight changes but we can barely see it as the changes is from separate coins and not as the whole crypto, if bitcoin continues to go up altcoin has a possibility to go down since they have a indirect proportion there is a low chance of changes if we talk about crypto as a whole.

To be totally honest, I really don't see any reasons the market should make a full 180° turn and go green so suddenly. August will probably be like any other month we have had from April 2018. BTC will jump between 7000-9000 USD and the alts see small rises/falls.

As of now I don't any expectations about the price because we bounce back to lower price again. So nothing to predict for me or expectation this august.

We don't know what is gonna happen with the market, because by this time the market is predicted to stay strong with a forward push. What we experience is completely opposite to the expectation and prediction for the month. I expect the price to go above $10000 before the end of the month, hope the expectation comes true.

It's August and like other past months, the entry was good but after few days we're under $7,000.
Becoming neutral will make you calm while the market is bleeding and others are panicking. This is much better to say rather than asking when it will recover.

Go up in august. now bitcoin keeps climbing, I think after slight fall in this week, Bitcoin will hit 9k in next weeks, and by end aug maybe hit 10k again.

I think August will be last month of bear trend and we will see reversal in the end of August. In September new bull cycle will begin after ETF on Bitcoin will be accepted by SEC.

The market will recover during this period and you may find that many altcoin are showing signs of growth. Many ICO projects are also attracting a large amount of investment from investors, which is a good signal for the market in this difficult period.

The month of august still a bear market what im waiting for is the start of Q4 which is the beginning of bull market. Big amount of money will enter the crypto.

Sure, I expect a bullrun for crypto market. But, reality said trend os very right now. So, I will not hope too much for big profit and waiting good something to come.

I want to vote, I don't know. Because every prediction comes with a huge down. When everyone was hoping for a bull market in August, The bearish market has come. So, you can't expect good pump this year. Crypto has not obeyed any commands. This year is really hope breaking year.

Unfortunately there are no new buyers on crypto market now so crypro has small chances to grow in August. But in September we can see the growth because awaiting of SEC's decision about ETF on Bitcoin so institutional investore will come here to buy crypto and pump it up.

Yeah most of us wants that the price of bitcoin will rise for this month until it reach the all time high. Although nothing is sure about this technology as it's still a bearish trends we had. I hoping that this month will be the start of a new bull run. Let's hope and wait to happen.

We might see another low in August which is another opportunity to buy more and gain profit for long term. I'd like to see a strong support for BTC at $6k level but I guess it would go down to $4k level due to continuous downfall across the market. The trend might continue until the start of Q4 2018. The bulls will probably wake up when September ends that might turn the tables.

In the month of August, I expect the crypto market to make some positive moves and the price of coin should rise and by the end of the month, the bull run should start.

It still surprises me that after it is glaring enough that we are in a bear year, so many people still expect a huge bull run in this year. Well, August is here, the bears are still trying to stamp the fact that they are still in play and as long as that is concerned, the idea of some bull run expectancy is something no one should be putting too much mind on except if they are ready to focus on the long term.

I expect that this month of August the cryto market will goes down.This is my opinion because right now most of altcoins are going down.

there is nothing to expect from the market this august, at the end of july if im not mistaken the value is more than 7k for the bitcoin but this time the price is come to 6k again so we should not expect so that we will not get lose our focus on earning since the price is too low the best thing to do is to have a good earnings and savings preparation for the bull run if ever it will happen.

I think that we are near the bottom now. I just can't see the whole marketcap to go under 200 Billion dollars, so the only way from now should be for the marketcap to increase in price. My hope is that it will go to at least 300 Billion dollars by the end of August.

ETF it will not help crypto on the moon. In 2017 the ETF was also rejected. But right after that Bitcoin has reached 19800$. So ETF is not the main reason. The market needs to have a long-term adjustment to be able to go up in the future. But I agree with you that the bitcoin price will go down to 3,500$ in 2018

It's better to not expect more about the crypto market or the coins that you hold because there's a possibility that will be disappoint if it's not going to happen. Most of people here are expecting the bull run is coming, personally I didn't expect that but I am waiting that it will happen.

Thanks for the response, there's too much talk about bitcoin will hit $4,000 soon and it was caused by these news medias. While bitcoin reached 50.2% dominance still its price isn't moving forward.

I'm sad since I'm expecting that August will the month to change gear to a bullish but I'm wrong as the price manage to go down in early August. I'm hoping that this will not go lower than $5k and bounce back to return at $8k again. Crypto is unpredictable and who knows this will make another bull run soon.

at the end of July if I am not mistaken it is worth more than 7k for bitcoin but this time the price comes to 6k again so we should not expect that we will not lose our focus on earning income because the price is too low, the best thing to do is have income.

After stepping in July, we started witnessing a good rise in the market values of Bitcoin and some other coins as well and I was of the view that the same would continue to happen in august as well but we have a fall in the values again and it sometimes makes me feel bad about the bearish market still going on but these momentary fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin and other coins should not be considered as the reasons of market failures and the market has positive trend in the values of crypto which means we are rising slowly.

By voting, it is clear that the market has not yet left the optimists, but if you look at things realistically, until the market is not going to return to its previous level and further reduced both the income of investors and devalued many of the coins.

A great percentage of what will happen to the crypto market will be highly dependent on how bitcoin fairs. Should BTC continue with its current trend, alts will continue to bleed and some might just bleed out.

Price will soon be back to $6000 and above.  After next leg up that will happen in 2020 Bitcoin will go over $200k. But now bitcoin is down again at $6,300, I didn't expect that bitcoin goes dump in this month of August, I thought it will reach $9,000 this month, well this is crypto we can not predict.

you fully rightly noted the fact that almost all 7 months We are presented with only positive forecasts for the near future, But the entire crypto currency market could not show a positive trend in the growth of the crypto currency, the late 2017.

I think that in August, nothing will happen in the crypto currency market. No major news is expected this month, so we will also be in the consolidation.

I also think bitcoin might reach a price which is nearly or higher than $8000. But I think it is hard to say that ethereum can reach the movement of the bitcoin, because I think the price characteristics of eth are showing a little bit differences in these days.

August should be ending with $8K plus. Now the value of each coin is better to invest in. Now bitcoin price is travelling between $6500 to $7000. Looking at last year growth trend, the growth started in July moving upward. We had bitcoin price grow up last month, but still it went back to $6000 now. This would be last fall this year and hope so. Now this is the time for all crypto currencies grow up. Hope bitcoin price hit $8500 this month end. 

I expected bitcoins to reach 9000 this August ending but how it is trading now, I have lost hope and believe a miracle can happen for the target to reach before we enter september. Nevertheless I believe bitcoins will not end August with a price less than 7000 USD.

in the end of july i bought some bitcoin and altcoin because i expect good news from ETF, but when its delayed again my portofolio investment is lose more than 30 percent..

I believe most of this month we will see bitcoin going either down or sideways as the bears are still controlling the game.

at least i hope the price is more stable and does not fall free. this will give positive sentiment to investors and hope that new funds will flow to cryptocurrency and market capital will increase and that is good for development.

From what transpired last month and the fact that we are in the middle of August and the market movement has remained the same is an indication that the market will remain relatively unchanged for the remaining part of the month and even to next month. Haven said that I strongly believe that around October and November, we may have a positive change in terms of an upward surge.

I also hope that bitcoin and all of the other coins can grow more in the near future. In my opinion, the prices can be similar with the prices of the last year and can make a good comeback in the january.

The market is free fall and everything can possibly happen, rise or fall.
I guess many investors are difficult and skeptic to come in because they are only seeing the fall. And these investors are the rich-quick type of investors and isn't willing to take dips.

I think the price of bitcoin is not ready to achive reaching a value which is higher than $8000 for now. But after of the august, I think all coins can show a great rising and finally maybe we can see very satisfying prices in the end of the year.

It's gonna be a roller coaster ride because it's just a couple of days ago when bitcoin has dropped to 6,000$ from 8,000$ mark and that really takes time to recover from that dip. Before the commission had postponed ETF bitcoin, I expected the growth rate of bitcoin. I also expected that after the growth of bitcoin, the altcoins would also begin to grow. But the consideration of ETF bitcoin was postponed, so many of us were disappointed.

That is what many people among us are expecting to cash their coins when the prices are high in the market again. I think the market value will not fall anymore and we will rather rise hopefully. The price is a bit stable and on the average, rise is more than fall in the market because of the invisible hand operating in the market that has made it possible to carry away Bitcoin out of the recession to the boom. Moreover, investing right now will okay off more than what we normally expect of our investment.

Earlier this month bitcoin etf was rejected but some other way of trading bitcoin is being considered like bitcoin derivatives with one day settlement features. I guess if that happen before October and bitcoin etf then we may have up trend. But I guess we cannot expect that to happen in the remaining half of this month.

We are half way thru. So far we had a $1350 decline or almost 20%. Price started the month of August at $7750  and is now at $6400.   I believe most people voting here will be proven wrong at end of month.

August has been one of the worst day for the market,  Market Cap dropped to $195 billion,  Ethereum dumped by ICOs project to $260, I just hope we see a bullish season this year

Good day. According to the poll, majority voted that cryptocurrency market will go up but what happened was the opposite. We can never really predict the movement of the market. We still have 2 weeks left of August, we will see what will happen. Hopefully it will recover by then.

For a long time I realized that you can not sit and expect something from the market. Sometimes it becomes a sad experience. It turns out well for those who do not wait. We act on the situation and study further.

i'm expecting it to sit around it's current levels until mid september or so when the long anticipated bull run comes into play. The world economic recession is on the verge of beginning and when that happens can expect a huge surge in all the market.

Not much, but I am surprised the pool reveals that most people are positive about what it is going to happen, I am surprised that despite the long bear market people are still this positive when I do not see any indication the bear market is going to end soon at all, do not get me wrong that will be great and I will love to see all my portfolio getting profits but I just do not see it happening.

Why wouldn't they expect anything else? This isn't the first time we've been through this with this technology. Just go back and look, it wasn't long before Bitcoin took off on a rocket ship and went to $20k, it was only sitting at $220. That was after a crash from a high of about $1300. Because the bull market you are referring to came after a bear market that lasted years, it came after we had a huge increase in the interest in bitcoin thanks to segwit and the debate about how to solve the scaling issue, bull markets like that are not going to happen every year and it is unlikely we are going to have back to back bull runs in consecutive years, that is why expecting such a thing does not seem logical to me.

Debate how to solve scaling in Bitcoin are going on many years. Last years price increase had nothing to do with that. Bitcoin cycle was just ready for new ATH. History just repeated itself once again.

I think in August until the end of 2018 there will be no changes and surprises like last year. because I see the current price movements down and up more down. and I am very sure that from August to December prices will continue to fall.

The market has been very flat for most of the month, to me September is going to dictate what the remainin of the year would look like for the price. Most people are specualting the CME ETF is going to be postponed to February and if this happens I don't know what would drive the price up unless the general market sentiment change to positive
