Title: [Help]Connect 3+ cards to PSU w 2 vga outputs?
Post by: Praeconium on February 19, 2014, 05:09:35 PM
I am first time mining, and so far I managed to mine with 2 cards at 410Kh/s, my setup is:

BAMT 1.3 on USB
Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 Rev4
4 Asus 270x DirectCUII Top (oc edition)
1050w Chieftec Gold PSU
AMD FX4600
8GB RAM

The issue is that PSU has 2 VGA outputs (http://bit.ly/1blRwMu (http://bit.ly/1blRwMu)), so I connect 2 cards easily (http://postimg.org/image/ifxnx36ap/ (http://postimg.org/image/ifxnx36ap/)), but could I utilise the black outputs for more cards somehow?
Or can I use these cables that came with cards so that I plug one of these and one from vga output, and get 4 cards to run on 2 red outputs? ( http://postimg.org/image/jps9q9bnl/ (http://postimg.org/image/jps9q9bnl/))

Cards take ~180Wx4=720, I have AMD FX4600 that takes additional ~150, and I still have some left, am I right about PSU being able to run this?
