You may refer to this link if you wanted more ideas which laptop to buy. https://www.ecloudbuzz.com/things-to-consider-before-buying-a-laptop/

Based on my experience using a laptop, you may used any laptop with battery life of 5 to 6 hours, 8GB or more memory and Intel i5 up processor.

If you are looking for a laptop with below $500, check this link https://laptop.ninja/finding-the-best-laptops-under-500-dollars/

I don't think if laptop is big deal in crypto, any laptop is applicable for crypto and you don't need a high quality specs for crypto, its better to look for a book that guides you in crypto to learn more how to will you earn.

I don't think I'd use a laptop for running masternodes. My opinion, you'd need a super cooling system to keep from warping the motherboard.
As far as keeping a wallet or checking on exchanges, I like my chromebook for the very basics. Keep passwords and keys offline (flashdrive or paper wallets). Good luck in your quest.

What i really mean is I need a laptop for Wallets (staking and MN's(VPS-PuTTY)) and viewing exchanges, keeping live with crypto news

Now I'm looking at :

ASUS VivoBook S15

HP ENVY 15 X360 RYZEN 5 16G 1T+256SSD RADEON Vega 8

Those both look like fine options. As many people have pointed out, you don't need anything extremely powerful. You're not going to be mining on a laptop. You also don't want to be waiting around forever for load times. I recommend getting about 16 GB of RAM and a really nice SSD drive. If you get a Samsung 960 EVO or PRO, for example, you'll really notice the difference. Your computer will be real quick! A desktop computer would be cheaper for more power, of course, but if you need the portability, a laptop is a must.

I like your choice. Dell knows how to make good laptops, but this applies to the older series of those that are focused on business and gaming. But the XPS series stands apart, it's really cool devices with no less steep price. I'd say that these are top models and the real pride of the brand.

The XPS 13 9360 laptop he's thinking about buying starts at $800 and maxes out at around $1300, I believe. Macs start around $1300, don't they? You could pay almost $3000 on the top end in the US, probably more in some countries. I agree that Macs are king when it comes to the bodies of their laptops. I've haven't seen a Windows laptop with a body as nice as Macs. You haven't to think about what you're getting for your dollar though. I can buy a much more powerful Windows laptop for much cheaper than I would be able to get a Mac, so I still go with Windows.

i don't think that one laptop would be good for this, for me MacBook Air is just fine to manage wallets and exchanges ...of course if You want to do other things f.e. play video games you can give a try MacBook Pro. I like apple laptops simply because there are less viruses and crapy programs on OSX and i find them as more safe.

However if You would like to run a master node your laptop should be on 24/7 and for that or basically hard working with laptop i would recommend Dell Workstation ...or (if it would be only for master node) some PC

If you use it for mining I suggest any gaming laptop from asus, msi, dell and acer. But if your into mining building a mining rig is highly recommended instead of laptop. Buti if you use it for campaigns and other activities for crypto aside from mining any mid range to gaming laptops of the brands mentioned earlier will do.

2. Memori 4 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM
3. AMD Radeon™ R5 Graphics

If the plan is to have crypto wallets, then you will need a laptop with some big disk space, lets remember how the bitcoin node is a lil more than 200Gb now days, and if you will have your nodes updated and running that mean you will leave the laptop running 24/7 and for that you will need a nice cooling system... That's why i recommend an Asus ROG.

If you talking about mining, i wouldn't recommend you going for laptop. It's good for managing your crypto assets in any place with internet connection, but not for mining. Even if it's top gaming setup, almost all laptops has heat issues and it's gonna break your laptop eventually. And for trading and stuff you might check for thelaptopguru (https://www.thelaptopguru.com) and get yourself a lap top. I've got an Asus and it works just fine with all wallets apps.

I understand that you want to buy a laptop, not a full-fledged PC. But I strongly recommend to use a PC, because this way you save a lot of money when you buy it. In addition, the PC is easier to repair or upgrade. But if you still want a laptop (for business trips or whatever, to always have a laptop with you), then I advise you to take not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Your option is the middle segment. A laptop with average characteristics is quite enough for all tasks related to crypto. I use a rather average old laptop and I've never had any problems with this. And yet, there is no difference which model or company of the laptop you buy, they are all about the same. I hope it helps you to choose the best optin for you!

If you want a PC dedicated to cryptocurrencies you should think of buying a desktop instead of a laptop.
You will need strong GPU and CPU power and you can find it with desktops in cheaper prices than laptops.

Hmmm, hard question. I think a gaming notebook would be good for crypo if you are going to mine. But mining is not a good way to earn money nowadays.
Actually mining will lessen the life span of your laptop whether you'll mine through CPU or GPU. It's not just for mining so it's not a good choice if your plan is to mine.

Making wallets with the latest specs would definitely be enough like 9th gen for Intel and the latest for AMD. But I'll be picky with the brand if the purpose would be just for crypto wallets, 1TB of HDD would be enough but if I have other things to do like gaming or rendering, higher specs for RAM and GPU is a must.

The question should have been: "Best Laptop for Linux?". You are not going to ever do anything serious (or safe) using windows or osx.

It will also trigger many excellent answers if you search exactly that, some even sell those pre-installed, but you can always install your own distro, such as Tails (https://tails.boum.org/).

I think it’s beter to ask him first on what’s the main purpose of wanting a laptop just only for crypto, but since it was mentioned above?I am sure he doesn’t need higher GPU because the unit will only use for trading and a lower brand is enough to keep him active, but that’s better to use Personal Computer than Lappy because of higher capacity and longer life compared to laptop that mostly has a battery problems

At this point i would recommend something like the Pinebook Pro (https://www.pine64.org/pinebook-pro/). This is an ARM laptop meant to run Linux or *BSD.

Normally the weirder the architecture is, the chances of being good increase, they tend to have hardware that works with Free and Open Source software. Since there is no windows for it, kind of forces the company selling it to cherry pick decent components.

It also takes deters temptation to pollute it with unsafe operating systems.

Not really, its just Debian with Tor pre-configured. I think installing that is easier than a normal Debian install. But the main use of Tails is to use it without installing it at all, directly booting it from an optical media or usb thumb drive.

And no, you should just not use "any" OS, avoid insecure OSes like the plague and stop contributing to malware paradise. If you are not familiar with Linux or *BSD, its time you start familiarizing with them before doing serious things like handling money, ESPECIALLY when you are your own bank. Show some responsible attitude.

Not any laptop is good for this task, if we have a laptop with a 128Gb ssd, that will not enough to run a full bitcoin node. It is important to have an SSD for most of the coins nowadays, any coin node runs faster with this piece of hardware. So, the best thing to do with a laptop (if we want to use it with cryptos) is to but at least 1TB in ssd.

If you want to use that laptop for mining, then you can chase a laptop with a nice graphics card. like a 1060 nvidia or something better.

Yes its super easy, its just dd image device. In windows there are a bunch of tools that do the same, such as rufus or windd.

Then you reboot the computer and tell it to boot from that, you probably need to reboot into bios/uefi and tell it to boot from the usb. Fast/secure boot probably needs to be disabled.

As for running nodes, just run them trimmed if your storage is low. You still need to wait the 250g download for Bitcoin alone. Once in sync bandwidth use shouldn't be much, but beware of the initial download (don't do it on metered connections).

Yeah i exploit Dell's laptop on my very own it's great and that i feel very comfortable working How you run a laptop will depend upon you One can easily hide past files by itself and is extremely useful for running crypto wallets and master nodes there's no fear of the laptop hanging. you'll easily protect your passwords and there are many compatible backup subfiles.

Of course you can, just prepare to pay for at least 250g worth of data...

Unless your service also imposes data limits. Its not just money, depending on country and place.

Metered mobile data plans tend to get VERY expensive real fast. If your country is "nice", you may even have an unlimited plan, that would be the best.

You can also download the blockchain elsewhere, a place without limits, and copy it manually to your node, then the syncing would be much more cheaper.

Or download the blockchain from satellite if you can somehow get the antenna and required device.

actually there are many alternatives that you can use that are sold in the market, because maybe now the specifications are fairly advanced and not too behind because the old ones are rarely used anymore. Until now, I have only used ASUS A456U and I feel that it can be used enough that there is no need for modifications anymore.
the most important is using software and internet security original.

I think the best laptop for crypto is HP  I use an HP laptop and it's a lot of gaming laptops  You will find a lot of comfort in working  There is no fear of being hacked very well in securing exchanges and wallets. You can run everything in it without hitting it heavy  MasterNodes are great for running.

For these purposes, you can use almost any laptop. Not so important characteristics of the laptop when you use almost "office applications." If you are going to use a laptop for some modern games, then you have to buy something better, but for normal work - any laptop with core i3 or i5.

Yes.

For these applications, no need to be that much meticulous and high end. But as time goes by, the user will also upgrade the applications that he used so it may eat up a lot of ram so before buying, consider too the future upgrades.

Categorization of i3 or i5 depends too because some buyers aren't aware of the gen type of it. It must be the latest or near to that.

To tell the truth, my favorite laptops are Acer
I'll guess because of its variant. Although I don't know any acer laptop but I'm starting to like its variant.

The nitro series and predator.

If you are considering a laptop, then you may be going off grid. If this is the case, then I would replace a mechanical hard drive with a large SSD, You may also like to look at some of the fanless laptops, and thus reduce the power consumption, and increase battery life.

Go for the mac, which is better, faster and more stylish compared to other laptops. And it is not possible to say one variant as best because everyday we can see new launhes so things changes everyday. But better find the right combination of hardwares in it and also give importance to the brand.

Anything spent in Apple can be found elsewhere for a third of the price, or 3 times more capable. Apple products are pure waste. Get a decent PC with a decent OS, such as Linux. Now Apple decided to move their platform to Arm cpus, but ARM is about to be sold to a company that might extinguish it. Talk about bad timing...

In general you should have stayed away from that company for decades, at least since Steve Wozniak left. Nothing worth there, the OS isn't worth the planned obsolescence and the absolute lack of freedom, almost tyrannical rule.

If you want something "Stylish", take a look at Alibaba. Any "style" Apple creates, gets immediately copied by China. I don't particularly like it, and the true styling died with the other Steve anyway. Latest Apple laptops had infamously flawed keyboards so its not like you are getting any quality for more money either.

I could go on but i hope you see the point. Get the best gear that can run Linux (or BSD) and does and looks what you like, forget the rest.

Price of Lenovo sp145 is pretty decent. It's only worth $500 with space for upgrades. Consider this if you are into cheap but reliable brands.

For me, I see that there is no difference in the type of laptop, it is up to the wallet that you want to use, and it is better for you to use an offline wallet such as hardware wallets or paper wallets

even if not really suitable for mining as a laptop I suggest looking at the processor instead of the model, for me the best are from ryzen 5 up, obviously with dedicated nvidia card

Lol, if we are talking about cryptos then is more important the hard disk than ram and CPU, i mean, the bitcoin node is huge, more than 200GB, is something to consider if we are going ti but a lap for this goal. The ran and CPU don't matter at all, almost any machine can run a node if it has the right space on the disk.

ASUS ROG Zephryus

Considering ASUS packed a GTX 1080 inside the Zephyrus, the price is actually very reasonable.

With an excellent 144Hz 1080p display with G-Sync.

Crucial trading?

How is that? but it is needed to have at least a laptop or desktop if you are trading to navigate exchanges easily.

I saw some people said they are trading on mobile phones but I think those aee just the casual trading or simply selling and buying without any need to watch the market.

I’d advise you not to leave too much crypto on a device that regularly accesses the internet. Buy a Trezor, a Ledger or use paper wallets. Eliminate all risks, sleep better at night.

for trading any laptop that isn't used (brand new) will do !

Never store your things (Asset in crypto) in your laptop , instead use a Hardware wallet mate.

just use laptop for your trading jobs and then return your funds in your wallet.

for trading any laptop that isn't used (brand new) will do !
trading can do every where, I did on Hp atm
but it is safer if we will use new laptop than second owned.

The essence of the choice remains the same - for work as a "typewriter" will suit the model is more superficial, for complex demanding programs will need a good processor from 6 cores. And those who work with graphics need to pay attention to good color rendering, gaming graphics cards, and processor power. If previously universal devices looked bulky, now the line has been replenished with lightweight mobile gadgets. Looking from a distance at these laptops, they can be confused with MacBooks (https://thecursedcrusade.com/unlock-a-stolen-macbook-pro/) - so they are light and thin. They weigh about 2 kg and have plenty of permanent memory (1 TB) for hundreds of movies or thousands of photos.

Can anyone recommend a  good laptop for crypto? In general i want to use it for: using exchanges, holding crypto (wallets), and running masternodes. I thinking of buying XPS 13 9360.

Please help, i need a dedicated laptop.

THE BEST ONE IS MACBOOK

If you looking for laptop only using for trading and holding, use standart spec of laptop I think is enough.
Asus is good one. But I think, phone is more simple than laptop.

A laptop is a must to work online.  Because a lot of work can be done with it and many benefits can be enjoyed later.  Laptops are one of the most advanced tools for working online which makes the most difficult tasks very easy.  Laptops are used to easily transform difficult tasks.

Trading does not require expensive PCs or laptops (https://www.laptopicker.com/) with lots of processing power. For most users, a computer with 16GB of ram, an 8-core Intel i5 or Ryzen comparable processor (https://www.laptopinspect.com/), and 512 GB of storage space is enough.

I don't know if the big question is what kind of laptop you shall use or what kind of OS you shall use? Or is the major question - hard ware wallet or paper wallet? So, I would say... go for a "top of the line" HP or Lenovo ThinkPad and Linux OS and a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet.
