My last two SEPA transfers sending EURO to MTGOX have been unbearably slow. The last one I sent monday of last week and still does not appear in my account. I contacted them on thursday and they told me that they had received the transfer and that it would be available "in a few more days". The thing is, these really used to take 2-3 business (like they say in the help on the site). Anyone knows what has gone wrong? Thanks! Last week was a HK public holiday, so banks were closed. As a remainder, we only accept SEPA transfers in France. Some European banks claim to be sending SEPA transfers but actually send wire transfers, which may be subject to fees and delays because it goes through the USA. The issue here is our bank in France only provides us detail on the fees a few days after the transaction. Because of this such deposits are usually delayed. We are trying to contact other banks to tell them to send SEPA, but most do not want as they do not have the proper implementations to send SEPA from all their branches. Anyway we'll solve this issue soon by having our French bank provide us directly the SWIFT extracts in that case, which will tell us the fees. I made a SEPA transfer DE->PL (new MtGox account) and it takes already a week. Didn't expect SEPA to be so slow :-(

So as a info: Mt.Gox SEPA transfer == 7 days Yes and no, it really depends on who things are handled by banks, sometimes if could go much faster than 4 days, sometimes, and this depending of the country you are sending from and the country you are sending to, it could be due to overflow of work, public holidays... Many things but 4 days could be considered as an average. Anyway we are working on more SEPA solutions to make things faster for you all. |
