The coins are EOS and XRP . The latter can give you double investment quickly because of it's cheap price. XRP has already gone to more than double than the current price and hence it won't be too tough for it to cross that price again albeit the BTC price rises high again.
EOS is a potential coin too and personally my favorite one too as the technology is great and more prone to higher prices in the future.

Look for DACC trading in Kucoin because it's new blockchain just came out from ICO and Justin Sun (Tron) is in investors. It's cheap now and 10% below ICO price and have big potential to grow but DYOR.

The cheapest cryptocurrency that I can think about now that you can put your money in and not have to be worried about the coin dying out soon is dogecoin. It is one of the altcoins with a lot of potential even though the price is still very cheap now. There is the possibility of you getting more than double the returns but that is if you are willing to wait for it.

If I somehow happened to contribute to a digital money with a less expensive value, I will go to an altcoin underneath $0.40 like ADA, XLM, CS, DRGN and TRON. As far as I know, altcoins with the cheapest prices are dogecoin, there are indeed many more altcoins that are cheaper, but what I mean is that the prices are relatively stable. If i see in the coinmarketcap, the progress of the coin which cheaper rather than btc or eth but has good value and always increase without depend on bitcoin's decrease is WAVES. For few times, the price of WAVES is always increase not spesific or drastic increase, but i think it will be increase more than now and this coin has bright future. Nowadays, the price of WAVES only $1,96 but its listed in top 40 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

If I were to decide for myself I will choose from an already established project that has made multiple ROI from ICO price, one that has gotten to big all time highschool and one that still has a chance to grow normally I.e still has milestones to meet on the roadmap.

For me I think TrX is the cheapest to invest in right now.  There is a lot of speculation on the token and the team are really impressing.. 

I think the cheapest altcoin we should invest now is Ripple and Stellar. Ripple ranked 3rd coinmarketcap, it really has potential. Ripple has the advantage that it is accepted by many banks around the world and used. Stellar has a steady growth rate and its prices are rising fast. I believe that this year Stellar will bring a lot of profits to investors. Now the price of these altcoin is very low, this is the time for us to buy.

i dont have a good advice for buying the cheapest alts in the market you see, i dont know if the coin will do survive or not since the price is too cheap maybe like 1 sat or something?  try to buy coins with high potential in the future as of know there is so many coins have a good potential but cheap  in the market you can try to check all of those

In my opinion this is a crappy project that will bring in pennies and not double profits. It is better to consider cheap coins from the list of the top 100.
