If you trade on Margin (Margin Trading) you can make money by selling short. It's works the same as buying, you sell and then as the price drops you make money relative to the amount you sold and how much the price drops.

The only way you can make money when the market is going down is using a site called BITMEX and shorting the cryptocurrency that you want to trade on. Short makes you money when the market is going down and Long makes you money when the market is going up.

Okay so you mean to say buy whenever the market is down and sell whenever it is high. Off course this is what everyone is doing here except those weak handed people who are not buying in the down market but selling whatever they have got in the first place. This leads to unhealthy market and thus everything gets collapsed so badly and it takes very long time to recover itself. So making profits with this strategy now has got newer formula and in this case it takes more patience and could be even rough road ahead. So yeah dropping market is an opportunity but with it comes the risk and which you need to surpass if you want to make money out of it.

There are opportunity of the market drops. It's the biggest opportunity to bag plenty of altcoin in the wallet and sell it when it goes up. The cheapest price will give us huge profit when market go into bull run.

If you got luck when the price goes down a little then you buy and when the price goes up a little you also sell but thats a little risky and need a huge capital for that short trade mostly people doing that if they like a day trading.

That's quite true. An expert trader can make money in any trend in the market whether it is bullish or bearish. A good strategy can earn you good profits.
I am a long term holder and don't trade short or day trade at all but I think the I am missing on the short gains by just holding the amount. I am really considering to do short/day trade now but waiting for a good entry point. Also, a sideway trend is a good opportunity for a day trader to make money and hence any trend can make us good gains if done the right way.

I can really make money from that since I can Short any coin that could be dropping down and also I can buy them when everything goes to dip.

You can make your money when the market is down because everytime that market is down that is really the time that you can buy more coin and sometimes the coin will continue down but after that it's price will increase and it can give you profit.

If you have guts. Then you can make profit in bear run too. Because only then right price comes to buy. Which can give profit in future.

We can only make money when the crypto prices we have are higher than when we bought it. In the downtrend, it will be better if we keep holding it or even increase the amount of crypto that we have.

The easiest way to make money in a bear market is to buy the dip. Sooner or later there will be a recovery, just like the one in April or this recent one and when it happens you will be able to either sell with a profit. These recoveries always happen, the only thing that isn't certain here is the timeframe. It can take just a week, but it may also take 3 months before you see it. Emotion and Psychological problems would be your main enemy when you do see a downtrend market. Instead you are seeing this as an opportunity then most people do view out on other way which they do lose up confidence instead rather than on buying cheap coins and thinking up to accumulate and be ready on the next bull run. Shorting through margin is always a viable option (trading on margin, leveraged), but I prefer going simple and buying the dip like most people have commented here. it can but the income earned is not large, it's just an additional profit because even if trading when the market goes down it won't be able to get the maximum profit. so the only way is to use the money to buy coins at low prices and wait for high prices.

This works fine for many people but not in every case. people mostly orient towards an option that suits for most of them. like, do what romans do. When they see people earning from some method, they blindly get in contact with that method and start implementing it in their own way. A huge down market is always a good one to play with as long as you know what you are doing and you are ready to always make quick decisions as well if things are not working in your favor. Based on my experience, it is not the best of time. Although, just keep up the good job. keep on analyzing data and in the end you will get what you work for. Just dont be too optimistic when times are good and too pessimistic when times are bad. Emotion need to be control intuitively. 

Actually you can make money also in market sideways, it is called range trading and it is probably the safest one :)

No market will fall forever unless the market itself is dead which we all know this is a market that is even starting its journey gradually. For now, we can see how things have been with the market downtrend and the possibilities of going lower which was apparent after the last year bullish move which was thoroughly based on speculation, but this is just more like a good chance for everyone to get the best from it eventually.

Actually its better to make daytrade when the markets is moving like what were having now since the market is continuously pumping and dumping though this requires combination of skills,knowledge and instincts determining what coins/tokens to buy.

Just this week i have gain in two tokens that made a good growth but i limit my capital so i only earn small amount but enough to satisfy myself..i dont consider to be an expert but i always make sure before buying that what im investing is a good one.

I am using bitmex for quite some time now and just like what you've said, you can easily gain profits even if the market really on it's bear scene. Though indicators are very useful in margin trading in bitmex, most of the time whales are always there to manipulate everything. In other words, we can still gain even if the market falls.

I'm a investor in online exchange market. I think I'm a successful online trader. I wait for market drops Because when market price drops then I buy big amount of crypto. And hold these crypto for some days. When market price is raise then sell my all cryptos. So I become benefited. I make my earning money from this system.

It seems most of the people that actually got in late 2017 got in for the money and the idea of getting rich quickly but after some months of correction which is still ongoing, some smart ones like you are beginning to see the real deal rather than having the mindset of it being a get rich quick scheme.

Professional traders know what they do. They know how to read charts and analyze it. I can't say myself as an amateur trader.

I'm not a professional trader or margin trader so I can't make money when the market is dropping. I'd prefer to hold a coin until I can or will put a stop loss to prevent further loss of my funds.

I think there is still a good chance to still get a return. However, the difficult part is to find those projects that are gems waiting to be polished. As more and more projects are coming out, it has been increasingly difficult to find and join the good ones that prosper despite the market not doing good. So, if one really wants to gain, he should continue pushing and not just join any other project.

everything is pure manipulation,you can get any profit from our current market as long as you have a ton of money on your bags.but if you do not have it,you won't get anything.
some people might show you about their earning for a couple days before from this drop,but they did not show you how much their lost is.

People tend to suffer in bear market because they don't really take actions in such phase. In bull market, if you have invested in a coin, you don't really have to do anything and price will go up with the market. But in bear, you have to short your positions according to the trends. If you don't do anything, the price will naturally go down leaving no room for profits through shorting.

Even professional traders will not be able to make money when the market prices are dropping, the best thing to do is just always have patience when the market price is dropping in order to make profit when it grows again.

A lot of people say that they make money in down market also and the only one way that I know is margin trading. Although what I do in case of market dump is that I buy coins at a low price and when the market comes back to normal then I sell my coins and take the profit.

Most of the traders do that, accumulate each of the cryptos that you know that there would be a trend reversal most of them are reliable coins from the  market as it is hard to trust from other tokens you may end up from worthless coins, risky but rewarding but it is not the way to rich very quickly unless you got some good capital to back your accumulation.

Investing in crypto is different with currency or commodities ( forex ), in forex you can do that but in crypto is impossible. Making money in this low market is difficult and seems impossible and even if I have the opportunity to make some profit then I will not proceed for it because I will choose high profit which is coming towards us. I think there is still that possibility, but only if you chance upon those rare and once-in-a-blue-moon projects that could still get some good reviews and support from people despite the reality that the market is not doing good. However, even if you chance upon those projects, you would still need to invest some patience, because for sure, not many people are willing to buy or sell, or ultimately transact coins, especially when the market is down because they know that they can't get anything good out of it. So, even if, technically, you can gain some profit, it might still take some time to gain a return.

USDT is the best to hold especially when we're on bear trend as we can easily got even a few profit and that actually works with me and for my friends as we doing this every time.
