Hackers are very much active to cheat the bounty hunters / ICOs .  Millions of fake twitter accounts have been infiltrated.  All efforts being done by hackers to spam the official twitter accounts of crypto business and impersonating crypto personalities.  More than 15000 exclusive hacker's accounts were traced by the agency involved in research.

Following is the link based on study and research by "Duo Security".  They took help of Application programming Interface to catch hackers from 88 million twitter accounts.

I'm glad this was discovered. I am so sick of seeing those awful attempts at scamming unsuspecting noobs on twitter. It has ran rampant these last few months. Nearly every tweet from an influential person had a reply with a fake account that looks just like the real one, saying "send 1 eth and I send 10 back!". Like, really? Not sure what has been taking Jack so long to shut these accounts down. I do know recently, anyone trying to create an account with elon musks name would be instabanned. Step in the right direction, but we seriously needs these scams to stop. They truly harm the community and the publics perception of crypto.

Such attacks and schemes are always present, even without cryptocurrencies. One should always check sources and watch out for potential scams that are linked through official accounts. It seems to me that social media sites are the hotbed for such confusion, knowing that more people are gullible and don't verify things compared to people in forums and mailing sites. Just learn to check tweets, follower count and see whether everything matches up to the official accounts and you're fine.

15000 hacker's account! This is really alarming. But I am happy that atlast they are identified. The twitter was flooded with such spams and finally we can hope that the situation will improve and cryptocurrency will get rid of hacking to a great extent.

This is a very good thing to hear. These fake accounts are very annoying and sometimes create confusions. These fake accounts are very harmful for the crypto community and also for the investors. I am very glad that it happened.

It is a bad news for cryptocurrency users,as the scammers are becoming stronger day by day. In a study it has been told that at least 15,000 bots are working to scam again.

I am pretty much happy to see this happened. You see a lot of people are faking it on twitter about cryptocurrency. They pretend to be the real one and through their activities they spoil the image of a person or organization.

As time goes by, these hackers will actually start to increase. What actually is scary that the number of botnet/hackers account found was just the once that are pure bot. Hybrid accounts that are half run by humans have been excluded. Hybrid accounts are more harder to spot and seems more legitimate. I'm very happy that these fake accounts are being rooted out, but if you're believing that there'll be no hacks, then you're being mistaken as I have personally seen people having 1000 accounts, and mind you these're not newbie accounts these're aged accounts and many of them have verification done.

I believe that people need to become smarter and not fall for such shady profiles, as buying followers is easy. People really need to do their due diligence, but no one likes to do it.

I would advise you to see if they have a blue tick or no, what is their engagement rate, is it bot comments i.e. same repeated comments, any one you know is following them and most importantly use google search. Always remember if it's to good to be true it's scam till proven otherwise.

This is a good news indeed. It was high time that these got caught and their actions were finally put to an end. Also people should not fall for posts on social media which tells them to send crypto and they'll get double back. These are just pure scams.
