Title: Psu advice needed How many cards can i run from this psu

Hi,
I have bought a server psu Dell 670 watt.
I need it to power 280x overclocked how manny cards can it run 2 (4 x pci-e)or 3 (6x pci-e) ??
The psu only powers the GPUs not the motherboard.

Find out how many amps the 12V rails has., and do the math from there. I would recommend more research as these setups must be connected in a specific manner to avoid frying components.

Thanks, i havent recived it yet, but i think i will recive it today. How many amps and watt dos a 280x use??

A 750W Dell server PSU can just about run 4x 290X, and can happily run 3x 290X.  Your 670W will run 4x 280X no problems at all.

Don't post if you don't know, this Dell 670 watt psu can only 2 run  2x r9 280x cards if you use it only for your gpu and not for your mobo plus gpu's.Also check how many 6+2 and 6 pins wires it have.
