I have bought a server psu Dell 670 watt. I need it to power 280x overclocked how manny cards can it run 2 (4 x pci-e)or 3 (6x pci-e) ?? The psu only powers the GPUs not the motherboard. I would recommend more research as these setups must be connected in a specific manner to avoid frying components.

Your 670W will run 4x 280X no problems at all.

Don't post if you don't know, this Dell 670 watt psu can only 2 run 2x r9 280x cards if you use it only for your gpu and not for your mobo plus gpu's.Also check how many 6+2 and 6 pins wires it have. |
