CGMiner implementation by Reorder


As from now Skeincoin mining is available through CGminer. It is the first version by Reorder and can be downloaded from its own repository in Github. Find the download link here (https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein)


For basic installation of the cgminer please proceed with the following batfile:

cgminer --skein -o poollinkwithport(i.e.  stratum+tcp://skc.coinmine.pl:6400) -u username.worker -p workerpassword

EDIT: updating with other's data

HD 5870 at 975 MHz, intensity 11: 114 Mhash/s

HD 7970 at 1050 MHz, intensity 11: 213 Mhash/s

GPU memory speeds have no noticeable effect so I keep them at the card minimum. Also higher intensities and different worksizes don't seem to make a difference with these cards. The same goes for faster PCIe links, 1x is plenty for these.

HD 5850 ~150 Mh/s, no flags, reorder's update of the python gpu miner (no cgminer!)

weird stuff:

- pool feeleep ~85 Mh/s

no skc donation needed.. mining skc for a while

I'm using Gigabyte's HD7970GE @ 1100Mhz engine, 1000Mhz memclock. Hashrate hovers around 220Mhash/s.
What's odd is that the dynamic intensity gets set to 5, while I get optimal results at around 11.

HD 5870 XT only 100 MH/s  ??? With cgminer and pocblm....

When I read HD 5850 ~150 MH´s then should i get more, or?

@chemi.. do u use reorder's opencl.. the one u need to compile first with correct difficulty mask?

XFX 6850 CGminer with standard clockspeeds : 90 mhs
XFX 6870 CGminer with standard clockspeeds : 70 mhs (?)

A bit strange this speed difference:P. Have not figured out yet why this is.

So, when i understand you right, then use i a to new version of OpenCL, or?

Yes that can be! I have the latest version of opencl. But the loud cgminer readme optimal version can´t i find. Shall a older version of openCL install?

I get 225 mhash/s on my R9 290 even on stock settings  - 947 Mhz
Also I only need to run Intensity 10
