How to trade for bitcoin when it is bearish? Is it fixated on the FA, or do you still use TA. Please enlighten me, thanks.

If you really wanted to trade then short it. However, its not advisable because bitcoin is not a pump-and-dump coin. Obviously, there must be something that trigger the panic again. If you are in for the long haul then why buy bitcoin at this price, its cheap and then just hold for another year and see how it goes.

A good trader can make profit trading bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general even if the markets are dropping, simply because cryptocurrencies don't crash straight down anyway. There are always small 1-3% price bumps whereas you can profit on, or you could do margin trading on sites like BitMEX. And yes, using TA.

I'm a trading newb though so I definitely wouldn't give advice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still the usual trade but somehow more risky because the most dominant action is the bearish.

It's difficult to monitor all day long the price swing just to make profit out of trades. In other words, if you are not an experienced trader better refrain from doing short trades as it might wrecked your trading funds. Instead, wait for at least well maintained price movement before executing short trades if you are really eager to do it.

FA or TA can be considered as reference but believed me, you can't get help by these all the time .

Thanks for your advice, I'm clear with bitmex. Nearly 40% of the location of the Trading Fund is affected by margin calls. Lm bitmex is a bot world, not for humans.

Unless you want to go the leverage way, there is no way you can trade the bearish normally, than to get into fiat, and buy back when the trend changes, based on any of the time frame you have decided to use, and by that you should obviously know how to analyse the market trend. I would not advise leverage trading for anyone who is just starting their career in trading, but if you insist, you can go ahead to start shorting some markets on bitmex as that can give you the opportunity to trade the bearish modes of the listed markets.

I think you don't have to trade it, just waiting in some situations may be even profitable compared to stress you handle and profit you make.

How to trade for bitcoin when it is bearish?

I think that if you don't know what to do, you better stay away.

I mean, OK, gather all the info you need, simulate what would you do (based on the advises) and do this only if you are 100% certain.
And until then, stick to what you know and trade only on bullish market. Its time will also come...

Don't trade against the market, move with it.

If you have been closely following the market (probably not) you would have seen that the only consistent aspect of this market is the constantly lower highs and lower lows. Purely based on this bearish downtrend pattern (if the downtrend continues), the lower low should be somewhere around $5000 and the next lower high should be somewhere around the $7000 level.

For the people thinking this is fud or I am trying to scare off noobs, seriously, get lost already.

bitcoin has not been bearish for a while now. price is more stable than anything else. and as you can see it keeps on coming back to $6k bottom no matter what they do to it with their manipulation and panic sells because it is a strong bottom.

the way you trade right now is either buy the dips and sell the highs after the recoveries which can take about a week or even shorter. for instance buying at $5880-$5950 today and selling it above $6k could have been a profitable day-trade.
OR you buy the dips as your long term investment in which case you place buy orders all around $6k to fill them up slowly.

Never believed in the TA mate because that is just not the right way to work with the crypto currency. I am 99% sure that only 1% of the TA's will be right or upto the mark and hence it is hard to find them. You better focus on the fundamentals. Right now the market isn't moving because of these kind of factor but more or less because of artificial deeds. I am sure that whales has got to do many things right now. They are manipulating this market because they want to get in and buy more than what they could afford because they know big pump is coming soon. Thats what it is all about, the bearish isn't true, its been done.

Maybe you should try Hodl if you have what it takes and that’s patience. Since the price is low according to many people, and there is this expectation from people that price will go up at any time, so why not just Hodl for a long time and see what happens if the price go up, maybe by the end of this month or so. Unless you prefer the short day trading, where you will trade with the daily up and downs and withdraw little profit.

You can use both. However, the market is really volatile and needs some correction sometime. I don't think we're entering bear market, this is just correction and profit-taking of some investors.

No more TA and FA is right at the moment. It's all the big players game and nobody mentioned we lose about 20BillionUSD on marketcap but when there is 5Billion that's coming in there were big news about that just to get small players enter the market. Here, for those who are telling you about their TA must have made atleast a bitcoin per trade, if not, they are not doing well.

Depends on your strategy, and if you don’t know how to trade well better to invest and hold on good coins. Trading in a bearish market is very risky, your time is important here and if you just missed one candle sign, for sure losses will appear to you. Trade with good coins and fast moving coins, but it will take a lot of risk so be ready.

Quite difficult, you can still make money shorting, taking positions in futures... but in a bear market like this trying to trade, if you haven't got much experience, is like they say "catching a falling knife".

Not the best moment to trade, so. I would rather buy and hodl for some time, like other members have suggested.

Never try to trade in the deep, there is big possibilities that you lose big amount and cry at the end. I think those are only for the rich people they can play with their money since they have a lot of money.

It seems to me that today it is very difficult to get trade with the current state of the market. In any case, today after another drop, the market has turned a little green, and even the etherium has shown a plus of 6% growth.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but every time I tried to trade my Bitcoin in this bear mode, I'm losing it so eventually I decided not to do nothing, in this period of time. Just hold and wait for it to recover.

To everyone rushing back into BTC from altcoins: What matters is that you learn why Bitcoin needs to be conservative in its development.

A rush back from altcoin to Bitcoin is wise only if there are big chances of earning in Bitcoin more than how much you earn in altcoin. The shift is accepted as long as you focus on the maximization of your profit. Besides, the Bitcoin trade when the market is bearish is not so profitable and hence it is preferred to hold the coins rather than trading. Moreover the bearish market does not last longer and ultimately recovers and move again to equilibrium.

There are only very few exchanges are providing such facility of trading "short" with bitcoin markets. If you are serious to find one then I guess you must check with few forex brokers who are also providing bitcoin trading. I read bitfinex is providing such type of trading but I checked and could not find any new thing to do so.

Bitcoin is in bearish mode, bitcoin is in bullish mode, bitcoin is very moody, I can almost say it is bipolar. One day it goes up and we are all happy and we want to see 50k and we want to get rich and be happy and have lambo and get a penthouse, the next day we see bitcoin going down, we start to talk about how it will go to 2k , how we will all be poor, how we will be going to get food from shelters and lose all we have trying to drop the averages. I think the volatility in bitcoins mood is actually affecting our mood as well, heavily, most of us here have their days happy or sad according to how bitcoin is going. Lately we have all been quite sad.

Are you a newbie in trading? If yes then I advise you not to trade at this market situation because its too risky specially if you don't know what trading is. Other's suggesting shorting bitcoin, but mostly its done by experience trader.

For me the best method at this bearish trend, is to do nothing and just continue to observe how the market moves. Right now its on a green zone and probably might be going on a $7K run. If I where you, I will just buy at every dip and accumulate.

Lol yeah i don't think you're the only one there dude. The movement in this bear market leans highly in the negative drop so you have to be really careful to even make a small profit. Some people have the skill to do that.

You can still scalp but only on bitcoins price not on most altcoins in the market as you can see most of them are on dump mode but instead on trading you can actually risk on buying cheap coins instead. For bitcoin price you can make shorts yet the price is still moving on considerable ranges but well this wont really be simple because emotions would be your primary enemy together with your lack of knowledge.

In bitcoin trading, fundamental analysis is not that effective compared with stock trading because bitcoin is very volatile and do not have companies to base with. Technical analysis which is pattern-based style is more applicable in this kind of trading. Just like today, the price of bitcoin is low, but most of the traders believe that it will rise in the future. That's the pattern and prediction of most traders. Better to buy the dips.

Bearish market is also way to make profits an experienced trader knows this

not recommended to avoid trading while in this bear trends, instead, learn from it

not every season is bull, bears are always there

instead of avoiding it, learn to tame the bear

Bearish market requires a whole lot of experience to survive through as a trader, both TA and FA all have great influence, but TA most times do not always go well with crypto, may work with forex, So always target any dip and ensure to sell at any convenient profit and reposition. Personally I have my take loss target as soon as the market goes against me, take the loss and wait for another good entry

A good trader will always make profit whether the market is bullish or bearish based on both FA and TA of course the major mover of price is FA and the ability of a trader to analyze and interprets the details of the news in relation to the price movement based on TA and Price Action will results to making profits.

On bearish trend is more risky to trade crypto so its better sell  Bitcoin to fiat and put money in others asset while waiting for bottom price of Bitcoin, we should be have difersify risk and understanding the price action of Bitcoin to make more profit and to avoid loss. Since tradeable on the exchange the price of Bitcoin was going up and down with big percentase so we should be know more when best times to buy and sell it.

When it bitcoin bearish market time the best way to keep profit your intact is by swapping your coin for USDT,DAI or TUSD and when the market is not well stable like this current market the best way to analysis is using both FA and TA or you can choose to use price alert abd trading not.

well for me it doesnt matter if the crypto is having bearish trend or the bull trend. I mean why it should matter to anyone at all? There will always be some ups and downs in the crypto world and you should be enjoying the benefits of the same all the time. For example, I will always go and buy more and more crypto currencies when the market is in bear trend. What I keep in the mind at this point ? I just keep in mind that the crypto currencies will be coming back to the normal rates or even better than the last exit and thus might just give away whooping prices to us! So just relax in your chair or get some fresh air until the time it recovers back.  ;)

I don't think bitcoin is good to be traded at all when the market is bearish though. You see, regardless of what ta you're using, it's likely that declines are more often than recoveries so it would be extremely difficult to time your trades. Much much safer to just hold in a market like this.

If using the exchange for trade then i think you wont get much in P2P trading, you have to trade in an exchange. You can trade in bearish mode like if anyone have been holding the coins then we can sell them and buy back in low, so this way bearish trading can be done

Bitcoin is a good to invest on long term so we should buy bearish market, obviously it will be a good job in future earning. But each exchanges are simultaneously varied in every minute so we should carefully choose the best platform. Holding is the good to protect our investment but if we need more profit in future we will buy more Bitcoin in bearish trend.

I think you are not a full-time trader, then you should avoid trading with bitcoin in this bearish situation. You may try with altcoins in short trade! Everyone can't trade with bitcoin, you may bitcoin for a long time hold purpose. If you can trade with altcoins then you will trade with bitcoin. So, try to learn to trade with altcoins first. This is my suggestion for you.

Bitcoin trend! Oh yes, this is the main subject but it shouldn't! Let's see why: Today's trend remains bearish. It is at least what the experts announce and what your own research will show you. But! Small profit is always the key to bearish markets and never to look for something terribly big which is certainly where some people tend to make mistakes. Unless you are clear the market is switching trends, then you should not even bother trying to see how you can get something substantial from a trade.

In fact, some traders usually stay clear of the market completely so as not to end up being a victim of the bear actions. Trading in a bearish condition, requires a lot of discipline and experience and without it, you will not be able to get something tangible.

The whole thing at the end of it all, certainly balls down on the skills the trader has to be able to take advantage of the market fluctuations. Now, there are conditions in the market such as uptrend when a person can end up calling a price and then it gets right, but in this case where we have a bear trend, the market tends to move downward faster and in this case, any trader should always know to have a great knowledge to trading such a market or staying away from it.
