I have read an article that says HITBTC was a scam. Is it true? ???

I have heard a lot of bad things about it, but I do not know the scam

I encounter lot of bad experienced there but I still won't say that hitbtc is a scam because I had traded there many times and got no problem encounter. The problem in hitbtc is that they're prone in hacking, before I didn't put the 2fa security and everyday I got a notification the I have successfully log in but i didn't do it. Hitbtc is not a scam it is rather a hacker's target. Be careful.  

It seems like it's a hoax, maybe someone who doesn't like hitbtc wants to drop it seems like it's impossible if someone inside has done something like that because I've been exchanging there for 2 years and never got a serious problem.

I don't know but I've used HitBTC so many times before but everything was fine for me. I know that HitBTC is not a good exchange with so many issues need to solve but I don't think it's a scam exchange :). Maybe it's not fault of HitBTC, maybe it's just fault of customer when they wanna use HitBTC without reading anything about this exchange :)

Hitbtc is not a really good exchange, but it will not scam. I use this exchange for a long time, and have not encountered any problems. Even Hitbtc is a dream exchange for altcoin to be created just for pump and pump.

Unfortunately, seems true. I have read several bad stories about hitbtc exchanges and it seems impossible that those people who said so are just making stories to ruin the image of the exchanges. I already come to a conclusion that I should stay away from hitbtc even if I have tried trading on their exchanges that went well. Maybe I was lucky that time that I was not become their victim. If HITBTC addresses this issue immediately it wouldn't have gone this far. They just simply say they managed to resolve my problem but it takes months and still unresolved.

As exchange HitBTC is not the best one, but I never had problems with, always received mine from them.

I dont know. I dont have that amount of cash or crypto like eth or btc to check it by myself. And I havent heard of things like this.

I've used HITBtc personally for some time and so many times just now. But I didn't think and never heard of something like a scam from me and my friends who uses it. But I only use it to sell coins that are not listed on any exchanges and HitBTC sometimes lists these coins but fortunately I was able to deposit and withdraw successfully all this time so maybe I was just pretty lucky.

HitBTC is not a scam,But highest fee exchange is HitBTC. They are very unpleasant with their fees  >:(

To judge by some incomprehensible story is stupid.But in fact, there are already a large number of lawsuits against them, personally I had no problems with this exchange.

I dont think so that hitbtc can be a scam, there are so many rumors about many exchanges, but i think that there are some different issues with different peoples related to exchange some of them are making negative impact regarding exchange because of some revenge. so my account on hitbtc is working fine and i have no issue with this exchange nor my friends having issue with this.

I have experience a slow and embarassed trading in "hitbtc". But i dont think this exchange is a scam! Sometimes we are experiencing slow and and sometimes a maintenance transaction. But for me i dont think hitbtc is a scam.

HitBTC get high fees but it is not scam. If you don't want to trade altcoins with high comissions just don't use hitbtc

Of course, they have wild commissions, but personally I never had any problems with the exchange on this exchange. But exceptions can always be. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I don't believe that hitbtc is a scam, I think it's just a negative issue or just a misunderstanding. Hitbtc isn't a good exchange, but hitbtc isn't a fraud either, I'm also a long time hitbtc user but I've never had a problem so far even though sometimes there are also coins that suddenly disappear in the market, we must be smart to choose the right coin to invest in the market.

During the time that my account was hacked, they locked my funds for 72 hours. I filed a ticket to retrieve my account, and when I finally got in, I found out that even I was restricted to withdraw my fund because they suspect hacking, and I'm thankful for that. If not for this policy of theirs, my funds would have gone like a bubble just like what happened with my funds in my mobile wallet. Their technical support is also nice and accommodating. They assisted me until I have secured my account. Conclusively, HitBTC is just fine with me, and I'm satisfied with their service.

I have been using this exchange for a long time and I have never had problems. Speed of solving issues, the support team does not suit me but there is exchange worse. In all other respects I do not complain about this exchange. But I never keep a large number of coins on one exchange.

It is really important news for all crypto lovers because I was seeing so many scams reported against hitbtc now days I sure I will move my alt coins to same other exchange like polo or bitterx.

as long as i know, i have been using Hitbtc for a very long time now they haven't failed me nor hold any of transactions to me is the best trading platform i ever traded.

I think this article is just a matter of viewpoint. I and hundreds people are trading on this exchange and I feel it safety and easy to use. So I think there isn't anything to worry about it.

I do not think HitBTC is a fraud, I see many transactions and sometimes I also participate in transactions on that floor. Only higher fees than the other trading exhange floors make me do not like.

We often see news about hacking on the trading platform, but a good trading platform, even if they are attacked, they will compensate the victim!

Btc was start in 2009. From 2009 expert was criticize it and call it scam. But truth is it continuesly showing the growth. And in 2017 they regret and say why they miss the chance to buy. If you see history every good invention has more criticizers than followers. Don't hear waste. Use your own mind.

I don't know if this article is real or not but I don't think a big exchange like HitBTC is a scam exchange :). If it's a scam exchange so no new altcoin will wanna be listed on this exchange but the fact is not like that. I've used HitBTC to trade for long time and everything is still fine for me.

And this looks like to be a form of stupidity by the user, he had no 2Fa, he left his account unsecured.

Few will say that hitbtc isn't a scam and they have been using it without any problem. I haven't used it because of those reviews that are very discouraging so if you think that they aren't trustworthy with their exchange just don't use them and find a better exchange that has your coins listed.

Are you kidding me if you say HitBtc is a scam? I have withdrawn and deposited some of my assets there, so far HitBtc is still active and there are many exchanges token there.

As long as I use hitbtc there is no problem to deposit and withdraw. the most important thing is not to keep all your assets in the exchanger. Because it can be a time of scam.

I have traded hitbtc many times although it has a problem we cannot say it is a scam. My deposits and withdrawal are fine it is successful. I did not encounter any problem so make the time to search this site first before making a judgement.

after I read that the trader does not use 2-FA-enabled security to protect HitBTC accounts so that it is easy for hackers to take over accounts and steal 10 BTC, this is not a scam but more precisely this is the negligence of users and hacking crime because as long as I use HitBTC it is not problem,

HitBTC is not a scam, but really shady. I would not use it if not needed.
They use low countermeasures against hacking, hard to get your money out of it with enormous fees.

Not sure if it's a scam exchange. Their charges are high and heard the bots are trading in the exchanges.  I prefer binance and kucoin over Hitbtc. Htibtc is slow and charges are insane.

I don't think a big exchange like HitBTC will destroy their exchange just because of 10BTC while they can earn much more than that from HitBTC users everyday :). I don't see any reason for this case and for me, I'm also a HitBTC user but I don't see anything weird from this exchange. I don't trust this article :).

The man transferred a large amount to the exchange, but did not include 2-fa. It hurts. I do not know who is to blame in that situation, but everyone who read this article should make a lesson for himself

I think so it is not because it is well reputed cryptocurrency exchange company so there is no chance of scam in the hitbtc...........

I've been using this exchange for almost one year and I never had a problems using this exchange because it is very friendly user and have a smooth transaction I prefer when using this exchange don't put your funds just withdraw it after selling any of your tokens for you to avoid scam.

No is a scam, is a real and consolidated exchange, There are various rumors of vulnerabilities, but this type of companies invest a large part of their capital in security, it is difficult to hack an exchange, instead they hack you and your credentials if possible, I recommend activating the F2A. If talking about HITBTC, I became reminded of the incident that occurred when the AMM token was listed in that exchange. Many traders (include me) have lost money and HITBTC does not provide a refund. Since then I stay away from that damn exchange and will never use it again.

HitBTC is not really a good exchange, and I stopped using it a long time ago. There are better exchanges and way cheaper than what hitbtc charges for withdrawal. At least for now it is not yet a scam exchange. But those who uses exchanges just make sure you do not store your crypto in it.

Not a shocking thing for someone to react so fast and claiming things directly which I do see a normal thing but every exchange do have an issue. Hitbtc is one of the most popular exchangers and issues would be always there and having any delays doesn't signify that it is already considered as scam. Just give them sometime to fix it and this will change your views as well.

It was yesterday I got to know HITBTC has started far back as 2013 and resident in the USA. First, residing in the USA gives me a level of confidence that it cant go free if it was alleged of scam and 5 years of trackrecord as an exchange is not a joke. How many exchanges can survive it? Though it has not been a large volume trade exchange but it has been consistent. Lately it has been on the top 5 exchanges that trade large volume bitcoin

It is not a scam but I don't like it. They have different problems but they don't fix them even after my tickets to support!
For example - it was impossible to send NXT from this exchange because there was not one important field (message) in their interface.

Look at Hitbtc twitter. There are many people complaining that they lost the token and Bitcoin. And that assertion is a scam exchange, How do their tokens are lost when they have the most secure account?

As I now this exchange has a lot of problems and so many reports in this forum :). But seem like HitBTC is still a good exchange at the moment cause number of user on this exchange is still really high and so many new cryptocurrencies still wanna be listed on HitBTC :). I think HitBTC will not risk their exchange just because of a small amount of BTC like that.

HitBTC is not a scam I haven't see anyone complain of HitBTC that is where I do trade I keep my coin on the exchange till am able to withdraw it and noting has been happened to it. But if you said the charges is high I will accept that.

Hitbtc is not a scam ,the only problem on the exchange is they always having a maintenance , and some of the coins are affected ,like cannot be traded , cant transfer and etc.

hitbtc is one of the huge volume tradeable exchange, and you can protect your acc with authenticator.

i think hitbtc is normal exchange, but i dont like 10 coin and 100 coin sell-buy sistem, becouse when you have 16 token you can sell only 10 and cant sell and withdraw 6 token

Maybe it deceives some customers, but we have no way to prove that it is true, even though I have seen a lot about it.
HitBTC rumors!

I'm user of HitBTC and i have a few assets on there. I don't have problem till now, deposite and withdraw very fast, and i love security of that exchange like whitelist address, etc. I have used many exchanger till now but HitBTC given best experienced for me. I just read that article, I think his account has hacked because Lament disable 2FA Verification, so maybe very easy for hacker to broke that and hitbtc can't help him because the hacker has enable 2FA. It's like Lament has bad luck. So for all people who used exchanger hitbtc or etc, dont forget to follow securities of that exchange, feels complicated but that's for you too ;)

I do not think that it is mosheyniki, each exchange has its own problems and quirks, where it was traded, and everything was met so this sudden delisting coins without warning, just bought coins from them out of trading, how sad that was...

I've heard a lot about this exchange in particular about the fact that there are big fees for transactions, but I doubt that this is a scam, because such large exchanges should be carefully checked and protected .. In any case, everything seems so ..

I trade on the HitBTC exchange and there is no problem making withdrawals, almost 2 months my coins are there, everything is safe.
I cannot say HitBTC is a scam because I have no problems with withdrawals and coins are lost there. The security of your account when trading is the most important, always follow the security procedures on the exchange.

That's actually possible. If those major exchange wanted small exchanges gone, they could actually do this. But, I've had good trades before on Hitbtc, (back when Binance is not the top of the food chain) and I have never lost a coin there. Withdrawals are actually fast, (sometimes slow but that depends on the network). Best thing to do to avoid losing any penny is to always activate 2FA Authentication. If PIN can also be activated, then activate it. Do all means to secure your account and if even after all that security and your assets were still stolen, then I guess that's the time we can call any exchange a scam.

Why is it that so many articles and people lamenting about Hibtc,  I think their team needs to do more in improving in their aspect,  though I don't use it again due to the  review that I've been reading about them,  I know about the crazy fee that they do charge which is not a good thing,  I'm still surprised about how they still have such huge daily trading volumes

Can you provide detailed evidence of the number of BTCs that you have lost?  Their website has said they have received, you can capture your trading history image, people will have more information about the status of Hitbtc.

This exchange don't scam but support very low

Hitbtc is one of the first and oldest exchange that I used. I still have a lot of altcoins sitting there and even I rarely check it, it is always there. I am one of the proof that they are not a scam and I am still going to continue to use it.

in my opinion HitBTC is one of the big exchanges and with so many people talking negatively about this exchange. but personally I cannot conclude that HitBTC is a scam because I have been trading very often in it and so far I have never had a problem with HitBTC.

I haven't used hitbtc and I'm hearing positive and negative comments as well. If in the future I'll start using them, I'll look onto those positive comments but will perhaps consider those negative comments. But a scam won't pay you and will just rip off your money but in their case, there are traders who are happily cashing out their coins there.

About three weeks ago, my mentor and I just got a small talk when we accidentally met in the school. After that, I haven't notciced that our conversation went to altcoin trading and then I suddenly ask him a question. I ask about the exchange he is using right now (because I'm also planning to try trading) and he said Hitbtc. I was a little bit shocked after I hear what he said ecause I thought it was a scam based on the rumors around. But then, he contradict and said that he only experience slow transactions sometimes (for about less than a week AFAIR), nothing more aside from that. He emphasized that the rumors are just fake news.

HitBTC is not a scam, but a very, VERY shady exchange. I would not touch HitBTC if not necessary.
Lots of hacks happen because of the lack of countermeasures of hitBTC.

That will never happen. Hitbtc is one of the top exchange market in the world.  Hitbtc is prone from hacking  because  hackers  believe that every  users there have a great volume  of token. Maybe that is the reason why you just said hitbtc is a Scam.  Hitbtc is also has a great volume of trading I can say that Hitbtc ranked at 6 in the most top exchange. Never believe in fake news. Many of the members here Surely use Hitbtc as their trading platform and they can defend it base in their experienced.

I read a lots of articles about it but I didn't agree to it because I've traded here a lots of time.. for me the reason behind this issue is because there are a lots of trader involve in hitbtc and there are a lots of token here that's why it is prone to scam.. but I don't thing hitbtc itself is scam...

I can't say hitbtc is a scam, I only have a problem with it, I did PAT trading on HITBTC but after making several transactions my PAT token suddenly disappeared. and I didn't find it even though I had seen the transaction, I was confused about how I complained about this problem, I had left it for two months

Some traders are still using this exchange so this mean that this exchange is not a scam. But yeah, the fees are high and this exchange is consist of poor support team. I rarely use this exchange, I just trade tokens here to take profit from my bounty works this is just a use of hitbtc exchange for me.

Long disappointed in this exchanger ,the support responds for a long time,the conclusion does not work at all ,and the markets are working alone bots ,it is not possible to put your order,my opinion bypass this exchanger side.

HitBtc is very good to exchange which we cannot able to see anybody telling HitBtc as a scam. Their transaction fees are very high which they are charging for depositing the amount also and it makes some people more frustrating about the exchanges.

I don't like trading at HitBTC but it's not a scam exchange. I have traded a few times and everything is fine, I do not like it because many of the coins listed on it are all downright pathetic.

It seems true but it is not determined yet that it is a scam or they are just facing many major issues about they're exchange it's best to avoid this exchange for now and look for other legit exchange. Maybe hacked or pretends to be hacked in the future.
Just avoid this exchange to avoid problems or difficulties.

I think maybe it's just a fraudulent news and try to make traders panic and you should not be easily affected by information like that, it would be nice you can analyze more sharply first.

Different trading platforms may have different problems, but the focus is on whether these trading platforms are willing to help customers solve problems!

Htbtc is not a scam but it's not the best exchange. I used Hitbtc but there was pretty high fees. Maybe It's different now. Maybe now something has changed. Used it few months ago.

I don't like to trade there as well and as much as possible I've been staying away to hitbtc because of so many problems that I've been reading about it.

Yes they aren't the best but there are people who have been trading there with no problems. And if one isn't comfortable using them then don't push yourself towards it but if you are want to try it out, trade only with the affordable amount of coins.

Have been a HitBTC user for a very long time now and really never had any problems sending/receiving crypto using their wallets.

I can remember that they had a little bit weird system for selling your coins though.

no hitbtc is not a scam that's a hoax I'm trading on hitbtc since 2017 there's no problem and the service is pretty good you have to ask answer admin hitbtc in telegram don't spread hoaxes many hackers are targeting big exchange like hitbtc you have to be careful and don't spread hoax.

I can't say directly SCAM but i had couple bad experience on hitbtc such transfer problems or long time wait for support answer etc, that is why i dont use it anymore and dont suggest it to my friends.

It's not scam per se - they're not scamming all users, that's for sure.
But on every Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies related sites and discussion boards you'll find comments from users who had bad experience them and many call them scammers. So my advice would be to stay away from them. I once had a chance to earn 20-30% by using this exchange but decided not to risk and passed this opportunity.

If there is a choice, use other exchanges.

I have also heard alot of thing about Hitbtc in the past. I have few coins of an altcoin, Hitbtc listed it and that altcoin getting volume from Hitbtc, but I don't know what happend from Hitbtc they de-list the token. Few users said it was because of John McAfee, as he support that coin and Hitbtc doesn't like John as he was exposing Hitbtc for the scam. However, I never use Hitbtc, and don't want to use it in the future. 

It's best to not use any other exchange than Binance or Bittrex. I have regretted my decisions.

HitBTC is a legit exchange alto they are bad at everything , UI Etc and their Security sucks. you can get hacked there easily without you even noticing . they have the most bad / worst security for an exchange even tho the volume is good i advice is buy and take it out afterwards no need to stock pile your alt coins there cause it will just get hacked

    I don't think so how true is it becaus i use hitBTC to trade my coins and so far so good in terms of deposit and withrawal. The only problem is a very high transaction fee and you can't buy or sell below or above 100. They round of amount to sell or if you want ro buy.

Hitbtc really has a lot of bad review which has made me distant from the exchange but there are times which I am forced to use it due to tokens only listed there... So far I haven't had any issue or problem with them after usage. I can't really tell of they are scam or not, but I have had a really nice experience with them

Well, I used this exchange once it was good and I don't think it is a scam however the problem is their security, few days ago I received an email stating that my account was logged in 4 times in 4 different countries and my email was not hacked so I think the problem is in their end. It is an ok exchange. definetely not a scam. just be careful of their pumps. they often pump useless shitcoins or scams (centra, envion, titanium).
and always check if withdrawal is open before buying any coin on there

There are a lot of improvements Hitbtc should do on their platform to attract more users. I, personally have used Hitbtc and seem not contented with their platform but i think that Hitbtc is not a scam. It has been operating for years now, if it is a scam then it should have been down by now.

Had no problem with hitbtc they are very reliable and always got my withdrawal in time no delay and no issue whatsoever I consider their platform easy to navigate and with always with a good volume, only issue I had is they only accept coins traded by bunch like in hundreds

Yeah as far as I know hitbtc had the largest coin listing and it's funny that OP easily believe from what he read in the article.
He should try it to see it for his self. I've been using hitbtc and for the record everything went well. What I just hated is the flat rate of 0.001btc that really leaves my wallet empty.

Hitbtc is a bit of a troubled exchange. They are constantly maintenance for the wallet and they are very bad about the support. Your problems can remain unsolvable for months.

I had some troubles with hitbtc recently. Unironically that was a delay of transferring my btc from main acc to trading acc. Usually it lasts couple seconds but that time it lasted about 5 minutes and to be fair I was kinda scared ;D Even tho I have been using hitbtc from time to time for 1+ year without major problems

Hitbtc is a good exchange, i never had any problems trading on thier site before. I dont know if there exchange is still just like before.

it seems that it is not done by their side (hit Btc), it might be done by another party who wants the Btc Hit to no longer run and is no longer entrusted. in my opinion it is an issue developed by the opposing party. I hope that it is not information that can be trusted.

The worst thing that makes me hated this exchange is their fees for withdrawal! Depositing Bitcoin also charging fees, it wasn't user-friendly.
