I think it would be great when asking the community for various opinions, polls could be avaiable from higher ranks for example to avoid spamming them. Ther is already poll (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=post;board=24.0;poll) option. Do you want it disable for lower rank ? If yes then why ? I didn't noticed people spaming by create poll. Or if you don't know about here is poll option from beginning than locked the thread from lower left. I've also had a desire for this in the past, and as a result of not being able to add polls to already started topics, nonnakip developed a polling system for NastyFans instead. Actually, there's an option for adding polls to "already started threads":- It's located on bottom right corner of each thread (reply | unwatch | notify | add poll | print), for OP only.
