Now if you borrow bitcoin, trade for fiat cash (like USD), and then pay back the same amount of bitcoin later, that would be shorting as well. Title: Re: Panic selling driving the prices down. It's not for the faint of heart but if look around here you can find a few sites where it is practiced.
