Title: Getting RSS from Bitcointalk Google custom search
Post by: LeGaulois on August 19, 2018, 09:31:56 PM
I'm looking to get an RSS from the google custom search of Bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search

For example https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=016660200577587308545%3Aesf40ml9aag&ie=UTF-8&q=&sa=Google+search#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Bitcointalk&gsc.sort=

I tried to add for example /?output=rss at the end of the URLbut it doesn't work. It was possible before using yahoo pipe but the site closed long ago

Does anyone know if this is possible?

(016660200577587308545 is the Bitcointalk ID)

I seem to remember that the bitcointalk rss service was taken down by Theymos as a result of a DDoS attack and I'm not sure it's been reinstated since, but I might be wrong.

Edit, yes: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml

Ah so it's google's rss you wanted to use. I thought you meant you were trying to acces bitcointalk's rss through google.

Is it not still using bitcointalk's rss resources or is it just scraping the robot.txt (the description)?
