Title: *BUSINESS* Pocket Artillery Mini Cannons - Stainless Steel / Anodized Aluminum
Post by: pocketartillery on October 21, 2011, 11:32:44 PM
While this is still a new account I thought I would post in here first.

Come and check out the new product that we are launching and tell us what you think... BITCOINS ACCEPTED!

While the website still has some kinks to work out we think that the couple videos that are posted will give you an idea of what these mini cannons are capable of.  Be sure to have your speakers or headphones on.

http://www.pocketartillery.com

Is there a better way to accept Bitcoins then emailing us for the deposit address and sending another email with shipping and color choice selections?  We want to make this as painless as possible for everyone.

Also is there a master list of Bitcoin accepting sites that we can be added to?

Thanks for your time!

Awsome,
Thanks for sharing and good luck.

Do you make these yourself?
Could you CNC a Bitcoin symbol?

Will you offer fuse?

Yes we make them in our small machine shop.  We have a CNC mill and lathe.

It would probably be best to have the BTC symbol laser etched for the best overall look.
We could do a run of those at no additional cost if we had enough people that wanted them.

We are planning on selling fuses, however they would have to be shipped via Ground due to them being flammable.

YES YES YES. I want one, but with a bitcoin symbol!
Please make the one with a bitcoin symbol only purchasable in bitcoins to help the community.

There's nothing more cool that showing stuff to my friends and to tell them the only way to get it is with bitcoins.

I will get it priced out tomorrow for the laser etching and see what we can do.  If enough people want to buy with Bitcoins maybe we can do a discount for a 'Bitcoin Group Buy'.

Hi pocketartillery,

Can you make targets with laser etched currency symbols (dollar, euro, pound, etc) and sell a Bitcoin laser etched canon set with a few targets?

I sure would like to practice shooting down the fiat currencies.

You should add your website to the trade wiki at:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade

What kind of projectile does it fire?  How far does it go?  How much black powder do you load it with? How much are they? Can you screw it down to 'lock' the angle or does the angle shift as it fires? How heavy is it? (All this info would be great to put on your website)

Very cool!

It fires standard .177 BBs.  We have test fired it at over 100 yards.  Fill it up to the top, lightly pack it and that's it.  They are $29 (about 12 bitcoins at present) shipped in your choice of anodized colors and hardware finishes.  There is one knob to adjust the angle and the other does lock it in place.  I haven't weighed and will on a postage scale tomorrow but it is heavier than it looks, even with the aluminum base.

I will be updating the website with the above info as well as an intro video shortly.  Thanks for your support!

Any suggestions on what category it should be under...as it is definitely not a toy but it isnt a firearm either.  What about a new category like 'recreation' or sports'?

If we can get 100 people in a group buy to want the Bitcoin version we can do them at $24 with the laser etched BTC logo.

Although it is always best to check YOUR local and state laws to be 100% sure, that there isn't something out of the ordinary.

Black powder, muzzleloading devices are 100% legal to own an fire in the USA without a permit, at least on a federal level.

if its heavy look into usps priority flat rate shipping.  "if it fits it ships"  Lots of folks ship ammo in them boxes.

These as a "collectible" item are unrestricted at the state level as well(so don't ship them with powder or amo and call it a desk toy you're all set)

This is awesome. I will have to check if there are any laws against these here, I wouldnt want to pay for it and have it seized by customs.

Would you ship to Europe?

Sure we would be happy to ship to Europe.  Please check local laws to be sure that this is legal for you to own and fire.

Heh heh, the YouTube videos of those things in action are hilarious.
Might get me a couple for Christmas - as long as our local commie firearm regulations don't prohibit such toys, that is :<

What kind of propellant can you use with them? Can you use smokeless powder from shotshells?

Neat idea, I might pick up a couple!
