Title: [AUCTION] RAVENBIT Physical Bitcoin -- Coin #2
Post by: mrbrt on March 01, 2014, 05:21:24 AM
You are bidding on Coin #0002 (#2) of the first batch of Ravenbit physical bitcoins. The reverse is stamped with #0002.

This is a DIY physical bitcoin, which means it does not come loaded with bitcoin and you generate your own wallet address. I supply the coin, holograms, and labels you need to do so. Additionally, each coin comes with a custom velvet pouch, display stand, and direct fit protective capsule. Please take a look at the bitcointalk thread listed above or ravenbit.com for pictures and more details.

bitcointalk thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=382915.0)
ravenbit.com (http://ravenbit.com)

50% of the total sale will will be donated to the Liberty Humane Society (http://www.libertyhumane.org/) animal shelter located in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. At the moment they do not accept bitcoin donations, but I am working on it. If you would like to make a donation the shelter accepts credit card donations (http://www.libertyhumane.org/donate.php), and the shelter also has an Amazon wish list. Purchases made on Amazon will ship directly to the shelter.

Starting bid/Bidding rules
0.10BTC with bid increments of 0.01BTC

To discourage sniping, the auction will be extended 15 minutes after the last placed bid. For example if a bid is placed at 2:55am, March 5 (5 mins before completion of auction) the auction will be extended to 3:10am. If another bid is then placed before 3:10am the auction will be extended another 15 mins from the time of the last placed bid, continuing in this manner indefinitely.

Shipping
Shipping worldwide is a flat rate of 0.01BTC. This will be added on top of the winning bid.

End date and time
Wednesday, March 5 at 3:00am GMT (Tuesday, March 4 @ 10:00pm EST; 7:00pm PST)

Payment methods
Bitcoin only
To ensure security, I will email the winner a Coinbase invoice from Ravenbit LLC.

Coin #46, loaded with 1 BTC, sold for $710 on ebay the other day. Considering the fluctuations in the btc price, it works out to be $100 - $150 for the coin unfunded.

It's a DIY coin. Which means you have to load it yourself. Reading is your best friend ;)

I assembled 5 of these coins myself and very well know how it works. :-)

Also the auction (I'm talking about the eBay auction btw!) clearly says it is loaded.

What I'm saying is that it seems quite difficult for the (ebay!) buyer to verify basically anything...

Yeah it is hard for the buyer to verify anything on there.. I didn't even realize the public key wasn't on the coin! Anyway, this isn't my ebay auction.. I was just excited to see one of my coins listed by someone other than myself.

And, bitcoininfo.. I think nicolas was just making light of someone else's sloppy work..  he knows how the coin works  8)
