Ok.

3.4 % is too small compare to 50% of Auroracoin. And it's highly impossible to distribute those 50% premine to all icelandic people. ;D

Hello CryptoMiners!!

We have just setup a new pool! Tested it and it's running sound, the pool is hosted under the CryptoTrain suite of pools.
The current global hash rate for Dokdocoin is relatively small, with a difficulty that is currently under 1(this is soon to rise substantially) What this means, is that even if you have a low hash rate and cannot keep up with the bigger coins, such as dogecoin, litecoin. You will be able to keep up with this coin and be able to turn your effort’s into a reward.
It most definitely would be a valuable investment making some quick easy coins now and selling later for a higher price!
This is an opportunity toget an early head start on a new and rapidly expanding crypto currency before it becomes dominated by the high powered scrypt miners.
This pool is currently one of the 3 recognised pools of Dokdocoin and will be continuing to grow and expand into additional cryptocoin’s very rapidly.

Website:  http://dokdo.cryptotrain.net/
Only 1% Fee!, Vardiff, Stratum-Server, PROP, manual and auto payouts!
MPOS is the web interface being used for all of this.

Server Location is in Australia, with a 100mbit connection, that has a 2 factor DDoS proof setup and is hosted on a 100% uptime VPS Network, There are plans to add additional server’s in USA and Europe for lower stratum latency across the world.

Why Dokdocoin?

  • Dokdocoin is the first Cryptocurrency in South Korea! - Potential Major Alliances with South Korean Enterprises.
  • Dokdocoin provide’s a high level of usability. You can easily mine, trade, store value over a peer-to-peer network.
  • Based on Bitcoin and Litecoin, Dokdocoin also has up-to-date safety and reliability.
  • Contribution to society is an important mission of Dokdocoin. Dokdocoin are planning fundraising and donation to charity for the interest of the public.
  • South-Korea is world-class leading in technical and economical development
  • Soon to be included on the major crypto currency trading websites (cryptsy, scifi-ex, mintpal, cryptorush)

Dokdocoin Specifications:

  • Algorithm: Scrypt
  • Block Target: 60 seconds
  • Block Reward: 100 coins per block (halves every 250,000 blocks)
  • Max Supply: 50,000,000 total coins

Hi, guys!

We are IndiaMikeZulu, an Australian hobby business that develops cryptocurrencies commercially.

We are experimenting with a thing we call 'X-wipping.' It means that someone with Dokdocoin swaps a little coin for, say, Dogecoin or Litecoin. We do it ON TRUST: first I send you a little Doge. You send me a little Dokdo.

Are there South Koreans living in Western Australia? We run a 'micro coin-exchange.' And you can buy coin from us via Internet-banking transfers.

We don't care that much about the money. We like cryptos. (Mostly Nxt, Franko, Doge, and Bitcoin.)

You can leave us a message at m.j.blair.60 at gmail dot com or at indiamikezulu dot com dot au.

Do you have an android wallet? or only desktop computer wallet? What exchanges are you listed on?

I think a South Korean coin is a good idea: South Koreans (I taught them when I was an English teacher) are good with technology, smart, and disciplined.

I can see that the domain is registered in Korea, but the site has no Korean. That's just fucking bizarre, and very "unKorean". I get the whole Dokdo thing, but if this were a serious coin, it would be primarily targeted at Koreans.

IMO this kind of coin is rare, not a cheap pump and dump, real effort from the developers, I know South Korea society is very insular so this coin can get huge on its own merits.

this one isnt rare mate... not with a blockreward of 100 coins... way too much coins per block ;)

gonna give this a try though... :D

I gotta use my trader's Dokdo wallet 'cause I keep my coins on an android, and Dokdo hasn't an android wallet yet.

But right now, does anyone wanna make an offer: how many Dokdos for one Litecoin?

If you guys want, we'll start trading the pair LTC/Dokdo on our 'Project' micro bourse -- indiamikezulu.com.au

Nekomata // Thank you very much! We will never forget you. We need more time and efforts to be accepted by Koreans.
honestly, still many Koreans think 'Bitcoin' is tulip bubble or Ponzi Scheme. We want to change people and let
them know about cryptocurrency more. After that, Dokdocoin will be in a better state than now. We will do that.
                   Thanks again!

-> to others about english only website : yes, some koreans cant read english well, but clearly we learn english in public education.
(hey i'm also korean  :D) but we will make korean website soon for the spread.

Thanks to you all!  ;)

Low low volume so far; but I am in contact with the developers, and the bids for the coin have risen already.

 Hi all, I'm dev.

we are like turtles. and South Korea is desert of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin? That's huge scam in South Korea!  :P

So, bad thing is that South Koreans don't like cryptocurrency.

Good thing is that it's like the galapagos island. if we succeed, it will be a main cryptocurrency in korea.

If you understand this and agree, mine. if you can't wait spreading, you may leave.

(We are happy enough because now you know 'Dokdo island' that's one of our goals. ;) )

 and we are still working.

 Ongoing things

 - MPOS pool Korean translation(see at http://pool.dokdocoin.org )

 - making a mining guide (many koreans dont know how to mine!!)

 - icurrex exchange voting (It will lunch in 3weeks. brand-new international exchange https://www.icurrex.com/coin_poll )

 - Android wallet <-- it's important. koreans are addicted to smartphone.
(maybe we must depend on litecoin opensource wallet for the release. customized thing is taking too much time :-[ )

 - contacting korean online shopping mall (we know, without usage it's just a code.)

  :D thanks.

Nekomata // Hello! high performance scrypt ASICs will come soon.
maybe we need more time to hardfork to new algo. so that we wil give short chance for ASIC miners.
I have interest in groestl but still researching. Thanks for your inform!  :D

"so that we wil give short chance for ASIC miners." makes sense, engaged mining against this coin, I believe it has more than a shot

what about old coins if dokdocoin is to switch to a new algo? will there be a checkpoints in dokdocoind? i don't know how do you switch to a new algo without full update of each and every client out there to a new one with special checkpointing that switches algos after block #N. that's probably too much of pain

usually wallets need to be updated, and pools of course need to switch as well, many coins have done it successfully without interruption in block chain, need to study their success and do it carefully

ASIC scrypt users can not be given too much time or they will literarily swallow large % of the coin supply and therefore its intrinsic value therefore I take it back, you want to go before they come online, also several options exists, some like ie X11 but with X11 you lock out large base of users using Nvidia cards (this is being worked on) another options is Scrypt-N this causes reduction in the hash rate per second (everyone will be affected) There is still much time, I think people that will get ASIC scrypt hardware will go after coins with old algos and fast and try to sell coins really fast in large batches on exchanges. This is NOT good for "country" coins especially.. so something to think about.

Additional comments of the conversion.

If you mined, bought or just got DDC before June 25, you can convert your DDC to new DOKDO from dokdocoin.org offical web site.

from May 31 to June 25, we wll handle this with automated service (can take 1 ~ 2days for whole process, but will be no lost coins even if server is down.)

after June 25, we will convert your DDC if that was generated before 189,000 blocks (that block will be generated at June 24~26) by manual checking.

so if you read this after June 25, still you can use dokdocoin.org's conversion service (not on the site yet. you can access that after May 31.)

basically there is no time limitation of conversion and if you have DDC now, that will not be lost. Thanks.

unklo // yeah its NOMP with node.js. after 140comfirmations, minded block reward will be sent to your wallet address. there is no payout statistics per users because NOMP dont collect user account information. and that's the why NOMP is faster and efficient. we are also trying to find MPOS pool for new DOKDO too.

did not quite get the current situation. so, i have like ten thousand dokdocoin, i just built the new software and it shows a blockchain of 5k blocks, not moving forward. digging the block contents i found out these are all new blocks, with new times. which seem to be totally unrelated to previous blockchain of dokdocoin. what do i do about my dokdocoins?  ???

what i mean is how will you pop these coins out of nowhere for me, as it is against new blockchain rules? current blockchain is mined by many people, and even if those were all your blocks(imagine), total coins on the network now is long way behind the previous dokdocoin protocol blockchain value. some people had like 100000 coins there, how would you "restore" that?

nevermind that. i guess the
Code:
Dokdo getrawtransaction $(ddc getblock `ddc getblockhash 1` | grep -m 1 '        "' | cut -d '"' -f2) 1
answers that.

although not entirely clear what will happen to coins that will never be requested by previous owners.

I'm not happy with the conversion rate... 5 DDC for 1 DOKDO is highly unfair.

The monetary mass have only decreased 2.64 times. Old DDC miners -who believed in this coin since the beginning- are getting nearly the half of the previous production! That's dissapointing.

A fair exchange must be 2.5 - 3 DDC for 1 Dokdo. This was a really bad investment for earlier adopters...

You know what? That's not the worst thing. If you made the transations after Jun 26, you even can not convert you old DDC. That's great for the 'lucky' owners. This is definitely a new idea which must be beyond human's wisdom.

jackyhui // hello, newbie? already most of Koreans converted well with this conversion plan.
If you made the transactions after Jun 26, that means you don't want convert (your valid) old coin to new coin
(and do you know that? we are still seeding old coin for conversion support without any outer reqest)
and if you think that this is unfair so dev's can earn more coins from here
(lol you'd rather mine more with your gpu, that will be faster and that will not consume your time for development)
Just try same thing yourself. I don't know how you will waste your hourly wage with heavy mission like this.
And another fact is that, in bitcointalk, there are too many greedy beggers who has no idea of cryptocurrencies future.
(ofcourse some gurus are here too, but circumstances not fine thosedays.)
Just follow this link https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/6872-dokdocoin-dokdo-information/

It's interesting that you mention Monacoin, Neomata. I had never looked at it until this afternoon, when I was making a chart for the Unobtanium crew. To my amazement, Monacoin came out top of the list:

Just been re-re-rechecking the stats, on CMC, on currencies down to a half a mil cap. All That Matters is performance since BTC hit bottom in early April:
One: Monacoin: any thoughts on this chart?:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monacoin/

Two: IXcoin: fluctuation, but still a tad above the mark:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ixcoin/

Three: Potcoin: big swings, but a tad above the mark:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/potcoin/

Four: NXT: way up, then way down; but same price today as inflection day (IndiaMikeZulu is big on NXT):
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nxt/

Five :Unobtanium: UNO has a completely non-The-China-Thing price-history. It has a fair-launch spike; it has Wolong; it stays thenceforth deeeeaaaaddd level:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/unobtanium/

Six: Infinitecoin: a tad below the mark: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/infinitecoin/

Seven: Megacoin: tad below the mark. Had a small spike just after Bitcoin hit bottom, but then remarkably stable:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/megacoin/

Eight: slight drop: YBcoin interests me. It's 'Chinese' -- can't find a single current English-language forum; but it definitely belongs on this list:
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ybcoin/

Annnnnd: here is a link to a necronomicon -- a list of dead coins.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=588413.0

Kudos to Cryddit. It is a scholarly contribution to altcoin history. Cryddit lists a coin as 'dead' when its cap drops below $5,000. I think of them as 'CTD' -- Circling The Drain. 25% of coins on CMC are CTD.

Hey, Litejavichu!

Indeed, Dokdo is not thriving. However, I volunteered to help the Dokdo guys because I saw them as honest. I remain in contact with them -- actually, I got an email from the head dev this morning.

Truly, I have no idea what Dokdo's future will be; but I have seen no single dishonest action on the part of the dev team.

IndiaMikeZulu chooses to work with as many crypto lovers as we can. Connections with non-English-speakers are a fine thing. (I had an article published yesterday in South Korea.)

Why not try this approach? IndiaMikeZulu has lost money on some projects, and made some on others. We play this game with our eyes open: win some; lose some -- but the next three or four years will be fabulous; and we will profit from the deep deep network of crypto people that know and trust us.

It's too long since I posted. My apologies -- I have been writing articles for S.K. coiners every week, though.

@ Riverboat: Serious question? Have you heard anything? Why would the Russians ban it?

You can buy Bitcoin at 7-11s in South Korea! (and they will be cheap)

No contact with the dev for a month. No articles for South Koreans for a month. I've been talking to myself here for too long.

You can always find me at indiamikezulu.com.au

Hello. Have just come back to crypto after giving up mining a couple of years ago when buying many of the coins became cheaper than mining them.

I had high hopes for some of the lesser known coins like Dokdo and Gamers coin. Gamers (now called Gamecredits) worked out well, but Dokdo seems to have fizzled out. I see there was talk of coin swaps in May 2014, is that part of what killed the whole thing off?

Is anyone looking in on this forum from time to time? Mark, you still out there? What are your favorite coins these days?

Cerbera
