Title: Guess Two Thirds - a simple game of math and greed, NOW LIVE
Post by: _cryptoquest_ on August 22, 2018, 04:59:15 PM

All you have to do is to guess the 2/3 of the average of all numbers played. If you guessed it correctly, you get the pot. If nobody did - pot rolls over to the next round. You can play the same number as others and you can play the same number multiple times. All numbers entered this round are visible to everybody.

There are many strategies to this game. You can wait until the end of the round and try to jump in at the last moment if you calculated the 2/3 correctly. You can jump in at the last moment trying to sway the result from already existing guesses by playing 0 or 100. You can guess the winning number more times than somebody else therefore stealing part of their winnings. There are more strategies you can come up with...

Good luck! Every guess is 0.001 ETH. As more players join the game in future rounds the guess price will increase, so will increase the pot.

this is as simple as it gets... NOT
there is no indication when will the round end ,says Nan undefined and what is more important what the hell is 2/3 of the average of the numbers total?
if the game requires metamask installed it should say so
preferably with the big red letters somewhere ,this game is like-hey guess yourself what you have to do and send money
no FAQ of any sorts ,no guarantee the owner cannot rig it so he always wins ( for example playing the last bet while kicking out his previous one etc.)

The site seems almost too simple to the point that players will start asking questions. There's no FAQ like veleten stated, and no provably fair mechanism on the site either, so players can't know if the game is legit or not. I'd suggest adding such mechanisms to the game and then relaunching it, as nobody wants to play on a game that isn't verifiably legit.

NAN of Undefined is likely just a site error. I also experienced this while staying on the page for a few minutes, but it should display __ of 25 spots remaining. I get 16 of 25 when refreshing the page.

I don't have Metamask installed, and I'm not getting any error message upon visiting the site and I also don't have an adblocker on.

Thank you for your feedback. The game shows a warning if you don't have Metamask installed and attempt to play. Regarding  NaN/Undefined - this happens sometimes when some scripts run before others but it is fixed by refresh and doesn't affect gameplay. I'm looking to fix it as soon as I find a decent solution.

Thank you for the feedback! I ran this game as a test for a week and has a fair number of people on Reddit test it. They asked for open contract code and it is available on Etherscan.

How else can I make it more transparent and friendly?  I don't want to run away with money, my goal here is to see how people can apply game theory strategies practically.

Their is no deposit address and no indication of when will the round will start. No details about how to play and when trying to guess it is asking metamask to be installed.
