This is the biggest scam in BTC history and the fat slimey fuck is at the centre of it check out the tell tale patterns in the block chain transactions for February. There were known Gox wallet addresses doing this and hundreds of 1000's of coins are still in the wallets. Karpeles is not only lying through his teeth but he is expecting everyone to believe this crap. very in depth explanation from a reddit user (posted here also) on how it was done. Gox is missing both fiat (~$30m) and BTC (~$400m).
Chances are: a) robbed by hackers/scammers (not possible according to most experts) b) robbed by insiders (possible, but must have been going on for a long time) c) were running a ponzi scheme to begin with (the fact that so much fiat is lost would point to this option) Title: Re: Did Mt.Gox really get robbed?
