BITCOIN price has fallen by 65 percent since its December highs but its correlation between emerging markets indicates the cryptocurrency could end 2018 “explosively higher” than ever before, according to bitcoin expert Thomas Lee.

Where is this "correlation between emerging markets"?
Im not sure I even understand this or what these markets are.

I cannot read anything groundbreaking in the article but
I do agree with this comment "He also points out there's big money and firepower on the sidelines in the cryptocurrency space."

bitcoin will not end this year in my opinion bitcoin nowadays are struggling but still its on the top of other crypto's it may take a decade or many years to take down bitcoin. just wait and have patience btc will recover from its dropping price.

I think some time we see that the bitcoin price is falling but on the other side if we check the people demand for buying bitcoin also change the market and bitcoin become more expensive which is the value of bitcoin in the community.

Bitcoin is one of the most unpredictable things on earth, no amount of evaluations or assessments could predict the price or the trend of this currency but it always surprises its user, no one is brilliant enough to predict its price nor tell us what would be its price tomorrow or within the succeeding months.

Maybe at the end of this years bitcoin will raised to $20,000 or $40,000. I have found many expert talk and give opinion about bitcoin price at last years whit more higher price. I am glad and trust it will become true for bitcoin price later.

I agree. it is just a downfall,bitcoin always fluctuates and has its ups and downs. this is no different. it will come back strong.

Bitcoin will not end, it's a false thought for those who rate bitcoin. If the Bitcoin software is still running on the network, technically, this electronic money will continue to exist.

Don't you what are all the things happened to bitcoin in this 10 months. You really looking to see the boom please keep support the bitcoin by holding the coins and invest on cryptocurrencies more.
After all fake complaints, fake news and regulations tried to pull down the bitcoin but still stay with high with its market dominance and price stability even on volatile.

i also think that bitcoin is getting a tough time but that is not right that bitcoin will end this year. it is now get a tough time and i know it will get over it. i hope so it will be early happen.

If you calculate that btc start a bullish move even 40% more of it's ath in early 2019, it'll be 28k! That's when you'll believe in it

the people that say that bitcoin will end are the people that missed out on buying bitcoin back in the day and want it to end now since they didn't make money with it

I myself am still convinced that this year bitcoin will be able to show a significant increase in prices so that in these adverse conditions traders must immediately utilize it to create success in the future.

I agree with you here. Big companies and institutions are constantly accumulating Bitcoin and signing partnerships with different crypto projects. Market just has to go up at some point.

Seems like you didn't even read the whole thread of the OP, just the header  :D. Nobody will take down Bitcoin ever. And we shall see new heights pretty soon.

Thomas Lee is an americal businessman, an investor and a financer. Such peoples do have immense knowledge and study about the concept they are into. Bitcoins won't shut down easily and it is highly impossible for any of the major cryptos to end up. Yes the price is getting much lower but it can increase as per the time passes by and we all have to trust positively into bitcoins and we should actively support them.

Yes, BTC decreased a lot since december and it is also subjective as a lot for one could be a few for others. Other cryto had lost 99% in the same time...

After a so huge increased end of last year it is absolutely normal that there is a correction, most of people didn't expected so long and so important but it is also in the same range than the increase.

Furthermore BTC is not only a money, it is a complete technology with blockchain used on many things. It is the most known and use.

No BTC will surely not end ad surely not at the end of this year.

I've read yesterday an article saying ETF's will be accepted latest in 2019, there is a huge demand for them and they may drive the price of BTC even to 50.000$. I don't say that we need them but it shows that people are interested in Bitcoin.

I have already experienced times when Bitcoin has lost almost 80% of its value. Nevertheless Bitcoin still exists and has experienced new ATH since then. I also believe that the Bitcoin price will rise again sometime, but it's hard to say whether we'll reach a new ATH this year or next. We have to sit out these bad times and wait for better ones.  ;)

I never thought this year would be the end of bitcoin, even though bitcoin prices fell low but bitcoin wouldn't die. I still have hope and I still believe that bitcoin will survive this year, and because of that I still hold the bitcoin that I have.

It is possible. Because many support bitcoin and it grows over time. So we expect it to happen that the price of bitcoin will rise again and we will recover from all our losses.

So let's take advantage of the cheap price of bitcoins today because of the fact that in the coming years we will see the high price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin always give big surprise. No one can predict about when bitcoin gonna end because of big fall. I am always believe that it could recover even how much it falls because the price still expensive among others. Maybe it continue to drop before the year ends but we still do not know what is going to happen on the next coming year.

We keep comparing BTC value to last year DECEMBER, why dont we take a look of the whole 2017?

The price now is just normal and will be better soon. we just need to wait until the last quarter.

You guys are literally forgetting that bitcoin is already 5000% more than its initial value of 2009 and thus it doesn’t matter if it is down by 65% or 200% or even 1000% for the time being. I mean come on guys, look at the market value since the first day and don’t just compare what was there last year. If you really stick to those prices and try to prove the point of bitcoin existence then I am pretty sure you guys will never have the opportunity to invest your money in the bitcoin with relax mind. This also creates bad publicity of the bitcoin and questions it’s existence.

Continuous drop of btc price does not indicate its ending. Thus, it just proves that btc price is very volatile. Although, we dont know what would happen next.

I agree. No one can predict the future of bitcoin for sure. Besides, bitcoin prices has always been up and down and price still continues to rise in the end. Hopefully we will see the price to continuously rise until the end of the year.

I am happy that Bitcoin has experienced the correction of 65% as it not only stabilized the Bitcoin but also helped it to grow in the long term. I don't think that Bitcoin will end this year or anytime in near future, in fact, I am expecting sustainable growth in the coming years considering the development taking place in this industry. I am not saying that Bitcoin will succeed for sure but I am highly optimistic about it down the road.

Actually, i'm losing hope with this investment specially with these predictions that did not happen as desired. I remember that they said before thay the bullish market will happen last month of May but instead of rising it falls down to almost below $6,000 mark. Anyway this is better than spreading FUD in which it will just make the Crypto market even worse.

In in actual you are not telling these lines these lines are created by your mind is due to negativity that is running in the present time  currency market of Crypto .
you are only looking toward the dump in the market of the Bitcoin and also another high potential coins but you are not trying to see the past where they grows  without stopping and many people made big profit with them and also many people invested at that time with big hope that they will make a huge profit soon .
Dump in the market of cryptocurrency is mainly due to the big whales because the big waves are not that ETF will launch soon in the Bitcoin market that will make it much table and that will result in about 2 to 3 times increase in the price easily so they are creating a dump in the market why there manipulating power of the amount of Bitcoin that they have .
In the present time Institute to become a panic full person , be definite entrusted with the future of Bitcoin and make investment as much as you can because soon the price of the cryptocurrency Whole market will increase.

Bad market for this year and bringing bitcoin to a low price, but if bitcoin will end then I don't believe it. Bitcoin is the basis of crypto and it is very unlikely that bitcoin will end, and I am more confident that bitcoin will rise and return to high prices.

From the feeling I get, bitcoin is headed to $4000. We are getting lower highs on each swing, and soon it will break the 6k bottom. We could also have the price stagnated around 6k for a few months, but I doubt it will happen.

I was hoping for 12k around november, but for a balanced climb, it should be already at 8k now.

The dip was almost $5,800 so bitcoin drops for approximately 70% don't fully expect from unpredictable crypto well that's the prediction of some people that we may get some increase more than the $20k ATH and I hope that may turn the tides for this coming December where people got some hype that it will go up like the last year pump.

The question should have been raised in the initial period when bitcoin tried to capture the currency market. There are many reasons behind 2018's growth. It can be medias, governments, exchanges, investors and etc. Bitcoin will never / should not have an end. We have so many lives grown up with bitcoin earnings. Bitcoin has crossed its crucial stage. Hence just do not worry on its growth. Focus on making use of the opportunity given. Buy as many crypto currencies as you can now. 

I thought it would not happen that bitcoin will end, and don't believe in predictions that may not happen because they are just guesses, and I see this decline can be said that normal markets fluctuate prices will not always be above any decline.

For now, we've also got a higher low on the 1-day chart. If we form another local bottom here, that'll make two successive higher lows (August 14th and September 8th). Lower highs + higher lows is a tightening range, not a downtrend. It's a triangle.

Normally, I'd consider it a bearish triangle because of the trend since last December, but the length of consolidation gives me pause. I'm neutral here, and pretty unsure about the next direction.


I leave that possibility open because of the similar structure around $200 in 2015.

We don't need to listen to another experts here. If bitcoin exploded leading to the end of the year so be it. I already accepted that fact that this bear season might extend a bit, longer that we expected so I will be fine if no all-time-high is met.


Right, they have immense knowledge but I don't think its applicable to crypto market though. We all know that this is prone to manipulation, pump-and-dump. So I don't blindly trust this so called experts. And besides, its obvious that they are bullish and wanted to influence the majority to buy because they also have a lot of investments in crypto.

We will rise again for the remaining months of 2018, this current dump will not last until 2019 so try to invest with bitcoin now. A lot of people still see good things in the future of bitcoin so believe it or not, we will still see bitcoin with a great price in 2019.

Less chance to happen. 2018 shoyld have been an year of Crypto currencies if the couns values have gone ricking like last year. The reason behind the dip would be mainly the coins are held within certain circulation among exchanges and whales. Less demand on coins and on values kept dragging back the value of all coins. Medias are the other reasons behind the growth as well. Expect 2019 should be another year like 2017. Hope the market picks up and moves forward again.

That's true, emerging markets are dropping and the crypto market is also dropping, as crypto investments for big guys are in the same risk category as emerging markets. However, once big economies will start to fall in the near future, they will see that the crypto is the only way to go.

Hope is always there for crypto, but many FUD make panic and chaos happen in this community, there is no end so fast, new bitcoin shows its throne last year and this year and the next correction will always be there, so I don't think bitcoin will end quickly even though the market crashed badly coupled with the many negative issues on social media etc. that would make panic continue.

this year ( 2018 )will end but bitcoin arent .  btc's value are still in a bad shape but that doesnt mean it is close to its end . this kind of situation that we are experiencing right now is only normal and part of the crypto cycle . after the dip we can always experience a pump . so there is no point of worrying nor panicking . what we should exactly do for now is to have a guts to buy a coin since they are still cheap .

I don't think its in a bad shape either. You can say that its in bad shape if you keep comparing it to the all-time-high last year. But at $6K a pop? we are still in good form. The problem with guys bitching around and getting disappointed is because they haven't seen a bearish trend. All the while, they enter and says, cool, we can make a lot of money here, but that's not how the market operates, there will always comes a time wherein we will suffer and that's what we are seeing right now. And as you have said, smart investors take advantage of this situations, slowly building their portfolio and will wait for the right time to dump and profited at the end.

You are saying that categorically like you can see the future. Yes, we are all optimistic to see a better year at the end of the year and possibly till early next year, but I seriously would not want to count on it too much. The trend is always my friend and I prefer to do what it tells me at every certain point in time. So far, the market is holding up, we are not sure yet how well it would end up in growth, and how far it would go or if it even will at all, but one thing that is certain for sure, is that time will give its own decision when it comes.

Hopefully it will but the thing is that none of us certainly can be so sure yet. The last few months of the year has always been a very good one for the crypto market in general, but at the same time, this does not mean that we can always expect the past to be an indicative of the future as things can change. We have been in a bear year for a while now, and no one knows for sure how the year would end up like, but apparently with time, we sure will get to know.

Ending of the bitcoin is not this year 2018 maybe after 2 to 3 yeats from now or in the year of 2020 to 2022 possible bitcoin die or we have new king on that year. But this yeat bitcoin is still king and highest price among the cryptocurrency and stilll good to invest and get more profit before they die.

Yes, I agree with you, where the predicted price becomes a reality, I do not understand people who predict prices, somehow they can set prices to suit their thinking, but must undergo another 3 months towards the end of 2018

We are ending the month of September and if the SEC does not prove the ETF, then we can end the year with the price below $ 10,000 and if the SEC approves the ETF then we can see prices ranging from $ 10,000 to $ 13000 maximum , so I do not see how it would be possible to see this explosion in price.
