Ummmm I don't think the Vatican's goal is monetary freedom and a respect for individual property rights... so politely informing them about Bitcoin may not yield the results you want :)

The Vatican should just form its own blockchain, called PopeCoin. It'll require a cryptographic "proof of prayer" system to validate transactions.

Oh the Vatican

They receive EACH YEAR more than 1 billion of € from Italy  ::) They don't have to pay taxes for their things all over Italy and have tons of other bonuses cause otherwise you go to hell!

And they speak about taxes?????

As one of the most important divisions of the criminal vampire squid that has locked down humanity and caused millions upon millions of deaths over the last 2000 years, I don't think the Vatican's suggestion of a global central bank is something humanity should be happy to embrace.  This is the hegelian dialectic in action: problem, reaction, solution.  The problem is created by global financiers, the public reacts with indignation and unrest, global finance proposes a "solution".  Will the people fall for it?

On a separate note, for those unfamiliar with how the Vatican murdered native american children in canada, go here:

Mass genocide of Mohawk children by UK Queen and Vatican uncovered in Canada (http://www.examiner.com/exopolitics-in-seattle/mass-genocide-of-mohawk-children-by-uk-queen-and-vatican-uncovered-canada)

The Vatican is just releasing the plans of the NWO as a "suggestion" to get everyone acclimated to the idea of a global bank. There is no stopping it, it will happen.

PS: Will NWO let bitcoin flourish as a currency that gives power to the people? Over their dead bodies.

Lets be clear, the Vatican has about as much commitment to faith in God as Al Gore has to saving the earth.

Jesus Christ throws the moneychangers out of the temple.

...2000 years later, Pope Benedict calls for a global banking cartel.

I've heard that the state of Utah and the Mormon church was interested in bitcoins.  The state of Utah just passed some legislation to allow gold and silver to be treated as legal currencies.  If the Mormon church realizes the power of bitcoins, maybe the Vatican will too.

I don't know of anything more public, global or authoritative as the bitcoin block chain. But then again I understand science and technology, not dogma and mystery.

Very fitting. That scene reminds me of "The Visual Bible" Gospel of John on video. Its a dramatization of Jesus' ministry with  Henry Ian Cusick  (you may know him as Desmond from Lost ) cast as Jesus. He does a fantastic job. Its a must see.

Perhaps we can get an article that someday reads: "Vatican can only use cash and bitcoin" ?!?!?

I have a hard time believing that. Where did you hear this?

Yes I know all about the Gold and Silver legal tender.  I live in Utah.  I'm talking about the interest in bitcoins.

Since I live in Utah, I'll be excited and the first person to offer up consulting services toward making that happen... but unfortunately, I don't believe this to be the case, or at least am not aware of it.

That said however, anyone in Utah wanting to acquire some Bitcoins in person, I'd be willing to help out.  Help could be as simple as acquiring them for a fee, or escrowing a deal and providing secure storage to eliminate the risk of hacking and fraud.

Sorry, when they grouped it in with the Mormon church, I thought they were merely making a conclusion based off the gold being legal tender and their insults towards the Roman Catholic Church. I have no knowledge about Utah liking bitcoins and searching the forums Mike's name is the only thing that keeps popping up when browsing for Utah.
