This is a a crypto world market and don't expect everything will continue going smoothly means at times profit may come your way and feel happy and the other way ariunt at times so invest with caution.

What I have learnt so far is that you don't sell your tokens to the bear market, rather, you hodl until the market recovers. Also, this is the best period to garner more ethereum at a cheaper rate and then hodl.

There has been an enormous cases on most bounty hunters and some investors. Crypto is about vigilance and paying attention to instructions.

Crypto market is quite unpredictable. Sure everyone should learn on his mistakes in bearish market. Be patient and don't buy on highs.

Yes, no one will know when is the bull run, we just see it on the market, we can predict but all of us not sure the exact date of bull run, i know the market can recover all we need is to  wait.

The market is always unpredictable though you need some skills and a bit of luck to get profit.In my opinion, taking other's decision isn't a smart move.You should always take your decision.Crypto world isn't an easy way of making money.Again, You always need to attach with markets condition and take a smart decision.

Lastly, don't ever panic sell because it's too risky and doesn't bring any profit at all.

If you understand the crypto market very well, you should know the bull run will not come once! It will not come all of a sudden. You get played by and you still get to think it is the fall of the market without you doing anything and that's how you will keep thinking till you see yourself losing out. If you notice, almost all alts have bottom out.

Sure everything can't continue the same but if you know well, you will know that the bull run will not come in a twinkling of an eye! It's a process and many people might miss out the process because there is no alert somewhere to tell you this is the bull run. It is all games to take you unaware.

Indeed, no exact date for the bull run to happen and first and foremost I would like to reiterate that we still have to stay patience and calm. Control emotions and stop listening or reading those negative comments, because it litterally can't help you develop strong self determinations towards your goals.

Yes, I would agree that people should not get carried away by their emotions when market fluctuations will be experience instead just have to observed and hold your coins. Last few months were horrible, but some very valuable lessons were learned. Right now I am all set for a 2nd try...if not it's ok, if it goes up hard, I am more than ok. I did move funds from less viable projects towards projects that have a real future (after extensive dyor).

I am now more experienced and more seasoned...I do not expect x100 anymore, though some projects do deserve it if you'd ask me :).

what we have these days is not exactly a bear market, it is a dump market where the pumped altcoins are getting dumped as the money exits the market.
in this market situation "hold" doesn't mean anything if you have half a brain. in other words "don't get carried away" in this context by OP should mean "don't become a bag holder" while they are dumping on you.

Well actually this happens when someone starts to invest in crypto, he mostly think that he is a genius in trading and cryptocurrency by giving his own opinion that doesn't have proven technical analysis. The thing that we have to do during this bear market is to wait, be calm and patient all of the time.

Actually in the bear market some of the coins in the market was in a low of prices.
But it will be recover in this coming in ber month or else in the month of december will be started to increase the prices.

Been holding on for some time now, since my entry point was at the time of the bull run. We were at the all time high and I invested some of my funds and saw it grew exponentially. But did not think about the possibility of the price going down. Thus I lost much during this down turn. Really learned a lot and will be preparing for the next bull run.

I do agree bear markets do teach alot, it shows you the worst value of your portfolio, also teaches you to wait and hodl, it is like your test of temperament as well, now that bulls seem to be coming big time in the market for rest of the year it is great feeling that i was able to hold and not panic sell any of my assets.

In the bull market conditions, lots of people will come to the market just by seeing the growth of the crypto. Most of them don't have any knowledge about crypto, market or about the behavior of the market. They are just greedy people. But in bear market conditions the people with some knowledge will come to the market and make profits.

This should pretty Much be the message now. Don't get carried away by panic, fud, fomo and the rest of them especially seeing reds. The bulls will come back and when they do , we will all smile. This is a learning and maturity period especially for those that came into crypto during the bubble of December 2017 and January 2018.

I mostly try to hold bitcoin and ethereum in the most part in order to avoid all the fluctuations from altcoins, plus, I recommend to aim for long term and just focus on some other activities, if cryptocurrencies aren't your thing, you can still make passive income with it.

Yes if you did not sell during the initial dump that happened your much better off hodl'ing.  This bear was especially brutal so hodling was punished however most of the time hodling will work.  Given enough time if you bought a good  coin you will win in the end with some patience.

This is the only time that we will do some deep dive analysis on what is happening and we would make an extra effort before investing on a coin. Sadly is, some people usually didnt care about how the bearish market works. They just know its time to get panic and do others stupid thing. Like cutloss their investment or else. However the people that know to make advantages in that condition also need to be careful.

Wouldn't say that it is a "tough challenge". As long as you can control yourself (emotions), you will be doing fine during a bearish market. You should be investing more only when you are willing to take more risk.So if you are risking, then start investing more during the period of price fall. Yes we all have mistakes to learn. Nothing comes easy and crypto market is uncertain. You need to HODL when  bear market occurs and wait for the bull market happen. If you are at loss don’t panic to sell it but better to HODL until market recovers.

Maybe to those panic person cannot hold of there coins they have because they are scared if the price of altcoins be going down deeply. But they don't it it will be back the price into a high price.

Funny story and admonition:
I had a few coins before the start of the big pump in 2017 - january 2018. When I saw the profit, did not make a profit, as I expected more. When the market began to fall, I did not make a profit, as I was waiting for a return to the highs. When the market fell so much, I have nothing to fix. ;D ;D ;D

Yeah the market keeps gaining 10% in a week and everyone gets excited. Then it dumps 10-15% in a few hours and everyone cries lol.

ETH went up 6% and it's already down almost 12% right now. It a week has lost almost 8%. Stop saying bullshit. This market is dead.

The only good strategy for altcoin in the bearish market is to hold. You can only hold if you have enough plans to cover up for the fund invested at least with a period of 2-3 years. With Crypto market understanding, a 2-3 year should give an idea where the project is going. Definitely all project invested wont succeed, that why one's investment should be split into minimum of 5 at least depending on the size of the fund willing to put forward.

Your post is not very clear, did you invested when the market was at the all time high? Or did you invested in one of those scams that promises you to return you a lot of money if you give them your money? I agree. The bear market is really painful for everyone but it gives us an urge to find answers on why is it happening. It widens our knowledge in crypto and we became more informative, more involved and more analytical than relying on luck alone. They have so many people in here are expert on when the bull market or bear market. But for me i'm just holding my coins that ill have and wait the kind of bull market or bear. All i need to sell my coins into a high price but for now it cant because the market was always in red situation and low prices of coins. So it was hard to trade or sell my coins so ill need to wait a little more.

You invest all in top 100 coins or just some pick out of it? Seriously you won't be profitable if you only just invest in 3-5coins, having a lot of stored coins give you some more gains provided that you can manage them all.  Not necessarily you have to go for 100 coins but it could be best to have high potential coins around the market.

You are right the best time in crypto is when market is down, its a good opportunity to get hold of some coins which you believe it will yield good profit when the market boom again but out of panic you see people most especially the beginners dumping their coins that supposed to of huge profit to them in the nearest future.

This is something that I have been claiming for a lot of time, making money when we are in the middle of a bull market makes it seem as if everyone was a great financial genius, but it is in the bear markets when you see those that are really good at trading and investing, there is a lot of money to be made even in this bear market but you need to be very smart to see it.

Yes, just because of the bear market we experienced this year, i faced so many challenges and i was able to scale through so many of them. These challenges faced have really helped me and made me a better person. I learnt knew things that i never even knew.

When the market is slow you have more time to look back and analyze what has happened and look at your choices.

One of the things that you can do now, for example, is to take a look at percentages.
How fast did btc rise and what percentages? And when did it specifically start to decline?
As it was declining, how high were the mini pumps?
These can all guide you when the next bull run happens.
It gives you signals on when you should buy and sell.

Also, shouldn't we all be buying now?  Crypto is crazy cheap now lol.
