Title: Casascius selling bitcoins below market value?
Post by: Blinken on October 26, 2011, 03:33:25 PM
I don't understand how Casascius can be selling physical bitcoins below market value. Is it some kind of scam? For example, he is supposedly selling 25 BTC coins for $29.50, well below the current tradehill exchange rate of $2.80 per BTC (or $70 for 25).

That's not $29, it's 29 bitcoins.

Oh, I see it is BC29.50, not $29.50.

His bitcoin symbol looks kind of like a $. That is actually kind of an issue that a B with virgules through it looks a lot like an S.

I dont see a problem if you sell bitcoins above the "market price". I can sell my bitcoins in costa rica at the price what I want. Right?
