LOL. bitcoin.com is caught in currency conversion and is confused about bitcoin price.

bitcoin in Iran is worth the same as it is worth everywhere else, right now it is worth $6448.77 as i am typing this. the thing is Rial has been taking for a while so for instance a couple of weeks ago 1 BTC used to be worth 58,032,000 IRR and now it is worth 87,048,000 IRR. if you take the new value and divide it with the old IRR/USD value you get $24000 as bitcoin price.

with a quick google search bitcoin.com could have found that the IRR/USD exchange rate has not been what they used here, for months now.

by the way, EXIR which they are quoting from is not even Iranian exchange, it is located in Korea and i don't see any license! on top of it the price there is exactly what i just said meaning the same as its USD value, nothing more nothing less.

Even though Iran participated in legalizing bitcoin, this did not affect the market price of Bitcoin. For example, today Bitcoin has actually decreased in price what happened with your news.

Iranís Supreme Cyberspace Council has officially recognized cryptocurrency mining as a legitimate industry, a move that could help the Islamic Republic quell the pending blowback from U.S. sanctions. The news seems to have ignited a flurry of buying interest on domestic exchanges, with the bitcoin price clocking in at a new record high of $24,000.The figure was quoted on multiple digital currency exchanges but most notably Exir, where BTC traded hands at a price of 1,020,000,000 IRR. That quashes the previous high of $20,000 per coin. By comparison, bitcoin traded at around $7,000 on major cryptocurrency exchanges on Wednesday. Ethereum was also significantly inflated, with Exir quoting a price equivalent to around $900. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization was worth roughly $260 globally. this is  really a  nice one as Iran fully recognizes and also accept bitcoin as legal tender.

I'm not sure that the price of bitcoin has fallen dramatically and in many countries it must follow, why can the price of bitcoin reach $ 24,000, is there something different from Iran?

Yah, if it is a real $24000 for 1 bitcoin price then all of these people will dump bitcoin by moving their bitcoin to the exchange. :\

Iranian authorities have started concentrating on cryptocurrency, as sanctions imposed by United stated have started to affect their economy. The demand of bitcoin is increasing there sharply. Cryptocurrency offers a good opportunity for them.

There is definitely a confusion here. The value of the bitcoin can not reach the price of $ 24,000 at this time. In both Iran and other countries around the world, the price of bitcoin is $ 6233 at the moment.

This figure is misinterpreted probably, but Bitcoin has probably already hit several million dollars each on places like Ebay where morons paid $10 for a paper wallet with 0.00000001 BTC in it. Unless it's a market of viable volume accessible to the majority of the world it's not a valid price.

In South Korea it was nudging $25,000 but since no one else can get money there it means nothing to anyone who isn't there.

The price of Bitcoin from Iran didn't appear on coinmarketcap because they don't list every single exchange in their site.

There is definitely a confusion here. The value of the bitcoin can not reach the price of $ 24,000 at this time. In both Iran and other countries around the world, the price of bitcoin is $ 6233 at the moment.
It can reach $20k or even higher as prices from each exchange are different due to the limited amount of sell and buy orders. Last year when prices were at $6000 - $8000 there was an article about Bitcoin prices being expensive in India and Zimbabwe hitting above $10000.

Bitcoin is digital currency and it's fluctuated but it's fluctuated at time same portion worldwide and that's not make me sense that however in iran it's $24000. I hear that iran's fiat value decreasing and that's how it's make people to hold bitcoin now as future asset.

Bitcoin accept bitcoin mining and make the opportunity for people to earn bitcoin by mining and it's should be good for iran's finance. And that's why it's should be occur in iran.

That was actually pretty normal considering how upcoming the South Korean market was at that point. I have seen how much depth there was in the order books there. It was mind boggling.

What happens in Iran is just a joke overall with how there is next to no depth available, so one "larger" player unloading a couple of Bitcoins means the market will crash with 25% without any problems.

I remember there was an African country where the price was also heavily inflated, turns out, yet again the lack of depth. People need to look beyond that what news outlets want you to read.

This news was shared in this forum previously and people already proved it wrong. The whole reason behind the news was that people were too eager to post it first rather than checking the authenticity of the news. Go check right now, Bitcoin is priced same in Iran as it is priced in USD.

I donít understand why Iran rate is that much higher. There should be some reason for this. Is there are some mistake in writing currency, as Iran currency is rial. Its might be 2400 rial not $2400.

How is that possible! It's a scam for sure. BITCOIN is worth the same price worldwide. It's universal. If you convert dollar to other currencies the price will be the same in that country. It is never possible that bitcoin will be $24000 in Iran,

I was quite confused too because today on the Iranian localbitcoins page I still see $20300 bids and $20400 offers. But the 2nd post in here explains it all. But theoretically it could be possible, I remember seeing BTC trading at $25k in some countries during the December peak, pretty high difference too.

Not saying that you are wrong. Here the Bitcoin.com has made it very fast without re-checking the data. The price is almost near 12% decreased by. The participation and legalization of crypto in Iran didnít affect this basically.

Even though Iran participated in legalizing bitcoin, this did not affect the market price of Bitcoin. For example, today Bitcoin has actually decreased in price what happened with your news.

That's because they've mainly legalised bitcoin mining (which means sales of newly minted coins in order to earn dollars).

That premium would've been flattened and remained flattened if people from elsewhere could've exploited it. No one, but no one, leaves a 20% difference on the table. It doesn't matter how beefy one market is, everyone else would pour in and strip the meat off given a sliver of a chance.

This is quiet unrealistic but I think its really happening. Its hard to believe on this one, but the news of making bitcoin legal in Iran is a good news for me. I know more countries will follow this steps towards good future. Bitcoin will still remain good around the world, and price should really be the same.

Yeah that's right. Especially nowadays when Bitcoin is going through a very tighten phase no one can think of it seriously for the price to reach so high while there is no common use of it in that particular country. Anyway speculators flow such news to make people attract towards them but this one is a flop attempt. Even speculation too far from the real position will not impress anyone.

The price of bitcoin is not same everywhere it just changes according to the each exchanges and in localbitcoins.com the price will be slightly higher than the actual CMC value so it can be possible if one of the exchanges have huge demand for bitcoin nut it unlikely to happen since no one will pay more price for a product which can be bought at less price in the other exchanges.

Not sure if you have heard of Iranian rial failing against the price of USD right now, which is why there was a fluctuation in price but Bitcoin was worth the same price which it is already valued in USD. So, the news is nothing but a clickbait that is becoming laughing stock of the crypto enthusiasts.
