If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin?
I personally think that people will take their money out and will invest it somewhere else.

Do you think that bitcoin will be a good alternative?

bitcoin is not yet mature enough for investors to be considered a solid place to go because of its extreme volatility and the unpredictable nature of it. but at the same time it has been one of the investment options among investors for a while now.
so it would be reasonable assumption to think in case of a market crash elsewhere, the investors shift some part of their investment into bitcoin specially those who are already diversifying using bitcoin as an additional option.

Hey why do you feel that we'll see a crash similar to the one we saw in 2008? Now let's take a hypothetical situation we indeed witness a crash in the stock market, why would the investors who probably would have lost their money, invest in another volatile currency like bitcoins?.

There is a argument that they'll try to hedge or try to make money in bitcoins, but it's difficult for me to believe that, as most them would be conservative and would not be comfortable investing in bitcoins. However the high risk investors will invest and we shall definitely see a spike in the prices, but with abnormal prices will come panic sales, it might do some good to bitcoins in the short term but not for long term.

People may not consider cryptos as the alternative for the economic crash because most of the times the cryptos are also falling when there is fall in the stock market so if there is an economic crisis in the future the price of bitcoin also will fall but not in great range I think.Gold will be considered as the alternative place to invest their money when there is crisis.

IMHO, part of the stock money will flow in to crypto. since crypto market is only portion of share market size. some might consider crypto as alternative especially the younger generation.

Who was looking for a safe way out from stocks market already found it. People with capital are not stupid and monitoring market for a new interesting investplace.

It's possible for people to take their money out and not do anything else with it. It would be easy to assume they'd be flocking to alternatives, one of which would be Bitcoin, but there's apparently some correlation between the stock market and Bitcoin:

All of this could easily change though, of course. I'm not rooting for the stock market to fall, but it would be interesting if Bitcoin acted as a hedge. Bitcoin is still very new, so patterns are still very much unreliable. All we can really do is observe.

I think bitcoin and other crypto currency itself would be the best alternative to run from the crashing market. Most of the big investors will do this because in the current times if there is any powerful asset or currency is there then its nothing but the crypto currency itself. They will surely put more money into it and also they will have the opportunity to earn big fortune form it as most of the people around the globe would be focusing crypto and thus in the meantime they will put more money into it and spiking the whole crypto a lot more above than expected price tags.

This is why most of the stock people will be leading their way and their customers way into the crypto currency. Gold and Silver are already too pricy and hiking with less % per year so thats not big shot at all.

If that happens then the BTC market will grow rapidly because when they lose confidence in the stock market they will find a new market for them to invest.

I do not think they will invest in another cryptocurrency because we all know that bitcoin is not a fraud. It is a valuable and trusted cryptocurrency. So if bitcoin went back to what it was in 2008. I believe investors will keep believing in it and wait for it until it recovers. But if they happened to invest in another coin, I am sure they would withdraw their money and invest in another more trusted coin. But I doubt bitcoin will fall lower than $4k.

Most people when one investment fails don't immediately look to invest elsewhere. I suspect the opposite effect may be more prevalent where people pull their other investments (such as those in bitcoin) to hedge against their potential losses.

Yes, people look for wealth reserves when a crisis comes. If another crash happens, bitcoin will be bought as a wealth reserve but I’m not sure to what extent. The most traditional wealth reserve was Gold but bitcoin is an strong competitor. In the next crisis both gold and bitcoin will be wealth reserves, it will be interesting to see how it affects both markets.

It will be how much investors view Bitcoin as safe haven vs how much they view it as a risky asset. Bitcoin was many times theorized to be a hedge against traditional markets, and on a local scale it works well like that - see Venezuela, Zimbabwe and other poor countries, but when investors have better access to different markets, they might pick safer options like gold over Bitcoin. Bitcoin shouldn't drop if the stocks will crash, but it also not likely to grow significantly.

The 2008 stock market crash was created by the banks and the lack of good financial regulations.
Now,the US financial system is more regulated,so I don't expect another crash soon.However,if a crash happens,smart people will HODL their assets(stocks or crypto,it doesn't matter) and stupid people will panic sell everything they have and leave the markets with a loss.Bitcoin might be hit as well,but it will recover,for sure.

The fact that bitcoin is completely unrelated to the stock market, real estate or any other fiat related investments mean that it is completely independent of the traditional investments which will be the most hard hit out of all in a financial collapse like 2008.

And with a limited supply, its value should hold up well within that stretch of time. When people see widespread panic within the markets they may even look for a safe haven to store their wealth, and theoretically, bitcoin demand could actually be boosted by this as people seek for alternative investments to park their wealth.

I think it will have not an effect for crypto market because if we compare between stocks investors to crypto investors then obviously stocks market is more popular and because most people still not considering bitcoin as their main investment form then most of them still concern to see stocks market movement so in my opinion if this is happened then the investors will stick to stocks and we will see no significant increasing investors for bitcoin

It depends upon the situation if that time bitcoin will be legalized in all countries then probably investors from stock market diversify their money into crypto if they saw that stock market will be cashing out because once a businessman knows they will earn the know how to many risks even how risky in cryptocurrency.
On other hands, bitcoin now will very popular that having a profitable source so, there's no reason people did not adopt as an alternative way of investment.

You say this about bitcoin touching its lowest price because you have been into crypto for longer than a year now and have monitored it. Those coming fresh to it will not see it that way. The crash will still scare them a lot. You can not blame them when you consider the massive fall. For me I think it will be a great time to buy into cryptocurrencies and not just bitcoin alone, and then also invest a bit into an offline business to keep capital secured.

Maybe and just maybe with the ETF approval, we might see investors rushing into the market in the case where stocks dives into the horrific zone. For now, there may still be a lot of skepticism when it comes to the crypto market and I am sure other physical assets would be the target in that case. I believe in the long run, this would surely be one other well known spot or safe haven for investors but we ain't there yet.

There's a very high probability that a stock market crash or correction will positively influence cryptocurrency markets, if the right instruments for large & institutional investors are in place (ETF, anyone?).

Why large investors?
Small & retail investors are the most likely to lose their money during such a crash and they will always take a break before becoming curious again about investing into anything. They will need to recover their losses.
Large & institutional investors will already be out of the markets by then or will time their market exits accordingly. For those, the small size of cryptocurrency markets is extremely attractive to realize extraordinary gains.

I don't know if I'm the only one that noticed this year, the stocks market isn't so good as well for this year and the same goes for bitcoin. I'm no tsure if there's a connection to these two markets but I'm sure that they aren't the same and has its own different market.

That's a possibility that investors will look for something better and will look for another home where their money can stay.

At that time the value of dollar really went down, which means all the important stuff like gold went up, so of course if we ever saw something like that happen ever again the price of bitcoin will definitely go up however the purchasing power bitcoin will not go up accordingly, we will see bitcoin going up but the same amount of bitcoin may end up purchasing the same amount of stuff because of the devaluation of dollar. Which would even double the cost for foreign people because the devaluation dollar combined with lower purchasing power would result in double the cost for the people who do not use dollar as their currency and need to exchange back to their own fiat currency.

IMHO if it happens firstly Bitcoin also will fall. Then Bitcoin will start to recover and play role of reserve currency. That's why it will be logically right to expect hard growth Bitcoin price.

If we have another crash like that--and I remember it vividly--people are going to have lost money.  It isn't likely there's going to be a big rush to pump money into crypto.  What's more likely is that the precious metals market will start to rise, but even there I don't think the effect is going to be huge.  Silver might get to $20 or something like that, but I bet the stock market would recover fairly quickly.

The fact is that the stock markets are booming for a reason, i.e., the economy in general is pretty damn good.  Unemployment is low, and the housing market isn't in a bubble like it was in 2007.  Banks have all sorts of new regulations to prevent a crisis like what was seen in 2008.  Hell, Bank of America can't even increase its dividend like it wants to, because it has to get approval from the US government to do so.

Ultimately crypto is very volatile and extremely risky.  In the event of a crash (or even a big correction), investors probably won't start buying something they could lose even more money on.

If the stock market will fall then it is again an open opportunity for bitcoin to be the choice of many investors that wanted to stay away in stock market crisis but i think the latter is happening right now. Cryptocurrency is in crisis.

It depends on the kind of crisis that we get, if the crisis is of a moderate size then investors are not going to see a point of investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and it is even likely that some decide to sell and bitcoin becomes cheaper, but if the crisis is as big as some people are predicting and it rivals the Great Depression then it's likely the price of bitcoin will skyrocket.

Generally, we see that assets that performs better in periods of instability will generally hold up better than the rest of the asset classes.

To me, if there was to be another real estate bust leading to another global financial crisis, bitcoin would definitely be seen as an alternative asset to store wealth in for the time being, since it is not manipulated by any single person.

BTC may not see the best performance possible since a recession like that generally means that people will just have a lack of funds to invest in anything, in general. But if you look at gold's performance in the 2008, it did not lose any major value at all over that stretch of tough times. I think bitcoin would closely resemble the performance of gold if it would ever happen.

Correct me if im wrong. I think bitcoin or cryptocurrency was not connected to the stock exchange even thou stock exchange were crash cryptocurrency will not. I am sure there is a reason that so many financial institutions are pressing to get ETFs approved. The stock market has been in one of the longest bull markets in history and many experts believe we will see stock market correction. The reason why it has lasted so long is also rooted in the monetary policies, quantitative easing, record creation of depth. At some point this must fall apart. Financial institutions need to find alternative assets if that scenario comes to play. The question is if a stock market crash will lead a lot of investors to move to crypto or rather traditional assets as gold and other precious metals.

  Maybe many investors well get attracted on the current price of crypto today, because we experience a huge pump last December 2017 so then of we are going to put basis on that price before we can maybe say that many investors will go to buy on it today for good. Its a great possibility that people will look for another investment, but I am not sure they will invest in bitcoin, bitcoin investment is a very risky investment, the price can be manipulated, some people not sure bitcoin could give them profit, some country also not legalize crypto yet, but I am sure some of them will switch to crypto, and once they taste the crypto profit, I think they won't back to stock market anymore

you have two questions, if stock market fail, will it affect bitcoin? the answer for now may be it will affect in a positive way because stock traders will find other ways platforms to invest with, sort of diversifying their assets to other investments and i think bitcoin will be considered as one option.

the other question if bitcoin will become a good alternative, well, definitely yes, if that trader is open to cryptocurrency world, i am sure he already put some of his money in crypto, but to clear things up, bitcoin and stocks are different platforms and does not co-related with each other, means the other cannot affect the other like when the stocks crashes, bitcoin will still be as it is, it is not dependent on stocks market.

You are correct in your analysis but one reason of why the price of bitcoin could go up a lot faster than the price of gold is simply its market size, bitcoin is very small compared to gold and the amount of the speculation going on right now is already very big, if the scenario that you present happened then it's likely that the price of bitcoin will go many times higher.

I believe the stock market will crash soon, stocks are very overpriced at the moment and they are due for a heavy correction.  Investors will look for a safe alternative which may be bitcoin.

Well investors doesn't care about the crash, because huge dip is their opportunity to buy more coin and hold, that was their opportunity because they can .aybe buy more coin and gain when the price will really rise. We can possibly reach 20k USD at the end of this year. We have many more weeks and months to go and enoughf time for the bitcoin to rise.

Bitcoin can't be considered as a good alternative for investments, huge investors don't like huge risks, 1% movement is a lot for them and it happens daily on bitcoin. It can even decrease by 10% or rise the same in one day. Also there are a lot of plans to recover from market crashes but just imagine why will stock holders invest money in bitcoin? It's a question of doubt but I highly believe that won't happen.

It's not as bad as you think it is. Investors can and likely will go by allocating 1-5% of their portfolio to Bitcoin in order to hedge risks of the traditional market. It's the best way to move forward, especially in today's world.

The stock market is boiling around all time high levels with insane valuation ratios. Historically, the traditional market doesn't keep going up endlessly. It cycles through various phases and the next one is the correction.

It probably will result in a bear market lasting a year or two at the very least. The stock market is really a ticking time bomb as we speak, and it's waiting for the first institutions to unload billions worth of stocks triggering a domino effect.

I think that you supposition is wrong because the crypto market is relatively small to absorb enough much money so institutional investors and big money will look for another attractive assets instead of crypto ones. It may be precious metals (gold, silver), foreign currencies (JPY, CHF), government bonds (US treasures) and something other. What bout crypto assets, I am sure that this year will be bearish till the end and we will not see any strong uptrend long time.

Yes that makes sense, we are sometimes biased to believe that everyone in crypto is desperate or on the verge of loosing hope of a recovery as most people got burned. But this is only true for the ones that came late and did not take profits. At the same time new investors are waiting on the sidelines and to enter the market. The ban of social media and Google limited the access to new audiences but institutional investors do not care about these things.

Certainly and I do not expect any serious big time investor to want to play that card to that level when they know the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency on its own can really is a volatile craze of the market. However, I believe things will change over time and people will get to see the bigger picture. It is an unpredictable world but I still believe more focus will be on the likes of gold which has always been an asset in terms of safe haven for moments like this.

I can assure you that the bitcoin protocol has no problems. What is creating tension is the price volatility. The usefulness of bitcoin is not even fully tapped because the focus now is whales and bulls and bears. Yet we hear of mass adoptions.

I think crypto currencies are not at all related with the stock market and they never will be as long as there is no bridge between them and the stocks. I mean it is okay to say if any company that is stock listed is going to make investment into the crypto and then if it is making the prices move but as such if the stocks are crashing or going up then it makes no direct or indirect relationship with the crypto at all so that it can affect it at all. Stocks are just different stuff and they all are dependent upon the real world movements and what companies are doing in the market. If they crash then they crash all because of the performance and international trades etc. So they may not affect the crypto at all.

This is very common, people feel comfortable with stocks and with gold because those kind of investments have been around for a very long time, bitcoin is new and they do not really understand it so they do not want to invest in this market when they are making so much profits with the traditional markets, but once a crisis strikes they will have no option but to look for other investments to try to store their value and to obtain profits.

I think this is the most sensible response so far. Investors are driven by one thing - Yield. Right now the Dow Jones is like a slot machine that just keeps paying out and investors will keep pumping in money while that yield is there. One thing is for sure though, that run will end and investors will stop playing that game and look elsewhere for yield. If interest rates don't rise - they were near zero after the 2008 crash - they may turn to crypto to make money. I don't think bitcoin is a natural hedge to the stock market though and rather than look to a crash as a catalyst to price rise I would rather sees its value increase because it has utility and people are spending it instead of fiat.

we certainly don't expect that to happen, when crypto grows but has to drop stocks. because of the presentation of crypto investors and stock investors, there are still many stock investors from both the amount and the value. if the stock falls, the global economy will also be affected.

Stock markets are often reacting to interest rates on plain cash and also bond returns.    We still have outstanding Quantitative easing programs then have not been settled and this is true for Europe, Japan and many countries including USA.

If stocks are crashing its likely from a feared contraction in money supply which could indicate a stronger dollar.    Currently in 2018 we have seen USD is not declining as it did in 2017.   That whole dynamic helped Bitcoin to become far more popular I think, as its also globally traded and a feasible alternative to USD for cross national transfer

If your relatively speculative move on the stock market turns into a disaster the very last thing you're going to do is switch to an extremely speculative move with Bitcoin. And if you already own some the chances are you'll dump and run.

It's at least a decade or three before it can ever be considered any type of safe haven by a reasonable number of people. It's had the luxury of coming up during an unbroken generalised bull run. That'll be tested some day and the sooner it is the messier it'll be.

Thats a very good question. If it was 3-4 years ago i would say rize or nothing would happen to it. But today when bitcoin and other cryptos are integrated into economy, big exchanges, lots of multi billion dollar projects to a certain extent. It will be hard to predict, but probably it would be affected.

There might be no strong connection with this two market but maybe people will switch in cryptomarket, if the crash is so hard for stock market then some investors will try their luck here. I'm investing in stock market for years now, and for me I will go here if there's another stock market crash bitcoin I know cryptomarket will make a good trend compare to stocks.

The crash in the economy could lead to it being unstable. And there is no guarantee that people will jump to cryptocurrencies in general. Maybe for some but I think many would fear the crash in terms of value or price and because cryptocurrency like bitcoin is connected to prices in dollars it coukd happen that maybe some will just withdraw from cryptocurency as well.

Let me give you an example from real days. Venezuela is in crisis. Their national currency depreciated very much, so many people bought bitcoins and they didn't look. that bitcoin fell or rose, they knew that their currency would fall faster.
Iran, if I am not mistaken, is also experiencing a weakening of the national currency, and as always, people began to buy bitcoins to save their savings. Of course, many of these people were looking for a way out of buying euros and dollars. But as an alternative bitcoin can also act in such cases.

Indeed, I do think more investors might start to see cryptocurrency investments as a relative safe haven, if the stock market experiences another severe crash.

I don't see any connection between Bitcoin and the stock market, and why is the stock market failing but along Bitcoin market is also the victim too, it doesn't make sense. The stock players should start looking for a switch, and Bitcoin is a green market and proven its fertility.

No one knows what will happen, but really, I expect investors to try to want to find a safe haven in which they can put their funds, which most of the time in the past, it has always be in the form of physical assets like gold and silver.

Yes, whether they had invested a long time ago or invested now, it still does not make any difference. The risk is still there but I would not say big investors or institutions are not in this market already, because they are. The only thing is like you said, due to the risk, I am sure they would have tried to manage that by managing what they are actually investing in the first place. Stock exchange has been on for a very long time, so I do not expect anyone to just simply move all their assets into cryptocurrency because of that. These are totally two different markets which apparently give investors the chance to at least trade the market and make profit from it. I don't think that market price will crash as 2008, there are no reason for it obviously due to Crypto currency today is rapidly recognized by many people worldwide, even it has been legalized in some countries. However, if it happens market is crashing in a sudden I think Bitcoin will crash obviously and probably it is not the best alternative investment. I have a theory that the next crisis will be caused by crypto currencies. Regulators are coming in, futures, ETFs what is next? Maybe in a several years crypto will be fully legit, and big financial institutions will bet big on cryptos. Resulting in the same reckless and greedy behavior as before 2008, but on steroids this time. A lot of people have been predicting a new financial crisis and saying it will be a lot bigger than the one in 2008. I think crypto will play a part in it. There is so much money to be made in crypto, it's highly addictive and arousing for the wall street gamblers.

Bitcoin is a speculative asset with no inherent value and no ability to produce income. In a market meltdown, people flee risky assets for safe assets due to the economic uncertainty of how deep the losses will ultimately be. Therefore, it is idiotic to expect Bitcoin to be the one exception to what always happens every time there is massive economic upheavel and be the one risky asset that people inexplicably buy when all the other risky assets are crashing and burning. Bitcoin, as a more speculative asset than most, will suffer correspondingly higher losses.

If the stocks market will crash again same as what happened last 2008 I doubt if it will have the same effect as it was before. Cryptocurrency will not be a good alternative for stock market investors because of the market volatility. I guess what happened before was just a mere coincidence.

There is a possibility that they would consider bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies as their safe haven but there is a possibility as well that they would just invest it in other investment vehicles like gold perhaps and other precious metals that have been their safe haven since time immemorial. You are right that bitcoin was created because of the stock market crash in 2008 and the solution that Satoshi thought of is the creation of a trustless deflationary currency that does not need a third party and then Bitcoin was born.

i think there are much fresh money moved to cryptocurrency market.moreover cryptocurrency price now in low, investors think if they switch their asset into cryptocurrency maybe could give them profit to recovery their loss in stock market.

I don't think that it will have a huge impact on crypto, but investors will be looking for some other options to invest in so maybe they will choose crypto.

That crash was what motivated many people to look for answers in the first place and some of them found bitcoin, if a crash as big happened now that will be great for us, just look at gold, gold tends to do great when the people begin to lose faith in the governments, their currency, the banks and the economy and it is clear to me that bitcoin is going to follow the same pattern so if that happened that will be great for bitcoin and for some other cryptocurrencies as well.

I believe that question has been answered with the insane drop in the bitcoin price in the past month when the market has been doing a bit bad as well. I mean I have talked about this before but honestly when the market is going down people are losing money and it is much more sane to sell your crypto assets first to get some cash before you start selling your stocks.

Alot of stock money is hot money or borrowed and so gold is not suitable in that way.    The majority of money going into gold comes from bonds I think, as an alternative holding for central banks or similar requiring long term storage of capital and the possibility to issue securities or debt against that capital.

Its been a long time since government issued paper notes against gold for people to use.   So I think Bitcoin is an alternative for global use to spend, Im not sure the poorest people will buy BTC to hold unless they are also increasing their usage of it.

I still think there won't be a crash like 2008, that was a one time deal that hurt the economy in a global scale, people learnt from that and now not really depending on american money as much as they used to, banks and all investors realized they could make ton of money from Americans and use it on developing countries to make even more money because a million dollars is collecting dust on an american bank for savings interest rates whereas makes like 10%+ profit in a developing country, but those developing countries are now finding ways to improve themselves instead of heavily relying on us dollars coming in (still uses it a bit but not as a sole solution).

No we will repeat and lessons were not learned or corrected from previous troubles.   Of course it wont be an exact duplicate of previous circumstances but without going into too much detail on each point, for example the housing debt of 2008 which failed is not corrected properly.    The majority of housing debt in USA is backed by the government, underwritten the asset value that backs the debt must keep rising or the government will left with worthless debt.    The solution employed to make sure the price of houses and everything keeps rising continually is by inflation, QE programs which have no end, reversal or neutralization.

Gold and cryptocurrencies are the best economic crisis proof asset because they can stand by their own and they are not controlled by the government.

Yes, actually, when stock market will crash, I don't think that people will grab this chance to buy stock market, but instead, they will do panic selling. But, that doesn't mean that people will prefer buying Bitcoin or altcoins, maybe, those experts will give a shot to this chance to buy Bitcoin or any altcoins. Some people will also buy gold.

But, nobody knows, as it is not happening yet, so let's see how market goes with Bitcoin, altcoins, gold and stock markets. Hope people will be smart enough these days.

grabing the chance to buy is the best idea and smart investors will going to do that but those who dont have a faith on the stock market , they are the ones that will panic but what if they are selling at loss on stock and then they will transfer their funds on bitcoin  ? that not a bad idea after all but i think majority will go on stable assets like gold , real estates , etc ..  but ill expect that btc will grow a little more if the crash on stocks repeat itself

First and foremost you have to understand why the market crash happened in 2008, the global financial crisis was in full swing and all the financial sectors were affected by it and people will not run to other markets to invest during a crisis, i am not expecting much of a difference in the bitcoin market too in case of a financial crisis.

The ones with panic sell could switch to BTC and gold for sure. Those with a lot of $$ to invest will diversify their portfolios.

Bitcoin is the way out as from market crash devastation. I say if you are going to be ripped by the government by declaring no value to your fiat then BTC is always going to be the solution before that even happen. We have seen this happened in Zimbabwe, you don't wanna be holding a lot of cash insides your sack of rice that has no value. You'd rather be buying BTC and other cryptocurrencies to be ready else, its a nightmare you are going to face.

Nothing too scary IMHO. If BTC price goes down due to all the money flowing out then that's just opportunity for more people to buy. Remember if it rallied during the crash more people are more likely to trust it.

We can't prediction with bitcoin crash again or not the same with 2017, many investor miss with bitcoin price above $15k on 2017 and altcoin have higher price too. Waiting for bitcoin halving season where bitcoin and altcoin price have higher price. Maybe hard to know correct time when bitcoin and altcoin up because this situation not possible with bitcoin up.

Since the rest of the posts in this thread are produced by simpletons in bounties and other signature campaigns, I won't bother quoting and replying to them.  Here's the thing: when the stock market crashes investors want a *safe* place to put their money as they take it out of stocks.  Bitcoin does not provide any such thing, and I really doubt there's going to be lot of money being pumped into bitcoin.

On the other hand I have never seen any data that correlates stock prices to bitcoin's performance, so I don't think it can be conclusively stated that anything dramatic would happen to bitcoin if there was a crash.  I tend to think bitcoin would drop, because investors would generally be scared of risky assets, but we'll have to see.  There hasn't been a big stock market crash in quite some time, and I'd say we're about due for one.

The question is also full of uncertainty. It should not just be a matter of what we can do, but rather what we can do to avoid an economic crisis?

IMO, the Bitcoin exchange rates may go down if there is a crash in the stock market. People will be left with less money and therefore Bitcoin purchases will go down. The existing users will be forced to sell their coins, in order to cover their expenses. Ordinary people are more likely to shift to less risky assets, such as treasury bonds and gold.

That would be interesting to watch.
Economy is expected to go in recession if we go by leading indicators such as yield curve inversion and real estate prices. If that happens, I would like to see how Bitcoin reacts to the market. Till now Bitcoin didn't show much correlation when it comes to changes in global economy. I think Bitcoin can be a safe haven and can provide alternative investment opportunity in case of domestic currency devaluation. This should shoot its price up.

the stocks market fall down so do with bitcoin market nearly reaches its lowest since last year. that is a small picture , if we have to compare it and make a simulation i think the falling of cryptocurrency market is sure inevitable.
gold still become the safe haven as we are still watching the old rich guy living , the next generation will highly considering crypto as their safe haven , just the matter of time.

bitcoin will sky rocket up to mars. a lot of the non bitcoin believers will cry a river.  bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies may be the first the forex traders will buy, the stablecoins will also take a nosedive when the crash happen so there is no other escape for them but bitcoin.

If such thing really happen people will be in dire need of money therefore they will be selling bitcoin instead. When the stock market crash it means they are losing money and they are not gonna invest to another thing while people who luckily hold bitcoin will be cashing out to cover up their losses. It is always correlate to each other and the outcome of stock market crashing could be unexpected toward bitcoin and im sure that expecting bitcoin to go up at that time is simply too much.

Bitcoin and alts tend to not rise at the same time. I focus mostly on btc prices though since I've stopped trading. But judging by the general trend of bitcoin average price going up over years, I'm expecting it would receive a boost on a stock market crash, at least until a "bankrun" start and people exchange it for fiat.

That’s what I think also. People learn from their past mistakes hence when something like unusual price surge happens then they would be more cautious. Although a lot of people had lost their money, many people had been made wiser. Also, I think the chances for it occur again is slim due to the aforementioned reason and in addition is the stronger market volume as we know, as time goes by Bitcoin is growing in popularity and day by day new people are starting to venture in cryptocurrencies.

Firstly it will be a shock for people if market crashes as many would lose out a lot of money and definitely those who invest in btc and stocks would have left with less options and might start to sell btc in order for their daily requirements if people are crunch with money . Or they cannot take chance with btc  and lose their money here as well so will sell it .

The Venezuelan and the Zimbabwe situation are because of inflation and all the countries have debt but it all depends upon the economic structure they follow, countries like Hong Kong and Brunei have very less public debt but what i did not understand is that how you come to a conclusion that most countries have debt to China and if that is the case what all countries.

I am not sure of this rocket fly. The stock market crisis will have a negative effect, and Bitcoin can go down. However, it is useless to guess what would happen "if the pigs fly". We need to adjust to the cryptocurrency changes and be ready to use different scenarios (for instance, become hodlers, or day traders- it will depend on a situation).

It's really hard to tell because it really depends on the situation. Crypto and stock market are somehow correlated to each other. They can be both influenced by the economic condition factor in which if the stock crashes, the economic condition could be dramatically be bearish causing others to pull out their assets such as cryptocurrency investment.

What sort of correlation is there between the two (stock market and cryptocurrency market)? IMO, there is hardly any connection, as both are as different as fire and ice. The only vague co-relation I could think about is that in case the stock market is down, then there can be a slight decline in the interest for cryptocurrency. Because people will be left with less money to spend and therefore Bitcoin purchases can also go down.

I don't think that the interest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will have a slight decline as the stock market crashes. The cryptocurrency market is not influenced by the move of the stock market so the investors in stock market will see that invulnerability of cryptocurrency market and that will trigger their emotion to buy cryptocurrency as their backup investment so they can make profit while the stock market is going down.

I think when the price falls it can be a very good moment to be able to buy assets at low prices by utilizing a lot of panicked traders and selling their assets at low prices, for experienced investors will definitely take advantage of such good opportunities to stock as much as they can.

The stock market has no direct relation with the digital coin market and obviously after its crash, the investors of stock market will lose faith in it. If markets are valued in fiat then they are related in someway, and since everything is valued in fiat then the crash of the stock market will have an effect on this market, what we are trying to figure out is the nature of that effect, it seems possible that at first the market will be impacted negatively as those that have investments in both the stock and the crypto market decide to sell their coins to cover their losses in the stock market, but then I really think we will see a positive reaction as investors realize this market is safe from the manipulations the governments will try to save the stock market.

It actually crashes last few months ago, the bitcoin reached its lowest peak since 2017(wherein bitcoin reaches twenty thousand dollars in price), and that is actually not good for us losing our bitcoin in our own wallets. But for me, that is actually a good time to buy that particular token or any other altcoin because I know in myself that bitcoin will rise up again, it is in their nature that the price or value is changing when there is a transaction happening all around the world, the price is changing time by time. Do not panic if the market experienced downfall because it is not the end. Just have patience ad courage to earn.
