Title: I'm interested in starting a speculation club.
Post by: Jet Cash on September 08, 2018, 04:44:21 PM
This is a follow on from the idea of LoyceV.

It is more of a group discussion and evaluation club, as I don't want to start an investment pool. The idea is to make your own investments, and sort out your own timing, but to do this as a result of group discussion. I'm not sure of the best way to work this, and would be open to any suggestions.

Please note - I am not asking for any investment or payment.

I’ve long thought that something like fool.com for cryptos would be a useful resource.

Wouldnt this be akin to whaleclub.io?

Just that whaleclub is more or a shitstorm most of the time

Thanks for those links, and I have had a quick look. My idea was for a small discussion club, initially for low cost cryptos with potential. I have set up a basic framework on my economic survival site - http://wiseaccountant.com/survival/

Most of the threads are on closed boards, but I did set up a few public ones to help members sell products and trade with non-members. It needs to stay as a small closed community to avoid the shit storms you mentioned. I know that reduces the profitability of the site, but it keeps life fun, rather than becoming a work chore.

Bitcoin and alts look as if they are going to slip a bit over the next few days, and then enter a period of sideways movement. This could well be followed by a sharp rally in Bitcoin and an alt run ( Black cat know you know). If this is true, then now would seem to be a good time to research some of the alts that could move the fastest. Quite a few of them have some practical uses, and are likely to become a permanent part of the crypto world.

Joint research and discussion in spam free threads is a great way to form investment decisions.

Yes it is. Most people have their favourite alt to invest in. A lot of people like eth (I like litecoin) and some like other coins too that they follow. If we get a group and can get a few coins we know will react to a bitcoin price increase then why not share that infomraiton and pick up some information yourself without researching (let's say) 10 alts, and just look in depth into one or two.

I agree with you, but as long as people do not invest "lose money as a result of those speculations" the discussions will not be serious.
I like the idea of Khalid, where people propose cryptos, invest, and after a while, someone can know if he is right or not, also his ability to predict.

btw: It's the first time I know/post this section, it seems that this forum is bigger than I imagined. :D

Don't make the same mistake as bitcointalk and set up a forum on the completely outdated simplemachines platform.

Not the worst mistake theymos has made, what's that wisper I hear... oh yeah epochetalk and however much he ended up forking out for that.

In fact, I quite like smf it's quite a slick piece of software (a little shoddy but it's free)... Patch it and release your own SMFB (the B stands for better fyi).
