Looking at the charts it still seems likely BTC will still fall well below 6000. Are you optimistics for a turn around in perhaps October or November?

I think it may be more like December or January. BTC may test 4000 before the bulls come back.

we have no choice  :) Q4 2018 is going to come, and BTC price still fluctuates in prices range from $6000 to 7500$, if BTC fall below $6000 we will receive bloodbath again.

If we take a closer look about past few years you can notice that mostly at the Q4 of the year that price starts picking and going up. If we follow this "Season trading trend" then we can assume that there is lets say good chance, good probability that it could happen this year as well. Although this doesn't guarantee nor mean that it is going to happen 100%. Given in mind that ETFs keep getting rejected and maybe there will be another "bad" news that could have an impact. Because you can't control things that might and could or even happen around. However I am staying optimistic. If nothing happens in Q4 of this year I have good feeling about the next year. All depends how afraid are the people of buying because of the big pump last year.

I kind of think the bull will come in like June of 2019, its based on some TA chart I got on trading view, and also some reading here and there.
However, we never know! bitcoin price now is already higher than same period last year.
I think we all hope the price will raise. Lets keep our hope!

Most of us are hoping it will happen again in this Q4 of this year just be patient and calm this is our chance to buy bitcoin at a low price if the ETF will approve this month Im pretty sure the price of bitcoin will boom and we can see a long green candle but if the sec deny again the Etf proposal the momentum will be change to red candle stick, so just be observer and always update on the news it will give you a hint on what will happen next to bitcoin.

Do you think that ETF's are that important though? I think it's an overaction thinking that the market relies on the ETF's being passed to create another bullish market. What do you think?

In my opinion there will be a bull run in Q4 of 2018 but I'm not expecting that high that it would surpass the all time high in January but still a bull is a bull profit is a must.

I hope it will happen, because in 2018 the bull has never run and I hope in Q4 the bulls will run and give us profit.

It will remain stable until next ETF decision and there were two ETF applications at the middle and end of this month. It could be wrong but that depends on the market itself about how those speculators can give a lot of support to the bitcoin market so many people have liquidated their altcoins to the bitcoin.

I think this year's expected Bull will not come. Maybe 2019! This year continues to be a very bad year for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Maybe at the end of the year the market will rise slightly but the expected bull may not come.

I don't want to give a time frame. Many had given their predictions, they have named all the months and all the first three quarters but still we're here. But, I'm have so much optimism for bitcoin and all its alts, whether which month, quarter or year it may fall, it will recover and will set a new all time high.

It could be we see more downward trend possibly before 6000$ ,I am not sure those who manipulate the market are done yet. The current price is not really a problem, when there is enough impetus for bitcoin to rise, it will take less than a month to reach enviable highs. So it is still possible we see the bulls in Q4

Yeah this I can roll with. I think the market will rise better in Q4 though I also believe it will not be as last year same period unless there is a major news change of course that could drastically change/push the markets direction upwards.  

I think this year is dead for crypto gains. In best case we can go sideways, but by the look of the markets i dont think we have finished the drop unfortunately. Somewere in 2019. we should start recovering slowly.

This is what I'm hoping, but so many people are waiting for this so for this reason I don't think it will happen, is more lickly the pump will happen when Nobody will expect.

The BTC chart shows a possible breakdown of 6K$. In addition, a narrow consolidation is possible at this level. In case of breakdown, the price will quickly return to the level of 6K. And yes, when the bulls will wake up, it's hard to predict.

The predictions are just diverse some saying it will test the 4k zone before the Bull run officially starts. I'm just expectant and anticipating the Bull run.

I`m tired of this predictions. Since the year started, i read about end of Q1, than Q2 than Q3 now it`s Q4. There is nothing else than Q4 left this year :D Maybe the price will rise, maybe not. Only time will tell.  ::)

I think that the market's rise or fall does not depend on the decision of the ETF. Many people think that ETH will influence the trend of the market. This is a wrong idea. Maybe the bull is unlikely to arrive in 2019. I think it is very difficult to know what will happen between October and November in the market of cryptocurrencies and a hypothetical bull run for the end of 2018, but to date the year has been quite bad with a market capitalization reduced to more than half since January and it seems unlikely that in 2 or 3 months we see a totally different trend. However, I remain optimistic for the future, even if it is not so short-term.

Base on all available data on the "Market Trends" i'm doubted that there will be another "BULL RUN" that is going to happen in the last 3 months of this year 2018. And this Year is the one of the most challenging year for cryptocurrency. And lot's of events that affecting crypto industry as a whole. I don't think so. I personally don't expect any changes in the current downtrend. I think we will gradually go even further down with some local pumps. Most likely we will stop somewhere near to mining price of BTC and ETH. After that, there will be a flat period. It can be few month or even a year or so.
And it is crucial whether current projects will be able to show us working products that really solve business problems. If yes, then we will see another cycle of the uptrend and it is going to be even bigger then the last one

Don't forget about Chinese New Year usually BTC falling on Asian holidays. IMHO all will depend from SEC news. I understand this is just hype but all waiting news about ETF.

From the charts I am seeing btc may not fall below $6000, there has been a cycle of bulls and bears activities since this year and the lowers btc has gone to is around $5800 and with every bear cycle, it gets near this price but not lower any more

the market has fallen very much in comparison with last year's highs and it seems to me that after such a strong fall no less strong growth should follow

I think that the market will stagnate for a couple of years, Perhaps the new people who have become rich at ICO will be able to regain confidence in the crypto currency and attract new investors.

Let's just be more realistic and don't wait for bull run and let be focus on how do we still profit in this kind of market, making the most out of it. And by this kind of thinking we stop hoping and just be at least contented on what we earn, like as long as we profit then we're good. Just do more and expect less.

all depends on the good news that will appear. the price dropped because there were many bad news that attacked BTC and the most influential was the status of ETFs, this was what made prices even more down. Maybe the pump will occur if there is positive news from the ETF.

I think we have a decent chance of spring boarding higher towards the end of this year.  I'm also ready to go for the long haul as well.  The market is absolutely crazy right now.  It seems manipulated to me.  I think it will suddenly just spike up for no good reason.  If manipulation is bringing it down manipulation can bring it up also.

I think we will not see any bullrun in 2018 anymore. It may come in January or February 2019. BTC will fall close $5K again.

Q4 is now on its way but we don't see any signal of bull market. It looks like 2017 is a dark year for crypto and we may not see to bull market in this year.

Though considering the present BTC Trend chat, it appears as if it shall fall more in value. But as fall as 4000 by December is what I disagreed with. Don't forget there's strong volatility with Bitcoin that is very much inevitable. I am hence more optimistic that it can surprisingly turn up in values and suddenly any moment from now.

quarter four or the last quarter of the year has not yet been started .  october down to december is the actual start of the q4 and there is still one month to wait and see the real changes . if not october and november , then december is definetly the month that  the bull market will happen .

2017 isnt also a dark year for crypto because cryptos do actually pumped hard on the middle of the year 2017 , however the year 2018 starts verry different because cryptos are declining for a verry long time .

Since january everybody is waiting for a new bull run. But in my opinion, you can forget it. The last bullrun and the dump after was to hard. So it need much more time untill the market will recover. So stop waiting and watching all day the charts. Just let your coins and hodl it, it will take some time more untill they will happen something good.

I am not waiting for that downfall to below $6000 because i guess thats the bottom price of bitcoin and from that we will start to taste the sweetness of profit when bull market comes.and this is not far from reality just keep on holding and the faith as we  are entering the profit season of last quarter

i think so. first 3 quarter of 2018 was very terrible. so many people lost so much money during this red bearish market. i am sure it is going to recover sooner or later. because nobody have a benefit if it goes on dropping like this.

I think that the bull market will come when big players want it. And we will not be told about this. Therefore, it is useless to guess when the market finally turns green and stops falling.

Still optimistic though there are too many negative news that are adding to the flavor of this intense market.

I think the immediate future of Bitcoin looks bleak and it feels that the bulls are far away. Look at the price of BTC if anything its been dropping ever since the Dec spike but never really stabilising near a value. For sure its not looking good.

I'm optimistic that the market will recover by the end of the year or by early 2019. The alts suffered a lot most of the year and hopefully it will recover soon. I bought eth when it was below 250 and I'm planning to buy some again this time.

It looks there will be no bull run in 2018 since we are in continuous fall and the altcoins were fell much more than the bitcoin hope the recovery process will be longer and most of the altcoins are not going to survive this so better to convert your coins into bitcoin and waut for the prices to increase.

I am very optimistic that this last quarter is the turnaround months. The bulls are just around the corner. I even foresee it starting this September, whether ETF or not. Not many see this silver lining and that is why the panic sell off has continued unabated.


Initially, I had thought the Bitcoin ETF would be approved no matter what but now having understood the undercurrents with the SEC I think it's going to be a tall order to achieve. It's more likely to be rejected again than accepted come Sept 30.

Many hope that this end of the year will be the same as the previous. That would be pretty good. But, unfortunately, it's very difficult to predict anything. There are positive forecasts for November and some only for 2020. And they can all be just. Therefore, we wait and hold. For the sale personally, I'm not preparing.

prices are what they are, seems as for now - price reflects real value of crypto, as well as total market cap.
When new and significant feature or usability will be implemented from crypto - world will react.

Nearest possible such event is - Coinbase announcement for November - when they will initiate platform for corporations..

I think below 6000 will not fall, at least 5900. The reversal of the market I think will start in November, in October expect some serious news, which will allow the market to turn around.

It depends many on the Bitcoin ETF decision fromSEC. If it will be positive there are still good chances to have
a bull run in 4Q 2018. If ETF will not be approved then the bearish market will most probably continue.

The sentiment around several crypto communities is that there will be a replica of the 2017 Q4 bull run this year but for that to happen a lot has to happen aside from the hype. There has to be some legislations, some regulations ans some bans lifted in order to allow good market growth for crypto assets this year.

The charts haven't been friendly off late but hey this is crypto, it can be done in a few secs. Also, one other thing I have realized is that almost all predictions made for this year haven't been able to realized and so the speculation keeps on getting high day by day. I agree with your "season trading trend" and believe that by December 2018, the ETH and the entire cryptocurrency market will rebound even though the ETH is currently at a low level Recorded in 2018, is only $ 186. At the end of the year certainly, investors will invest more in cryptos with the psychological hold to make profits.

Last year's scenario was really great wherein the bulls come together and lift the market sharply towards the end of the year. But, this year we never know what might happen. But with the top 20 coins out there, I think the future is good. Looking forward for a bull run before the year ends. Investors take this opportunity to buy the dips.

hmm so many predictions, I do not think so, the most we could expect to reach is $8000 and that being optimistic, of course, this would be a good scenario because a rise as last years would only leave us with more volatility than we have now, and if we expect the massive adoption of bitcoin, I do not think that's the best idea.

Can't see it.  Way too much devastation has happened to make a comeback this year.  I see something going down in mid 2019 or winter 2019 with a full on bull for the entire year after that.  This is going to take a while to sort out.   You don't take hits like this and just do a 180. 

Im still doubt about the crypto bull run in this years. This field need the trust &  proofs of their tech & usability IMO. We have lot of coin in this field & only few of this are legit, hope that the great will alive & can make crypto world more better.

The entire community was expecting the growth of the market after the consensus, then the rates were made for the summer of 2018. Now everyone is waiting for a decision on ETF. As you can see, there's no point in making plans, let's just watch what is happening.

Bitcoin has traded between 6000 and 7000 for a long time now. I think it means that bears don't have enough power to bring it down and in this case, the bulls will come soon.

I think in December 2018 it will rise but a little bit not like as it was in dec 2017 bitcoin and other currency pair altcoins are going to be very worthless now a days so it will take a huge time to increase their value maybe in 2020 it will come back to their old value like 12000$ to 15000$

I think by the middle of next year BTC would have hit it's all time highs again. The charts are actually showing it leveling out so can't be long now :)

The platform that whales have enables them to considerably affect the way the market goes. A few articles in a week mentioning BTC heading down to $5000 is enough to make evryone believe it when it's often whales manipulating the market to favor themselves. They want it to go as low as possible so they can buy before the masses know it will go back up

I don't think so. The market is in a very distressed state and it will take at least 2-3 years for a recovery. If you can hold on to your coins for that long, then it will be good for you. If not then it is always better to sell a part of your coins and convert them to fiat.

if we really observe the price charts on crypto exchanges, we can say that the prices of bitcoin or even altcoins will pump at the last quarter of this year 2018. ETF rejection wasnt the main factor of slow market. large because of many shitcoin is cash out of the market. i personally positive of market performance during 2019 while new legit crypto come in replacing all the shitcoin. besides, slow market give traders and investor new opportunity to join in the market when the price is low.

Some predicted that bullrun will happen again . There are no guarantee if that will happen but what happening now in crypto today also happen last year. So its not far that it will happen again.

Too many millionaire predicted that Bitcoin will hit $30k buy the end of the year so I think they might back up their statement by whaling it. Just like last year popularity and bullish make BTC hit the highest peak price.

Am hopeful things will improve, BTC falling below $6,000 won't be funny. What has kept BTC above $6,000 mark is the continues confidence of investors on the bitcoin network, otherwise, we would have seen a free fall.

there are some ETFs still waiting for the announcement from SEC i can say that they this could be the end of the bullish market in this year. If they are all will be rejecting by SEC and then whole of crypto will get a lot of impact from that. Remember even SEC just release a bad annoucement to the crypto and so many people have been giving a very bad reaction to that.

A lot of expert in crypto also predicted this while the price of Bitcoin is very high last year. But since then, the bitcoins price haven't still really picked up. But I am still hopeful that the rise will indeed happen in the last quarter of this year. That is why until now I am still hodling majority of my coins.

I think the bull rally will start in the 2018 Q4. In 2015 and 2017, Bitcoin started strong growth in September. In the near future, positive news from SEC is possible. Positive signals come from large investment funds and private investors. Once Bitcoin has overcome $ 8,500, an influx of new funds will begin and growth will accelerate sharply.

I just wish the btc don't fall below the $6000 mark or else we might just see another blood bath worse and unbelievable than what we are seeing right now.

I think it will not really make a bull run but it will eventually create a probably stable market for cryptocurrency during the last quarter of the year. I don't think BTC will go below 6k$. Surely it will run between 6k to 7k$. From last some days seems like it will touch 7k$ mark again but today market again red. Just for ETH it's too bad. Over the BTC ETH going down much and some points like end of ETH. Still ETH recover some in last 2 days. One interesting thing I noticed whenever market goes down Doge-coin go up and when market goes up doge-coin.

I believe the market could still try to make some move in the short term and try to test some major resistance, but the thing is that the bears at this point are certainly more active than the bulls and that makes the market to drive down faster than upward. Yeah! That is actually something that would only be realistic maybe sometimes next year or towards the end of next year even, but definitely not this year. Sure, we may end up seeing the bulls in some little action towards the end of this year as that is usually expected anyway, but at the same time, and just like you said, asides from it being not in the same pace as last year, it is not definitely going to be something pretty huge and even testing the previous ATH would only be a huge miracle if it ever happens.

It's important that this market matures as well. The sign of a mature market will be when the volatility decreases. This won't happen until we have more utility for tokens making them far more stable. I am optimistic that bitcoin will rally towards the last quarter. The MACD of bitcoin was able to cross over the datum for the first time since the beginning of the year. I think that there are good reasons for bullish market growth at the end of 2018. More and more countries are legalizing cryptocurrencies, they are becoming more and more common, this will eventually stabilize the market and will change the trend upward.

We cant certainly predict if there's bullrun for this year but market is high volatile so it can drastically rise and fall therefore there is possibility for every situation. I don't believe it, remember we have some ETFs applications, it could give another bearish trend to the bitcoin. So many ETFs have rejected by SEC. It could give big bearish trend in the future. next ETF deadline will be on 30th September. I will try to sold all of my portfolios before that to buy them again on the cheap price, the pump of major coin just like ripple and ethereum just temporary.

Although the recent two days of the market looks good. But I am not optimistic. Well, i don't think bull run will effectively strike in a Q4 of this year becausei haven't seen a pump signal that we can prove to increase the value of highest coin in digiral currency which is bitcoin. Furthermore, it strikes a little bit  up and much down for reasonable value.

I am not so optimistic about this last quarter. The market always does the opposite. The best example is Consensus 2018 meeting. Everyone was hoping it would trigger a nice run up like it did every year before, but nope, it lead to a dip. Same can happen with this last quarter of 2018. But you know what? Q1 is usually bearish for lots of markets and I am sure a lot of great things will happen to crypto then - all those great recent news will finally make sense.

Growth requires very good reasons and a lot of money. Money will not come here just because they havent been here for a long time.

I feel like the bull run ain't gonna happen until Q1 2019, loads of cool projects coming out then that could rejuvenate a bit of faith. Feel like those sort of projects that can be used by the masses will bring in a whole new wave of crypto adopters.

The chart means nothing, chart won't bring new money to crypto, i think new development, awareness and adoption is what will push this market government policy about crypto should be certain as well, government should state if they are in support or not, if government voice out positive support in many part of the world market will change positively.

I guess it has some reasons to be happen in Q4. But bull run is fully depended on SEC decision about Exchange Trade Funds on Bitcoin and, probably, Ethereum.

Yes, if we look back at the market chart last year, this is where the bull run starts and last year also when btc hits ATH also Eth as well so lets all hope that this will be the month of recovery from crypto even though it will not hit a new ATH. There needs to be good news and actual development for prices to rise. That is only logical. The good news from HongKong yesterday and today are i think both stimulating current prices a bit. And there are things expected to happen in the coming months regarding Bakkt and maybe the first accepted exchange-traded-fund of btc. These would stimulate prices further. If it comes out the way it is supposed to be.

For some reason, at the end of this year, there is still no sign of a bullish future, if we see that currently there are only a few coins such as last month's increase, surprisingly, and today we can see BCH prices have increased by 15%, so still there has been no market movement indicating a bullish move.
