Hi, dev, I used your miner  5.6.1.3.b5c on my RX 470 4GB cards that work in 1100/1900, and that's what I got:
phi2     2.2 Mhs
lyra2Z  0.8 Mhs
allium   2.8 Mhs
"phi2-2.2 Mhs" Excellent result, thanks!!!
P.S. What is the fee for the developer?

There is no dev fee.
And you can try teamredminer, which is almost 2x faster than mine for now.

I used miner 5.6.1.3.b5d on my RX 470 4GB cards that work in 1100/1900, and that's what I got:
x22i 2.33 Mhs
phi2 2.6 Mhs
lyra2Z 1.4 Mhs
allium 3.0 Mhs
P.S. After my last test, I reduced the power consumption of my cards by changing the BIOS, but even this did not prevent me from getting a good result.

Thanks for testing. Just updated to beta5e+ release. x22i about 10% faster.

Thanks for testing. Just updated to beta5E+ release. x22i about 10% faster.
I tested the beta5e++ version and I have as 20% faster now on the x22i algorithm and it produces as much as 2.8 Mhs on my RX 470.
Excellent work! Soon it will be the fastest in the algorithm x22i
P.S. I had to remove the option -g 2, with which the miner did not start on my video cards with an "Error -4: Enqueueing kernel search15 onto command queue".

Unfortunately, my result has not improved, it seems to me that the problem is in the old driver, tomorrow I will be reinstalling.

It would be nice if this miner supported mining on the Blake2b algorithm and Siacoin. Now it is a very profitable cryptocurrency for this algorithm, but there are still no miners for video cards that would support it.

Maybe you can try a lower -I number, like "-I 22". Also set "-g 1" may help.

I use intensity 16 and -g 1 didn't help. Previous beta works fine.

Hold on. Did you remove the old .bin file from there folder where "sgminer" is?

Just found a "bug" in the code. I guess you are not using "-w 256", right?
in file kernel/x22i.cl, line 1115, change "256" to "WORKSIZE" may solve your problem.

Yes, I usually use -w 128. Can you copy the whole line here please so I can search for it and edit? I use notepad to edit stuff lol, so no line numbers there.
Tried using -w 256. It works but I get 1.4 mhs, same hashrate as in beta5e++

I ran beta5f from a new folder, so no old bins. I also tried using a bin file made by beta5f with old beta and got the same error.

I just updated the release files. Can you download again and try the new files?

Now it works fine with -w 128. No improvements in hashrate over previous beta for me. Seems that 1.4 mhs is the maximum hashrate I can get from such an old card with these settings::)

Which driver are you using? The improvement I made for this new release is pretty driver dependent. I made some changes tuned for the driver I am using (almost the newest version). If you are using old driver there may not be improvement.

That seems pretty new. I guess that's all it can do for your card. Maybe the performance can be improved in next release.
What's the hashrate of other miners, like zjass or wiildog?

I got a LIBEAY32.dll error when running it, by the way I am mining SUQA with x22i algo, is this miner supported it? But someone in discord shared this miner with our group channel, I am using rx 580 8GB, I hope someone may share his sample bat config here.. Anyway thank you OP for this thread.

To fix your mistake, you need to install OpenSSL, you can download it in the same place where the miner is loaded. Next time be more attentive ;)

Supports Windows and Linux. Supports windows driver and Linux AMDGPU Pro driver. Supports most cards. Comes with pre-built binary kernels to speed up Ellesmere and Vega cards.

https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Estimated speed (beta5f):
phi2,     rx 580: 3750khs; vega 56: 6750khs
lyra2Z,  rx 580: 1950khs; vega 56: 3600khs
allium,   rx 580: 4500khs, vega 56: 8200khs
x22i,     rx 580: 4600khs, vega 56: 6900khs

I know that's far below the speed of tdxminer or teamredminer. Hope one day it can catch up.

Thanks for sharing your miner on SUQA's ANN, by the way im using it now, my problem is the latest version of afterburner only support 8cards, so i have no option to set up my fan speed and also the power.. The old SGminer has the capacity to adjust the fan, power and also the mem core of the card, My question is, is this miner is capable of doing that in the config .bat file?

Don't preach me brother.. Of course i have that on my system.. My concern here is the sample bat file to control my card.. Anyway thanks for mentioned.  ;)  ;) and that error is from my personal pc only I tried to run the miner without adjusting my VM, I'm successfully run the miner on my rig now.

Monitoring and controlling GPU requires ADL library linked in sgminer. This build of sgminer release doesn't have ADL, so cannot adjusting fans. You can try build it from source code with ADL. I will add ADL to the release file once I have time.

Word. Problem is pretty soon everyone is using it and 4x becomes 1x real quick.

Unless you keep it secret, which is the name of the game mostly with these things. Sadly even in the work of open source, cash still rules everything around me. I get it that code does not develop itself. But we have had some bad actors for sure. Not sure I want or need improvements in these algos. Obviously if others use them so must I. Yet I would rather we all stay on the same field as idealistic as that is.

My RX470 (1100/1900 driver Adrenalin 18.6.1) on the 5.6.1.3.b5f+ miner gives x22i 3.2 Mhs
P.S. I think RX570 give much more, but unfortunately I do not have RX570
P.P.S Considering the fact that this miner does not charge a dev fee, he is the best miner for the x22i algorithm.

Hey @fancyix thanks for keeping on the new algorithms and improving the existing ones for AMD miners. You are one of the hottest miners we have in PiMP OS now and we really appreciate the stability of both the hashing and the api, built on sgminer - one of the original miners that is the most reliable - so we can get accurate stats reporting to miner.farm web interface. It was nice talking to you about code today, and it is great to have you filling in much needed work for the AMD side of the house.

Keep up the hard work and talk to you in PiMP discord!

you could try other letters, such as g, h, i, or maybe even j... or any other letter , or maybe even a number, but it's really hard for me to take this seriously when just keep adding ++++.

will your next version be: Version ++++++++++++++++++++    ::)

I really appreciated that you are improving on the miner, but your version naming schema leaves much to be desired.

you could try other letters, such as g, h, i, or maybe even j... or any other letter , or maybe even a number, but it's really hard for me to take this seriously when just keep adding ++++.

will your next version be: Version ++++++++++++++++++++    ::)

I really appreciated that you are improving on the miner, but your version naming schema leaves much to be desired.

Thanks. Let me modify the release page, changing 5f++++ to 5fp4

Sorry, there's a lot of percentage increases after percentage increases. FancyIX, are you able to show a table of current approximate speeds per algo and card in your original post and update it whenever you release a new version? Have a look at how CryptoDredge does it in his thread, very useful. I currently have no idea what card hashes at what speed with your miner...

EDIT: and right as I posted this, I see you've actually edited your OP. Perfect!

Supports Windows and Linux. Supports windows driver and Linux AMDGPU Pro driver. Supports most cards. Comes with pre-built binary kernels to speed up Ellesmere and Vega cards.

https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Estimated speed (beta5fp4):
phi2,     rx 580: 3750khs; vega 56: 6750khs
lyra2Z,  rx 580: 1950khs; vega 56: 3600khs
allium,   rx 580: 4500khs, vega 56: 8200khs
x22i,     rx 580: 5100khs, vega 56: 9000khs

I know that may be below the speed of some closed-source miners. Hope one day it can catch up.

Just made a custom package for hiveos: https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-fancyIX-HiveOS-custom/releases

Hey FancyIX
Thanks for this "attempt"... ;D

Phi2 isn't really living up to expectations though. RX570's just scratch 3MH/s at 1300/1900 (XMR mem straps) and Vega56@64 only get about 6.3MH/s at 1408/1100.

To give you a comparison, a regular GTX 1080 will do 8 MH/s, slightly overclocked, at 85% PL... The Vegas should be equaling that at least. Currently they are hashing 22% slower and draw 35% more!

Keep chugging!

Yeah... still long way to go before profiting, though according to current market price most miners won't profit at all...

I've been trying this in hiveos for x22i but there's no x22i in the drop down for sgminer your sgminer fork is listed tho so instead I used the custom one and sgminer will only use 4 cards I tried different settings with no luck so I ssh into my rig and ran sgminer and all 5 cards worked I dont understand why it wont use all cards when starting from the web dashboard

Yeah, hiveos has some problem in the drop down menu. They seems are fixing it.

As for the Phi2 algorithm and Lyra2z, is extracted at FPGA, so I don’t see any point in optimizing them.

lyra2Z, rx 580: 830khs; vega 56: 1620khs

I know that's far below the speed of tdxminer or teamredminer, but it's supports windows and Vega on Linux. And I am working on improving it. Hope one day it can be comparable with tdxminer.

Beta5 release, about 30% faster
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5

Beta5b release:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5b
Speed compare of release (beta5b) than previous release (beta5): 580 +25%, Vega56 +35% for phi2, and 580 -15%, Vega56 +35% for lyra2Z .

Beta5c release, added allium support. Others are the same as beta5b.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5c

Beta5d release, much faster than beta5c, especially for 580.

Beta5f+ release, for x22i, 580 5% faster, Vega56 15% faster. ADL added so that you can monitor your GPU. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5f++: little bit faster. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Windows version may hang. If so, please revisit the release page and download the fixed file.

Beta5f++++ release, vega 10% faster. 580 improved a bit, for x22i.

So, Mister FancyIX, I saw you on discord in the MTP / Zcoin chatrooms.
Any chance you'd be working on an implementation for AMD hardware?

Andrucrypt seems to have hit a wall, Teamred seem too busy with real life stuff... and Zawawa has disappeared, allegedly to deal with greater things.

That doesn't leave many AMD devs around to push the boundaries. How are you getting on? ;D

ps: miner already works, 870kH/s per RX580 with custom timings, but not for public yet )

280x with a miner Beta5f+ on algo x22i produces 1.5 mhs then 280 should give quite a bit less. 270 needs to be checked.

Was just trying to blow some life/hope into FancyIX and spur some competition, lol!

Considering MTP's a memory-hard algo, I'm expecting the AMD lot to do pretty well and your early figures look quite promising indeed, Mr. Andrucrypt!

Hey Fancy -- I've got a semi problem here... Trying to run the new Lyra2Zz algo...

If I run the bat file with your info in it, I get roughly 1.5 mhs per card... If I run the program through my 3rd party program, I end up hashing at about 1/3 of the speed.

The 3rd party app, basically makes bat files on the go as that algo is selected... Here is the info I give the program

-k lyra2zz -o stratum+tcp://[Server]:[Port] -u [User] -p [Password] -w 256 -I 19

Let me know if it runs stable or not. It seems running on windows is less stable than on linux. But if it works for you then no worries.

Great work fancyIX, and thank you for keeping sgminer project alive - we (PiMP OS) actually funded the multi-algorithm support back in 2012/2013 which brought sgminer up to 5.0. It set the standard for mining, and was used by large farms such as genesismining for a while. They stopped maintaining it, so we are thankful that you are busy working new algorithms in! Keep up the great work, and thanks for your contributions to the open source community as well! We are thankful to have the new hottest coins mineable with your rock solid stability in PiMP OS.

Supports Windows and Linux. Supports windows driver and Linux AMDGPU Pro driver. Supports most cards. Comes with pre-built binary kernels to speed up Ellesmere and Vega cards.

https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b4b

Estimated speed:
phi2, rx 580: 1800khs; vega 56: 3300khs
lyra2Z, rx 580: 830khs; vega 56: 1620khs

I know that's far below the speed of tdxminer or teamredminer, but it's supports windows and Vega on Linux. And I am working on improving it. Hope one day it can be comparable with tdxminer.

Beta5 release, about 30% faster
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5

Beta5b release:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5b
Speed compare of release (beta5b) than previous release (beta5): 580 +25%, Vega56 +35% for phi2, and 580 -15%, Vega56 +35% for lyra2Z .

Beta5c release, added allium support. Others are the same as beta5b.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5c

Beta5d release, much faster than beta5c, especially for 580.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5d

Beta 5e release, now support x22i. Others keep the same as beta5d:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases
Will improve the performance further.

Beta5f release. x22i over 25% faster than beta5e, lyra2rev2 over 4x faster.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5f+ release, for x22i, 580 5% faster, Vega56 15% faster. ADL added so that you can monitor your GPU. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5f++: little bit faster. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Windows version may hang. If so, please revisit the release page and download the fixed file.

Beta5f++++ release, vega 10% faster. 580 improved a bit, for x22i.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5fp5 release, x22i around 5% faster.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5gp1 release, lyra2REv3 support. Comes with prebuilt bin kernels for better performance.
Estimated speed: Vega56 64mhs, 580 41mhs.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5gp1

Beta5gp3 release, added lyra2Zz support.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beat5h release, starts to support ethash:

Recently, there have been a lot of rumors that Ethereum will move to a new hashing algorithm. Maybe you decide to make a miner under ProgPOW

ProgPow seems a good algo to apply gcn dpp instructions. Thanks for the info. Will work on it.
Do you have any plans on adding x21s and x16rt?

Took a quick look on those two. x21s has one step of lyra2v2, which kind of suitable for applying GCN optimization. I don't like to continue working on lyra2v2 related algorithms because there is a bin file originally from lyclminer. That bin file is fully optimized. Some closed source miners simply copy that file to use it as their own. kind of like IP theft but I am not sure how illegal that is. As to x16rt, seems no lyra2 related steps. Not sure if other steps can be optimized by GCN cross lane instructions.

Miner 5.6.1.3.b5h driver Adrenalin 18.6.1 RX 470 4GB 1100/1900
x22i 3.6 Mhs
ethash 26.25
lyra2Zz 1.4 Mhs
allium 3.0 Mhs (no change)
phi2 2.6 Mhs (no change)
lyra2Z 1.4 Mhs (no change)
lyra2rev2 22.7 Mhs
P.S. On the ethash algorithm on the same cards (in the same settings) Claymore's Dual Miner 12 gives 28.2 Mhs. Good job!

Yeah... Still slower than commercial miners. Since the main purpose of this project is open source, hope people can still get benefit from it.

do you think you could implement argon2d250 and argon2d500 for amd gpu?

Recently, a new coin called a Grin has appeared. She has a new hash algorithm, Cuckoo Cycle PoW. Perhaps you would be interested to add it to your miner?

Already filed an issue for that: https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/issues/150

Personally I don't like that coin just because their logo looks so unprofessional.
Also, I cannot see a direct benefit of applying cross lane instructions to do the shuffling. But will spend more time on it.

Fancy , Nicehash added Lyra2Rev3 however since i know them too well .. there is probably some issue with the miners (dont have GPu right now to test it) . If you have 1 can you check it out ? (They added Grin and Beam too ... but with different requirements and such). usually on their github there is explanation (for beam and grin exist one with instructions) however for Lyra2rev3 there is nothing yet .

Never mind. Seems like you'd like me to run this miner on nicehash pool

Try to decrease intensity and put in BAT-file of the miner argument -g 1. This miner is working even with RX460 4 Gb, but hashrate is ridiculous.

Even if you specify GPU to use with -d with mtp, why everything moves.

Also, although it may be said that it is under test, the speed starts without problems even at the beginning,
but when interrupted occurs, it is only rejected.
Environment RX570x8Gx5, RX580x8Gx2, RX570x4Gx1 (because it can not be excluded)

I did try your miner with a bunch of RX 550's and 560's with algo Lyra2Rev3. Was getting very low hashrates 4 MH/s @ 550 and 8.4ish @ 560. It is only optimized for 570 and above or why did I get low hashrate? With another miner I get like 9/18 MH/s. Other than that it worked well, submited shares.

I also tried it at NiceHash Lyra2Rev3 pool and got "Share above target".

Maybe you can file an issue at:

and upload your program there.
Then I can test on your program to see if I can reproduce the problem.

Although it is mining with MTP, I do not know the reason,
but more than half rejected occurred at 2Miner.com.
In zergpool it was 1/10 rejected.

Tentatively, it is a report.

Version is Beta 5 ip1.
Regarding mintpond, occasionally rejected is displayed,
but the reason of rejiected is also displayed, diff is displayed and it was able to move well.
zergpool works well, but only 2 Miner was rejected a lot.

Since you are doing solo mining, you can not choose 2 Miner or zergpool.

I use your mine software.(Beta5ip2)
I use RX580 8G run MTP is normal(hash is 1.4Mh). But I use the Vega 56 run MTP is not normal.(hash is 1.0Mh)
Please Help me. Whether it is necessary to set parameters specifically for vega video card.  Or the software does not support vega running MTP?

Hello,

I need help to overclock my RX580 8gb cards. H/S is ok (1,5) but power consumption is crazy (141W at wall per card).

What OC settings may i use ? (actually i am with 1200CC 2050MC with undervolt 830 for both).

Your oc seems fine. I use 1170 core and 2200 mem with bios mod. High power consumption is expected for MTP

Hey Fancy - I hope I'm saying/asking this correctly... Few weeks back, you helped me with the miner not running correctly (or slow, I can't recall) because of the precompiled bins weren't in the right directory.

I don't recall seeing this as an option in the help section, would it be possible to use a flag and tell the miner where to look for these items?

Miner 5.6.1.3.b5h driver Adrenalin 18.6.1 RX 470 4GB 1100/1900
x22i 3.6 Mhs
ethash 26.25
lyra2Zz 1.4 Mhs
allium 3.0 Mhs (no change)
phi2 2.6 Mhs (no change)
lyra2Z 1.4 Mhs (no change)
lyra2rev2 22.7 Mhs
P.S. On the ethash algorithm on the same cards (in the same settings) Claymore's Dual Miner 12 gives 28.2 Mhs. Good job!

hello - mkxminer 4.2 have for lyra2Z 3.2 Mhs ;) for rx480 8 gb - your rx470 4gb ebaut 2,8 mhs

Work fine 20-50 shares and after a round of duplicate shares, then valid shares and then duplicates, only work good zergpool but with low hash

I suggest add "-w 64".
If it still not working, try "-d 0" to see if one card works or not.

@fancyIX works good for me without rejects. Only needed to lower intesity to 20 from 21.
 mintpond works better than 2miners.

Only one question what could be a possible issue that i can't use -g 2 option? error -33\43 different.
Rig has 8gb ram. linux.  6gpu
-w 64 -I 20 works good. If add -g 2 = error.

Btw you kernel works faster than djm34.  https://github.com/zcoinofficial/sgminer/releases

Great work!
I would like to give some feedback to help you to get even more users.

You should update your first post in this thread.
  • In the subject you didn't write that your miner supports ethash.
  • You should mention the dev fee. Is it still zero?
  • How about a simpler versioning? 5.6.1.3.b5ip3 is hard to read.

The new release with x25x support will come soon.

In any case, what features do you expect?

Supports Windows and Linux. Supports windows driver and Linux AMDGPU Pro driver. Supports most cards. Comes with pre-built binary kernels to speed up Ellesmere and Vega cards.

https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b4b

Estimated speed:
phi2, rx 580: 1800khs; vega 56: 3300khs
lyra2Z, rx 580: 830khs; vega 56: 1620khs

I know that's far below the speed of tdxminer or teamredminer, but it's supports windows and Vega on Linux. And I am working on improving it. Hope one day it can be comparable with tdxminer.

Beta5 release, about 30% faster
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5

Beta5b release:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5b
Speed compare of release (beta5b) than previous release (beta5): 580 +25%, Vega56 +35% for phi2, and 580 -15%, Vega56 +35% for lyra2Z .

Beta5c release, added allium support. Others are the same as beta5b.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5c

Beta5d release, much faster than beta5c, especially for 580.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5d

Beta 5e release, now support x22i. Others keep the same as beta5d:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases
Will improve the performance further.

Beta5f release. x22i over 25% faster than beta5e, lyra2rev2 over 4x faster.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5f+ release, for x22i, 580 5% faster, Vega56 15% faster. ADL added so that you can monitor your GPU. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5f++: little bit faster. https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Windows version may hang. If so, please revisit the release page and download the fixed file.

Beta5f++++ release, vega 10% faster. 580 improved a bit, for x22i.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5fp5 release, x22i around 5% faster.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5gp1 release, lyra2REv3 support. Comes with prebuilt bin kernels for better performance.
Estimated speed: Vega56 64mhs, 580 41mhs.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b5gp1

Beta5gp3 release, added lyra2Zz support.
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beat5h release, starts to support ethash:
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5hp1, starts to support argon2d. Maybe a little bit faster or slower than Dynamic-GPU-Miner-AMD
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5i, added mtp support (still under testing)
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

Beta5ip1, fixed mtp crash problem
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases

0.6.0.0, support x25x
https://github.com/fancyIX/sgminer-phi2-branch/releases/tag/5.6.1.3.b6

Shame SUQA/SIN yields virtually nothing for GPU miners anymore with the lowered block reward etc. That x25x fork is basically completely useless unfortunately.

sgminer & cgminer is old days free mining software, remember good old days with these miner, its my first miner when many coin pop up everyday do mineable way

nowdays only few mineable coin exist, new coin mostly token, and minting from nowhere, back in the day it will be called instamine or scam lol
